One has to hand it to the British. They have the best ceremonies and pageantry in the world. HMTQ was absolutely regal, dutiful, compassionate and dedicated to God and her country. There will never be another like her. Many of us feel like we lost another mother. How privileged I was to be born when her reign began.

Lest we forget, this amazing woman was also a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. It must have been so difficult for her loved ones to have to grieve so publicly. The Princess Royal was the epitome of grace and strength, accompanying her Mother throughout.
As South Africans we despise the colonisation of our country by Great Britain. But we are a forgiving people. We appreciate her late Majesty's efforts and recognize the strides she made in uniting the Common Wealth, of which South Africa is a member state... May her soul rest in eternal peace. #GodSaveTheQueen
It wasn’t only a few months after the then Princess Elizabeth visited South Africa when the Anglophobic-Afrikaner Nationalist National Party was elected into government and installed Apartheid after 38-ish years of rising racial tensions and the overall reluctance of the Afrikaner people to join the World Wars 30 years after Mandela was elected, and well. South Africa seems to be in a worse place than 30 years before Mandela’s time
@@lebomncayi238 The problem is that it is not just something in the past. They are still sitting on the Crown Jewels from India and did not return the wealth they stole from us. So India still suffers the consequences of the British colonization to this very moment. We are still mentally enslaved to white people and our people have been broken spiritually and physically from the inside out. It’s not just a past incident to be taken lightly but a system they have installed that will benefit them to this day and the future at the expense of us. Our ancestors were screwed and we are still screwed. Somehow we have worked hard in this corrupt system that enslaved us in order to come up and survive. So why exactly should I praise this queen? If anything it was God bringing us out of enslavement of this royal family
Whenever I hear this now, no matter where I am, no matter what I am doing, my eyes fill with tears and my thoughts turn again to the memory of my departed Queen. Queen Elizabeth, to me, was the essence of who we are as a nation , and upon the day of her death, we not only lost our beloved Queen, but, we lost a little of ourselves that we will never see again.
You are right. We should celebrate her life, that she was there for us for that long time. But still I miss her. I was 5 years old, when she was crowned. My mother , brother , sister and I watched the ceremony outside a radio and television shop. I still remember the wonderful carriage she was in. These were my earliest memories of her. R I P YOUR MAJESTY ♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️
I served her In the Parachute Regiment for 28yrs, and it was a pleasure. To us, The Queen was simply, aptly named, The Boss. This tribute is so fitting for someone that served a nation for 70yrs.
Although I am a 71 American , I feel as though I have lost my mother, again . She was a wonderful woman . My prayers continue for King Charles lll, his family and Great Britain.
When i heard the news i was on my way to scotland with a load. Heard the news and cried all the way up. Big trucker crying. She wasn't just our Queen. She was the world's Queen.. she made a vow to this country and seen it out. One of the worst days of my life. Still brings me to tears losing my Queen. Rip my queen
Lmao Queen of world?? U gotta be kidding me 😂😂😂 not everyone worships monarchs like you people. I dont even know why yall like monarchs, they view regular people like us as commoners and servants, u are sheep 😂😂
As a Yank, I have never known a day when Elizabeth was not Queen. As I have watched her rule and age so gracefully over the decades, it is hard to imagine another person so dedicated to her people. I weep just watching this excerpt from here state funeral. The world was richer for her presence, and is much impoverished by her passing. 😢
I feel the same! I am 65 years old and I have never known anyone or anything else. I may be a Yank and we fought a revolution to be free of British rule, but I have always had much respect, admiration and reverence for the late Queen. She had many admirable qualities that I have looked toward when trying to live my life. I will miss her.
Two weeks later and still utterly heartbroken. Her majesty was irreplaceable and it will take Britain a long time to get over losing her. Beautiful video I might add. A very appropriate hymn. Nobody could better be linked with the title 'I Vow to Thee my Country' more than our late Queen. We were privileged to have her. The monarchy will never die.1000 years from now her legend will be spoken of. The greatest monarch this kingdom has ever seen. I am honoured to have been one of her people. I will never forget her. Proud to be a royalist. May she rest in peace and rise in glory. God rest the Queen. God save the King
Also played at the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral. Flowers of the Forest was the lone piper at his funeral which was also played at the Queen service but her lone piper played A Salute to the Royal Fendersmith
