He had a degree of humility that went way beyond what I expected ( I expected the opposite at least to a degree) and he owned up a ton to his own shortcomings and was very reflective and it didn't seem like he took potshots. I bring this up as he seems very much at ease around Lars at the end of this part 1 clip and it didn't seem at all weird or uncomfortable. I knew Gar Samuelson (Megadeth drummer on KIMB and Peace Sells) pretty well for a few years (early '90s), so the only disappointment was that he glanced over Gar, just briefly covering the period he was in the band, and said nothing about his passing or anything else after Gar and Chris were dismissed in 1987. He didn't even mention Poland playing on The System has Failed.
I wonder why he left Gar and Chris out,.. I know they supposedly brought MR Brownstone into their lives.. but they also being amazing artists brought jazz in..

I secretly thought I was the only idiot that do that because my fingers were bleeding. Seeing this, I feel better today at 50something.

Slayer: Talking about Satan and other good stuff. Very on-brand. Metallica: Lars wanting to start rehearsals with an easy song and then fucking up the easy song anyway. Hetfield as loopy as ever.

They’ve always been buddies. They just used to make fun of Dave for his drug issues. Dave was a bit over sensitive at times. I’m sure Metallica are douche bags sometimes too.
The thing is that the two admire eachother, Lars love Dave for being this creative force and Dave loves Lars for being one of the greatest businessman in metal. On the other hand James and Dave never have the best of relationships.
I absolutely love the fact that they've made it through so many years and they're still touring, playing, making a living, and having a blast - makes me smile hearing them all talking about their kids and stuff, too.

They are, actually i'm a minority here but they are My favorites of the Big 4. I think they are the only ones that remember that music can be fun, the other 3 of course do amazing music but with the time they became stale and Even boring. But an Anthrax release is ALWAYS balls to the wall kicking pure fucking headbanging metal.

Bob Reid is pretty good too, more hardcore. Sheepdog had a more classic heavy metal edge. Apple and pear, both vocalists are great in their own ways.
