Great video! For those interested the marches played were, (Pipes & Drums 2 SCOTS RHF) 1) 0:06-Green Hills of Tyrol/ When the Battle is O'er/ Scottish Soldier 2) 2:52-The Brown Haired Maiden (Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland) 3) 4:39-Scottish Emblem 4) 7:31-Garb of Old Gaul 5) 8:43-The Thin Red Line 6) 14:06-Atholl Highlanders/ Glendareul Highlanders 7) 16:00-Highland Cathedral 8) 19:35-Scotland the Brave/ Highland Laddie
Well done both bands. Who is the piper 1st row far right (not the fellow with the gold adornments? I thinkk he may be related to my family. Anyone know?
There is simply no music or sound like the sound of the bagpipes ,I fill up with strong emotions whenever I hear the slightest note. This production is totally thrilling. Thank you. ❤❤❤😊. LKFrom Canada.
LUV THE MUSIC ! THANK Y❤U....🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 Brings back nice memories of my grandparents on my mother's side, her 'mum' was Irish & her dad was Scottish. Grandpa would play the accordion or the bag pipes at his big farm in Upstate New York standing next to a paster fence & the horses & cows & other animals would come running to him to listen. I'd feed them some treats.😊 My dad's side is English & I was born in New York, U.S.A. -- How much luckyer can you get with wonderful buds like that to ❤ had in your life...as I'm very proud of all of them.
This is at least the fourth time I have watched this video and I get teary eyed every time. I hits my Scottish inheritance from my dear mother. There is no more beautiful music. Thank you. LK from Canada. ❤❤😊
Great Video, like others have noticed. I watch a lot of 🇬🇧British Military Band music on RUclips, Usually in 💂♂️London💂 This was a special presentation - there's nothing like the sound of the 🏴Pipes & Drums🏴 combined with a full Military Band!!! 🎷🥁📯🎺Thanks! Sincerely, Nathan in Chicago 🇺🇲
I'm from the United States and I love hearing the Scottish play the pipes especially when I had watched a movie called The AMAZING GRACE The sound of the pipes and all of the other musical instruments was so profound that I got chills just to hear it play but for those like myself who are not Scottish must see that movie The AMAZING GRACE watch it all the way to the end until you see the Scottish play the song of AMAZING GRACE It is so beautiful to hear
Soon it will be banned for being racist, bearded yellow teethed men will also say its offensive to their religion, stop being romantic , the Scotland we had say 50 years ago is long gone it is now an festering multicultural craphole
I LOVE SCOTLAND ...NEVER BEEN THERE ..I WOULD LOVE TO..IMAGIN WHAT HAPPEN IF I FINF=D MY SELF IN ADENBRA..LOVE YOU SCOTS ,,LOVE WILLIAM WALLACE ...WE NEED ONE LIKE HIM IN THIS WORLD
Greetings from the US! The sounds from the bagpipes certainly took " my breath away" Thanks for the up load. I was at Edinburg for my niece's wedding 5 years ago. This certainly brings back beautiful memories!
I have some scotch blood now I know why I enjoy the pipes and drums.. I went to. Highland high school . We had scotch pipes that were played. Last week part of the school burned. No one was hurt 😢.
I watch this video every time I can , my mother was a Hamilton ,she gave me her Scottish blood this the love of the music. I can never get enough of it. Totally beautiful. Thank you. ❤❤❤😊. LK from Canada.
Amazing especially the Ps and Ds😊 the only thing I see wrong with this is the amount of vehicles parked on Castle Esplanade it should be a car free area let the splendour of Scotland's capital city shine out!! btw I went to Army school of piping in the castle 1974 I was Argyll and Sutherland Highlander🏴
Thank you for serving. Bro was a piper with The Cameronians and 19th Royal Artillery so I appreciate all that goes on behind the scenes. Too bad our Scottish Regiments are amalganated or disbanded.
Absolutely phenomenal performance absolutely magnificent! When I think of the walls of Jericho falling in the biblical story of Truth I envisioned warriors like this marching around the walls for 6 days and on the seventh day the walls of Jericho fell! There was a city surrounded by a wall no one came in or out at all the people who lived inside were wicked God said this is how we're going to fix it Make seven trumpets from the horns of RAM and March March at my command! Not by might nor by power but by my spirit saith the Lord on the seventh day because of Mighty warriors of praise like this the walls of corruption fell. Nothing inspires greater faster the musical message of Faith family and freedom like the bagpipes! Legendary! Thank you for sharing this amazing performance truly inspiring!
Highland Cathedral is one of the most beautiful, most moving pieces for the pipes to play - and the rest of the band to join in with - hauntingly beautiful, tear jerking. (around the 16 min mark)
We were there and we think Scotland is the most beautiful place on the world This parade brought tears to our eyes We love bagpipes Hannetjie Cape town SA
If I wasn't an African I would have been very proud of been a Scottish For one reason or another I kind of resonate the Scottish culture very well infact I quite understand the garlic very well because its my native language I'm a mandinka by tribe & garlic is very similar to our language I genuinely love the Scottish
I think all garlic are mandinka check their culture And ask a mandinka to tell your about Edinburgh what it means & other Scottish name's it's derived from mandinka language & also their culture just go to Mali & investigate if you don't believe me
If you don't get a lump in your throat or have a tear in your eye when you're listening to the pipes and drums, then there is something wrong with you.
Wish I could see more of that lead snare for the pipes and drums ... lookin' good... I wish the drill (especially the countermarching) was a bit crisper.
By crikey, if you want to mess with a man's emotions give him some o' the pipes. Want him to fight? Gi' him the pipes. Want him to remember? Gi' him the pipes. Want him to cry like a baby? Gi' him the pipes. Oh, the pipes, the pipes, I love hearing you! If anyone has a link to a pibroch worth watching and, above all, worth listening to, let me know.
I have just watched the pipes and drums in this video & once again they have come up to the same standard as all the other bands have been, it's great when they play Scotland the brave & all the other tunes as well, but I like when they play Scotland the brave followed by the flower of Scotland, -what a team the pipes and drums are.

Being of Scottish ancestry, I got teary eyed when the other band shows up playing and then again together.
Amazing especially the Ps and Ds😊 the only thing I see wrong with this is the amount of vehicles parked on Castle Esplanade it should be a car free area let the splendour of Scotland's capital city shine out!!

If you don't get a lump in your throat or have a tear in your eye when you're listening to the pipes and drums, then there is something wrong with you.
Lindo, interessante!!!

I always think Great march.
Impossible! It never rains in Scotland!!!
I JUST LOVE THOSE GUYS AND THERE MUSIC
I have just watched the pipes and drums in this video & once again they have come up to the same standard as all the other bands have been, it's great when they play Scotland the brave & all the other tunes as well, but I like when they play Scotland the brave followed by the flower of Scotland, -what a team the pipes and drums are.
Also I like when the pipes and drums play Scotland the brave, followed by the Rowen tree, - a trimendous video and a trimendous team .
I was probably a SCOT IN MY PAST LIFE!!!
As someone else has posted, somewhere else, in a military context: "You want to hear this beside you, not in front of you" ;-)
Sempre meraviglioso il suono della cornamusa ! Se poi ce ne sono molte...
Mazel tov! Scotland free!

Nice to see real Scotsmen in kilts for a change.