I'm still heartbroken too. I think I have got over it, but then RUclips recommends some recent videos about the Queen or the new King and I get upset again. I've just been in Sainsburys looking at the magazines. They all have beautiful photos of the Queen on their covers. So many reminders.
I was born in 1952 when the old king died. I have a photo of my beloved dad holding me at an east London Street party for the queen's coronation the next year. A treasured possession. Elizabeth the second was not just the queen , she was our queen in all our hearts.
I was born the same year about a month after the king died. Therefore like you I have known no other monarch until now. A great loss but a great queen.
American here and just any mention of the UK. She came to mind first. She was and will always be the United Kingdom to me. She will be the Queen forever in my book. Say what you will. She was strong tough lady. She loved her country. She gave her life. No family is perfect. A grandmother she was and she held the family together. She was the glue that held a nation. Bless her heart. May she be in peace. God bless. The last two photos at the end made me tear up. It reminded me of my own late grandmother.
In a sense, she was queen of the whole world. Even outside Britain and the Commonwealth realms, she was known to many as simply "the queen," and if you said that, people knew immediately which queen you were talking about. I don't know if Charles will be known as "the king" to as many people, but it just goes to show you how widely admired the British royals are compared to all the other surviving royal and imperial families in the world.
Just remember that most of her recent ancestry is that of both Germany (specifically the Hanover and Saxe-Coburg & Gotha dynasties) as well as Danish (Christian IX of Denmark). Through the Hanovers you have the Stuart, Tudor, Lancaster, York, and Plantagenet ancestries, while through her mother (the Bowes-Lyon Family) you have the ancestry of Robert the Bruce, King of the Scots. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, because of Philip's Danish (also from Christian IX of Denmark) and Russian ancestry (from a granddaughter of Tsar Nicholas I) that they now have the ancestries of several dynastic lines, whether either from the original line or from cadet branches.
Until her death I hadn’t understood how many German people really appreciated her leadership in forgiveness and reconciliation. Thanks you from a friendly Brit
The resolute selflessness, the walking epitome of duty, the stoic and unwavering dedication to the people, the allegiance to a purpose of uniting a nation rather than dividing it, the backbone of our country, the unrelenting bravery in the face of adversity after adversity. You were the revered sovereign, woman and icon. May you truly rest in peace, your Majesty, the impact of your reign will endure for eternity.
As a Dutchman, it was an honor for my monarchs to stand opposite of the casket of Her Majesty and the Royal Family. I hope the bond between our two nations remains strong in the future 🇳🇱🇬🇧
For the period of mourning the people of UK were the best I've seen in my 42 years, the togetherness, the grief, the respect was unprecedented. And our armed forces on the day of the funeral and beforehand were just immense, so many young people making us all so, so proud. Something we easily forget in this crazy fast paced world we live. That your Majesty, it is your legacy - something very few can ever repeat. Thank you and may God rest your wonderful sole.
I agree. All we seem to see now is difference of opinion and conflict between ourselves, but for this one time, we were all together, feeling the same thing.
I am from Hong Kong - many of us queued for up to 6 hours just to sign on the book of condolences at the UK Counsulate office in Hong Kong. We will miss the Queen dearly.
I wish it was still the Governor's Office and not the "UK Consulate". Hong Kong will always be a British Overseas Territory to me, not a so-called "Special Administrative Region" of Communist-occupied Mainland China. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴
I am a Kenyan but on hearing the news of her majesty the Queen's passing I was at loss of words. I love this hymn. Listening to this song and watching to the events that took place on those days made me tear. It gives one the thought that the Queen had vowed to serve her country and and kept her word. This was so beautifully done. Many of us here in the states admired and respected the late Queen. She was the only Queen many of us knew. @@donsarde while Britain no longer claims the French throne (as a result of the 1808 Union that brought Ireland under full British control), HM was the Duke of Normandy; the Channel Islands still having Norman French as one of the official languages (and either the Seigneur or Dame of Sark swears the Loyalty Oath to the Duke in French), while Quebec, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island has a considerable Francophone population. The only thing that would prevent having a British monarch become King or Queen Regnant of France, even if a Personal Union, would be France's old Concordant of 1805 between Napoleon and the Holy See, which made the Gallican Church the State Church (with laws passed allowing recognition of the Lutheran Church, French Reformed/Huguenot Church, and Judaism as co-equal minority religions) and required the Monarch of France to be Catholic, which is prohibited under the Succession Acts passed by Parliament after the Glorious Revolution and still in force today.

