I was in Edinburgh, as a tourist, when the queen died. They started to install fences to close the Royal Mile to traffic, and to prepare a one-way pedestrian path at the Holyroodhouse gate for flowers. The first policeman I spoke with came from Glasgow, as many others, because in Edinburgh there were insufficient officers.
However, independent on this sad event, once again I would like to give my appreciation to Scotland and scottish people. I have very good friends in Scotland and I think that this is a very beautiful Land.
    Love from Italy. 💚🤍❤

Depends on your perspective obviously. There was a lot of disrespect it was just hidden away. Obviously it's well known (even here abroad) that half of the UK hate monarchy (primarily London and Scotland, which matches the Brexit demographics interestingly enough). After the state of the Ukraine and talking to the people of the Donbas along side Patrick Lancaster, who has a channel here now -- I can say that the British are sickening. All those people. The graves are everywhere. And as usual those deaths are on you and your evil nazi western fascism. Go and do some more Soros/Biden bidding. It's all your evil country is good for.

@@ianmacewan9416 I hope you see this and can reply.
Why do you dislike being part of the UK so much?
The UK was formed by Scottish King James VI in 1603. For the next 400 years, Scotland and England stuck together, the peasants suffered and the nobles kept us all in the mud.
As time has gone on, the lower classes of both countries fought hard to improve our standard of living, we now live in a democratic nation.
In 1997, Devolution was implemented to allow the smaller nations to govern themselves more effectively.
The decisions on who got to sit in the Scottish Parliament was then voted for by the people of Scotland.
Scottish Parliament are able to make decisions on Health and social care, Education and training, Local government, Agriculture, forestry and fisheries, Transport, Justice and policing and Sports and the Arts without Westminister.
Scotland has allocated seats in the Westminister Parliament so they can affect decisions on the entire UK.
In fact Scotland has 10% of the total seats, despite only representing 8% of the UK. (England has 82% of the seats, despite making up 85% of the total population).
We fought for each other during the wars and died side by side.
Some new enemies want us all to fail, and they want the union to collapse as it works to their benefit.
It helps them prove that democracy doesn't work, and that we can't talk to each other and make things work.
We might tease each other, but honestly I think most of the English have the uttmost respect for the Scottish.
This is our island home, we share it whether we like it or not.
I have always been proud of the UK, and what the nations have achieved together.
If a Scotsman said to me he didn't like me because I was an Englishman, I would laugh and see if he wants another pint.
I consider myself as British first, English second. As do my family and friends.
Personally, I will be sad to see Scotland go. But I think that government should only be by consent and if thats what the majority want then they should get it.
And I think independance is inevitable at this point.
I will just say though, Brexit was a disaster for the UK. The majority of the people decided to cut ties with our main trade partner.
We were all promised control and riches by the ruling politicians. We were told all the problems in the nation were the fault of the European parliament, despite how we had our own parliament at home controlling pretty much everything.
We were told we could make new trade deals with new partners who definitely wanted to buy our stuff and not rip us off with poor quality products.
But all we ended up doing is making things worse.
We cut ourselves out and neutered our international influence over the EU. Made ourselves weaker.
England is Scotlands biggest trading partner.
Now imagine the EU is the UK. And the UK is Scotland. Do you think Scottish Exit will go any different?
Access to free trade is everything.

Love the little oriental piper done up in full regalia, kilt and all. Huge crowd turnout for the queen's passing. That is pleasing to see because each and every person present was a comfort to the bereaved. That is all it takes really, just making the effort to put in an appearance, no need trying to think of something to say or do. Just being there shares the burden. I speak from experience. My parents passed in their early 80s. Just the presence of all those who attended the funeral was enormous comfort to my heart even while I was too deep inside my grief to speak.
