That said, I haven't anticipated a new Megadeth album the way I am looking forward to the next album, since Rust in Peace. Kiko is phenomenal, not just a great guitarist, but has taste, and Dirk Verbeuren is as good as, or better than, any drummer in the world, in terms of talent and skills, but also in terms of writing drum parts for songs, plus bring tasteful, and I've never heard a drummer who combines the power and the speed that he does with the subtleties and creative complexity that he adds to what he plays and what he writes. I mean to take the time to sit down & listen to the record during the writing & recording process and say like “Ahh this is great, Dad, this is probably one of the best things you’ve done!” or “I love this Dad but I think it could be even more heavier” like most musicians’ kids (even when they become ones themselves) don’t even bother with shit so huge respect to him for that 👊🏻
