He is so authentic. Age means nothing. They are still creating, not living off of old songs. The Sick, the Dying, and the Dead among their very best music ever, in my humble opinion. His guitar playing is at a new height. Unbelievable.
Why do frickin interviewers find it necessary to constantly interrupt their subjects?!?! Just as Dave was going into a deep dive with what he means by "jazz influence" (a topic much debated online) and talking about "hits" and "sixteenth notes" the interviewer interrupts him with "you've always liked that, though." This was going to be one of Dave's most concise answers regarding what he means by "jazz influenced drummer" and he got cut off. Ugh
I mean he did offer Steve to join Megadeth and he turned him down to keep playing in Testament, so it's only natural for Dave to direct his praise to the person who is actually playing bass with him on stage instead of a session player, as much as the session player is fantastic.

He has worked his as off and kept MEGADETH fans happy and he has real music instead trying create 7 to 10 minute piles of shit as a certain band has been doing for lots of years and can't seem to put out any albums they have to do some other thing to make money. I wish more more major bands would use local bands as opening acts in each city they perform. A band like Megadeth has enough name recognition that the band doesn’t need to have bill full of big bands.
So true...last I saw them they played with trivium, lamb of god, and inflames. The only problem was; with 4 big name bands like that there was a lot of material that didn't get played. Bad ass show though.
Dude the two new songs ROCK‼️‼️🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Besting "Dystopia" will be a great work. Pre-ordered mine on Wed.
Dave did an amazing job at making this interview super awkward in the beginning. Props to the interviewer for rolling with it.
Well maybe the interviewer should have acknowledged the Cancer when he was bringing up the 6 year gap between albums
@@jeffblydenburgh5938 the dude that probably has to interview multiple people in a day, it’s funny because there’s 100 different ways that could have been addressed and Dave picked the most awkward way to do it, classic mustaine.
@@jeffblydenburgh5938 Maybe the interviewer wanted to be sensitive about bringing up his cancer.
He is so authentic. Age means nothing. They are still creating, not living off of old songs. The Sick, the Dying, and the Dead among their very best music ever, in my humble opinion. His guitar playing is at a new height. Unbelievable.
Stoked for the new record!
Dave sounds pretty great for someone who had throat cancer
Dave sounds pretty great for someone who got kicked out of Metallica and almost lost his arm
@@caerxhan8313 that too!! He's showing REAL THRASH metal should sound!!!
Why do frickin interviewers find it necessary to constantly interrupt their subjects?!?!
Just as Dave was going into a deep dive with what he means by "jazz influence" (a topic much debated online) and talking about "hits" and "sixteenth notes" the interviewer interrupts him with "you've always liked that, though."
This was going to be one of Dave's most concise answers regarding what he means by "jazz influenced drummer" and he got cut off.
Ugh
It's a shame that Dave didn't mentioned Steve Di Giorgio, the dude who actually recorded bass on the new Megadeth album. Steve is a fantastic bassist.
Absolutely legendary bassist
I mean he did offer Steve to join Megadeth and he turned him down to keep playing in Testament, so it's only natural for Dave to direct his praise to the person who is actually playing bass with him on stage instead of a session player, as much as the session player is fantastic.
Yeah but didn’t sound like anything special on the new single. Boring ass tone.
@@BrainWasherAttendent Bro, you should check out Death's Individual Thought Patterns album, his bass playing really shines a lot on that album.
@@arvindshastry1178 and while your at it check out his playing on Autopsy's Severed Survival. a very different beast
LEGENDARY, all the best Dave
I’ve always thought Dave was a metal troubadour because of the passion that exuberates through his guitar playing n lyrics. I like Metallica but I love MegaDeth n I’ve always felt that way because I relate to his messages n agree with them whole heartedly! God bless Dave n His band MegaDeth, rock on forever my brother!
This interviewer was really a PoS.. didn’t even research the album release date and then has that sly remark at the end “we’ll keep people posted if there’s anymore delays” smh and he forgot to mention Dave’s battle with cancer. Props to Dave for being cool with him though
That was a great interview. He looks good.
Dirk is an amazing drummer and he can play the Gar era stuff better than any of the rest, seriously check Dirk out he’s amazing in Megadeth.
Dave is the man. He has worked his as off and kept MEGADETH fans happy and he has real music instead trying create 7 to 10 minute piles of shit as a certain band has been doing for lots of years and can't seem to put out any albums they have to do some other thing to make money. Dave has been real and efforts are always great payoffs that's why he has a strong fan base. That is why MEGADETH has a strong fan base.
He looks so metal, bring back Blackmail the universe. One of the best openers!
thank u Dave \m/
Thanks for not kicking it just yet Dave stay healthy
At last, 40 years later even haters should recognize than great Man is the most authentic people in the trash metal... He was back in the days arrogant, nasty, trash talker but he always had his own integrity... Some people will say that's because he's born again or have recovery from fucking cancer... But Dave was and still this kind of human being: he stay truth about the person he is and the values he has... I'm not objective because fan for 30 years but you can't deny the fact that guy keep the head up and creates one of the three most important trash metal band... God bless U my Dave... 🙏
All younger bands should always listen to the great wizard Dave
Dave seems well together here.
Dave’s the man
“Well you’re forgetting I had cancer.” 😂😂 Dave is savage
Dave..gotta love him or hate him...
He is a Legend!!!
Awkward at the beginning...the interviewer seems a bit nervous.
How can you not be nervous when Dave Mustaine is sitting infron you haha
@@melanieincognito6714 He just seems a bit glakey
@@melanieincognito6714 i would shit myself
Probs to the interviewer
Going back to what made Megadeth Megadeth is a good thing. Thrash will never die.
I can’t wait in five years to come back to this video when there’s probably a completely new Megadeth lineup and hear how everything changed
We love you ,Dave keep fighting
Dave and Megadeth rule! I grew up on their super sounds!
I wanna see megadeth live sooo bad
my man says whats on his mind i love it, its harsh sometimes but man i respect that
how can you forget the biggest impact to dave in years, mf forgot dave had cancer and thought covid delayed the album
Does anyone know the model of Dave's sunglasses on that particular video? Thanks in advance!
Anybody know what band he is speaking of when the tape started but the drummer wasn't playing ?
