This is surely some new level of horse shittery. Sure, Megadeth has two near flawless records with cohesive song writing. When you start comparing the bands' third, fourth or fifth best albums you will quickly find yourself comparing songs like Liar to songs like Dyers Eve. That's a dead end.

Lars, stop screwing around. You know each and every sound byte from Rust In Peace and you are jealous of it all.

@@maximusmax4557 Ok, Puppets is an argument but putting justice over rust in peace is so biased and lacking objectivity. Rust in Peace might be the best album from any of the big 4. Maximus Max naaah I think they are on the same level, puppetz has the melody but rust has the feeling, each are great in their own place , but justice better than rust? Get the fuck out
@@maximusmax4557 Rust in Peace crushes anything Metallica ever even dreamed of being able to achieve. Metallica is over rated crap.

Hey Scott Menzies , I counted 35 "you know"'s, you know?
I dont think he know's.
Kurtis Klatt Oh he knows. He knows.
I assume he won't even remember a thing he said. He' definitely wasted as fuck...
Me: That's too many tequila shots! Hey, You got Cazadores Tequila?!Reposado? Anejo?♥️🙂
I stopped counting at 20.
The day we all stop arguing about who is better who is more original who is blah blah blah will be the greatest day in metal. Personally I love both bands and as a musician I am incredibly influenced by both of them and have huge admiration and respect for both of these bands. I am grateful to exist at a time these men were making music. What an incredible privilege.
Finally, someone with brain. I think exactly the same, why hate one or the other band, when you can listen to both and have fun
When Las stares into the Camera and said Rust in Piece..... he basically admitted that was really the best metal album ever.
"Virgin used loosely." - Hetfield
Mustaine was experiencing the paranoia induced by the freebasing he was doing at the time and suspected Jeff of having an affair with Dave's girlfriend at the time. Mustaine called Jeff and said he was fired because he tried to fuck up his relationship with his girlfriend, which was untrue. Mustaine was becoming pretty paranoid about stuff during 88-89 because of all the freebasing that he was into.
I like how two musicians say completely contradictory things, and here you are telling us which story is true and which isn’t when you’ve just read the same shit we’ve all read. How the fuck would you know?
I’ll give it to you that it’s been six years since you typed that.
James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich...the husband and wife of metal.
And you know they role swap 😉
I can't believe how humble Dave is. He's nothing short of amazing.
its great to see the respect they share after so many years
I've never particularly liked thrash metal but I do respect this Dave Mustaine guy... he transcends the medium and has the ability to keep it real
why you no like me?

Hahaha Marty Friedman ! Girls!!!!!!!
Ain't happenin', says Dave Mustaine! Can you imagine what it would be like, though, for them to be making a video, with sum hoochie mamas dancing within about 3-6 inches of you, shakin' their butts and boobs at'cha, right within arm's reach? Dave would say NO to that scenario in a New York Minute...or less!!!
Didn't they use some dumb bims in "Moto Psycho"?
It pains Lars and James to say anything positive about Dave. Dave threatened their egos so they booted him out. Dave rules!!!
it had NOTHING to do with " ego " , they were still not famous in anyway, and it had ALL to do with Mustaine and his drunken antics and fighting.
Those guys would get drunk but not violent , imagine being in a band and your trying to party and have fun but you have that one guy who wants to fight everyone!
Fuck that , that gets old REAL quick.

I'm fairly sure in Dave's own words, he called Chris Poland "the best guitarist Megadeth has ever had", and that's not to diminish what Marty has done, or what he is capable of, but Chris is the ALL TIME GREATEST Megadeth lead player, PERIOD!
well, he said the same about kiko loureiro and i have to agree with him about it
I totally agree with you Dimitri!
I can't stand his smooth jazz legato style.
Kiko himself has said Chris's solos were more difficult to learn than Marty's
IMO, Chris was the best guitarist for MEGADETH!
Nothing like sweet revenge when your former band mates who ousted you, has to now talk about you in a documentary about you.
As great as Metallica and Megadeth became. I cant help but think how much more they could have been together. Can you imagine the lineup of Mustaine, Hetfield, Burton and Ulrich would of been?
DeadGuyAle Maybe the best band ever
Explosão de Egos
Yes, Yes, Yes but if anyone was dispensable it be Ulrich
Kick out Lars and steal Lombardo from Slayer. Haha
Cory Trevorson I think Dave would’ve been the best songwriter if he were part of that bunch.

Metallica was my favourite band but after listening to Megadeth i must say their stuff is slightly better.
The first two Megadeth albums stand the test of time TO ME more then the first two Metallica albums. And of course Kill em all would not exist without Dave.
I've never heard a bad Megadeth song!
@@budmucket Hmmmm... I love Megadeth, but Dave's put out a few dodgy songs over the years. Some of Risk is really underrated, but there's some utter garbage on there too. Same with Super Collider. Every band's put out a bad song at some point though, especially when they've been going as long as Megadeth have.
Ride the lightning is good
Umm Master of Puppets less influential than Megadeth? Metallicas influence allowed heavy metal to be taken seriously and for other bands to be heard!

metallica's great , but they can never be as bad ass as dave. especially when it comes to intricate guitar solos and riffs . megadeth rules .

Metallica was the best with Dave and Cliff. I prefer it harder and faster so Megadeth became better my #1.
LOL Dave is not a bad guitarist, but Kirk Hammet did and does better solos than him. Hammet always was better and he's not a virtuos..
Then Marty Friedman.. well.. Marty is from another planet. He's some kind of beast playing the guitar. Extreme hard difficult killer solos, psycho style, the right wrist technique, etc. He did the better thrash metal solos of all time. He kicks all the asses together.
I like both Metallica and Megadeth. Yeah, that's possible.

Jeff Young is hilarious. You'd always hear Dave badmouth him - like he does with all ex members - and say how he was a "pretty boy" etc. And here he is, hair done nicely and he's totally gentle and effeminate and everything, haha! Notice how Lars paused when he mentioned Rust in Peace? Then he went on to talk about Peace Sells to deflect what he was going to really say. If he were honest, he would say that Rust is considered one of, if not the best metal album of all time.
@bhauger1
This. It's just a blast of thrash metal greatness from start to finish. If your 1-2 punch on a record is Holy Wars and Hangar 18.. Holy shit.

The same stare you'd see on the Rust in Peace portrait shot, actually.
Megadeth's overall body of work is infinitely superior to Metallica's in my view.
Knox Harrington Can’t disgree. Ride was great, Puppets was phenomenal, Justice was technically perfect but lacked soul IMO; still great though. Stack Megadeth’s records of that time frame up and I truly believe Megadeth is the superior song writing band. Love them both by the way.
This is surely some new level of horse shittery. Sure, Megadeth has two near flawless records with cohesive song writing. When you start comparing the bands' third, fourth or fifth best albums you will quickly find yourself comparing songs like Liar to songs like Dyers Eve. That's a dead end.
'infinitely' seems a bit extreme
Eh, I would easily place MoP and AJFA over anything Megadeth related but I still love both bands. Just literally nothing beats those two albums for me.
@@dzaijn Megadeth is still making great albums, while Metallica is really mediocre now. 13 was great, endgame was great, United Abombonrtions was great, and Dystopia was fantastic.
