Many Japanese people express gratitude to the Queen for her kindness. We sincerely offer our condolences.
The monarchy may continue, but she truly is the end of an era of human history. Some dark events, some light, good and bad, but we won't ever see her like again.
I was 2 months old when she became Queen. She was my boss for 22 years when I served in the Royal Air Force. She has been with me my whole life, from babe to now a 71 years old pensioner. I am pleased she passed away in Scotland, my home and her Majesty's favourite place. I will miss her.
She really was like a grandmother to us all. Never forget the 600 year old tradition she broke in 2001 by playing the US National Anthem during the changing of the guards.
The Queue was one of the most gruelling and difficult things I've ever put myself through, but it was completely worth it. The moment I stepped into Westminster Hall, all the fatigue, the hunger, the pain in my feet and my aching muscles just...went away. For a moment there was an incredible peace. A sad peace, but still...it's the holiest and most spiritual moment of my life to date. And it was, at the end of the day, a mere fourteen hours. Tiny, in comparison to a long lifetime of service and responsibility.
Three of the four members of my family made exactly the same journey - round about eighteen hours for us. Words cannot describe my feelings going into that blessed place. Strangely enough, I'd spent much of the time walking expecting to be holding back an ocean of tears when I got in there. Didn't happen; the sense of wonderment overtook all else. I'd also had it fairly clear in my head of what I was going to do when facing her coffin. When the moment came, the most appropriate thing I could think to do was a two or three second bow. It didn't seem a sufficiently adequate show of respect at all considering who it was laid five feet in front of me. You, likewise, have my respect, sir, for finding the strength to endure. And it really did take some strength to do it. I must say, they might have chosen something a little less troublesome than those ghastly plastic walkways in the last mile!
As a Royal Navy serviceman for 22 years, this hit harder than I ever imagined, even at her funeral Ive never felt more proud to be British as I said goodbye to the greatest ever Brit. Rip Ma'am
But didn't the Navy lads and lasses do her proud on that gun carriage? Although its not shown here I was OK on the day until the Starboard (brake) crew snapped back in line outside Westminster Hall. It was like OK this is now very real. And they recovered really well from a missed start by the pipes at the 'Slow March'. Well done the Jacks from an ex Crab.
Same here 9 years in the RN and still going. I was serving on the RFA Argus at the time we heard the news of Queen Elizabeth's passing. Everything stopped, me and me fellow matlot's stood and raised a toast to her majesty. Everyone in unison wishing to mark her passing and show their respect

Dear sir, Her Royal Majesty or Her Majesty Elizabeth II. She is not Princess since her accession in 1952. When His Majesty King George VI was the Sovereign she was HRH Princess Elizabeth and also Duchess of Edinburgh before she married when she did Prince Phillip also became Duke of Edinburgh since HRM was already Duchess of that realm as well.

I did not expect her death to affect me, but it really did. She represented continuity; a connection to events from earlier in her reign and in her life, and the station of Queen (or King) being a connection going back much farther. This type of continuity is literally the glue that holds civilization / culture together, and in a time when a lot of people want to create a new "year zero" and erase the past, it's more important than ever. RIP and greetings from Canada.
I'm American and my family came from Scotland almost a hundred years ago, but I hope that the British Royal Family never dies off because the tradition and history of it all really is beautiful and amazing.
Those men who carried her casket will tell this to their great grandchildren for years to come. What an honor. Farewell Your Majesty. Your duty is done. Long live the King. From the U.S.
Every time I hear the words “the death of her majesty, Queen Elizabeth II my eyes fill with tears. She was such a warm and devoted woman, to her country, her husband, her children, her extended family and everyone in the commonwealth and around the world. She was so trusted to do the right thing and she not only earned that trust but kept it until her last breath. My heart hurts for her daughter Ann. Hardest working royal and her mother’s companion.❤
I am American but Queen Elizabeth was always there since i was born and ive always connected Great Britain with her. I was saddened at her passing, a great presence has gone out of the world.
The British and my USA will always have each other's backs. It is like any other family that has a spat here and there....but when it comes helping each other, the USA could not have better brothers and sisters. Her address to the nation during the COVID-19 pandemic is one for the ages. I felt a lot better after her address. From Brook Park, MN.

Of every video on RUclips, this is the one I keep going back to every other evening. There is something almost beautiful about the ability to capture such a tragic loss within six minutes and it consistently brings me to tears. The weight of history captured in this video is overwhelming and the thought that we are witnessing an end to the monarchy of the old world is so powerful. God Save The Queen. She was a symbol of stability and learning from the past to adapt to this modern world. Regardless of your thoughts on the royal family, this was a woman who had not only witnessed, but had been involved with the vast majority of events and decision making moments of our recent history and we are lesser without her guidance. Truly historic. Sleep well Queen, and thank you.
The saddest day of my life, it reminded me of the passing of my mother aged 96. I'm fortunate to have met HM Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace, Sandringham and St James Palace, "God bless you ma-am", Oh how we miss you.

I am Argentine, born, raised and made, but seeing the love they had for this QUEEN has infected me years ago, there will always be that pain for Argentines, which is Malvinas, but how can such a person be missed, there is no ceremony , that she can enlarge it, because she did it alone, I DECLARE BEFORE ALL OF YOU, MAY MY WHOLE LIFE BE SHORT OR LONG, not only her laughing impacts me, but her life in particular. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN, finally, Argentina and the United Kingdom have more coincidences than differences, I hope that one day they will be able to see it.
Come on, amigo, the Spanish Argentines had no more rights in the Falklands than the British. Except for geographical proximity. Brits have been there since 1760s. Before that they were uninhabited.

I can say the same here in the United States... I had immense respect for her and the royal family, especially with the way she played our anthem outside Buckingham palace after the attacks happened... she was truly a remarkable Queen. Hope she is at peace with her Beloved Phillip now. 🙏
As an Indian, even though we have terrible history. The Queen was a genuinely nice lady, and always cared for not just her own people, but everyone in the world as well. Her passing seems to mark the end of the old post World War 2 world... She was like the unofficial Grandma of Earth, from an empire that once ruled the Earth
What a lovely response. 😊 She was indeed - my grandmother got an MBE from her, and after her death and that of my grandfather, she sent me a letter of condolence. Since it was a time when most of my friends were too distracted by politics of Brexit and Trump to notice, I'll never forget that.
I was four days old as she becomes Queen. Later she was an institution. Ther are many Queens in the world. But she was "The Queen". She remains unforgotten. She was the United Kingdom more than the Kindom itself. And sorry for my bad english, because I am a German. Rest in peace, your majesty.

As an American I'm not supposed to support royalty, but this woman was different. For what it's worth I miss her being there. Had I been English she would have been the only monarch I'd known. And oh, those corgis and the horse being present, that almost brought tears to my eyes.