Just watched this, beautiful music plus the images of our great Queen. One year on still brings me to tears. Has it gone by so quickly we still miss her.
The look of anguish and grief on Charles face at 4:15 was heart wrenching and sad. I’m not much of a fan of him or Camilla, but for that moment, I felt sympathy for him as a son who lost his mother. There is a human side to Charles and he showed that he has feelings and emotions like all of us.
He went through the loss of first his father, then his mother, in a little over a year. Having to put on a brave face publicly after the deaths of your parents has to be difficult.

I'm Brazilian, but I've always liked the British royal family. I remember the shock of the Queen Mother's death 20 years ago. The Queen Mother was almost 102 years old, but she was so strong, she was in good health, no one expected her to die soon. Now, his daughter Queen Elizabeth dies aged 96. Without a doubt she was the best of Great Britain, all her people and those of her ancestors. Humble, gracious, strong and wise. May she now rest with her beloved and her Lord.
Seems very surreal when realising Her Majesty is no longer with us. As many have said, she’s been the only monarch most of us have ever known. To now not have her, seems as if we’ve lost part of what makes our nation, our Commonwealth great. Her Majesty modernised the monarchy greatly. I’m not a particularly religious person, however the queen’s faith is inspiring. May God take care of the Queen. Long Live the King, and may our great Commonwealth continue to prosper.

Never in history has someone kept their vow to their country as faithfully as Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
I thought South Africans despised her and monarchy
As South Africans we despise the colonisation of our country by Great Britain. But we are a forgiving people. We appreciate her late Majesty's efforts and recognize the strides she made in uniting the Common Wealth, of which South Africa is a member state... May her soul rest in eternal peace. #GodSaveTheQueen
It wasn’t only a few months after the then Princess Elizabeth visited South Africa when the Anglophobic-Afrikaner Nationalist National Party was elected into government and installed Apartheid after 38-ish years of rising racial tensions and the overall reluctance of the Afrikaner people to join the World Wars
30 years after Mandela was elected, and well.
It’s not just a past incident to be taken lightly but a system they have installed that will benefit them to this day and the future at the expense of us. In a sense, she was queen of the whole world. Even outside Britain and the Commonwealth realms, she was known to many as simply "the queen," and if you said that, people knew immediately which queen you were talking about. As a Black American I admired her and her grandmother Queen Mary....She was my queen too.
Hello Christiane, how are you doing today?
Until her death I hadn’t understood how many German people really appreciated her leadership in forgiveness and reconciliation. Thanks you from a friendly Brit

I Vow to Thee, My Country is a poem by Sir Cecil Spring-Rice, which took its present form in early 1918. The setting was made in 1921 by Gustav Holst with a melody that he had borrowed from the "Jupiter movement" in his suite The Planets. Since then, I Vow to Thee, My Country has been both a patriotic British song and an anthem in the Anglican communion.

I look at the scenario we have today, I am very sorry I cannot see it in the same light " but " when you have such a fine example to follow , it is virtually impossible to follow..
God bless the queen, what a lovely family leader & Monarch we had the experience of witnessing in our life time. " God bless the Queen "
I still cannot believe she is gone. She was a stabilizing force in our world and takes with her the refinement and dignity that was not only hers, but also that generation ❤️ Our loss but Heaven’s gain. Truly.❤
Without a doubt she was the best of Great Britain, all her people and those of her ancestors. Humble, gracious, strong and wise. May she now rest with her beloved and her Lord.

A generation of which we will never see again.🌍
Seems very surreal when realising Her Majesty is no longer with us. As many have said, she’s been the only monarch most of us have ever known. To now not have her, seems as if we’ve lost part of what makes our nation, our Commonwealth great.
Her Majesty modernised the monarchy greatly. I’m not a particularly religious person, however the queen’s faith is inspiring.
May God take care of the Queen. Long Live the King, and may our great Commonwealth continue to prosper.
I live in America but am British. I cried for two weeks. I've never known anyone else but Queen Elizabeth as head of the RF. The coverage was superb and my husband and I were glued to the TV watching the coverage. It was so well planned and not a wrong step anywhere. The prescience pf George and Charolette was wonderful. So well behaved children what had to been a long day.
Le règne le plus long de l'histoire, merci pour ce partage .Une très très grande dame s'en est allé 💐💐🙏🙏🙏
So beautiful and heart-touching! How we miss our Queen! Through my father's genealogy research, I discovered she was my 11th cousin! ❤ I'm very humbled and honored to be related to her and to almost every member of the family. The struggles, wars, alliances, good/bad times that they've gone through, just as we have are numerable. She led by example. We can all learn from her, no matter who we are! May the Lord bless each of you that are resding this! ❤
I am German and I loved Her Majesty The Queen so much! May Her Majesty rest in God‘s eternal piece - she will never be forgotten! 😢🙏🏻❤
Well she was German
@@barryjatkinson Partially in her ancestry.
Royalty is just wrong though isn't it? How can you justify it continuing?
@@barryjatkinson It's not wrong when their role is purely symbolic like it is in Britain. If we were talking about an absolute monarch, then that is wrong, but constitutional monarchies are entirely democratic except for the head of state.
@@hotwax9376 QE was not as removed from running the country as you might think. She approved/vetoed many bills before they even ended up in parliament… not symbolic at all but actively dipping into the running of the country.
I am Indonesian, and I adore her somuch and she'll be missed. The greatest woman God had anointed.
Watching this film, tears are running down.
My BRITISH husband and I, half GERMAN, HALF BRITISH, miss her badly.
We always thought, she would never ever die . But when it happened, we cried together. Something was taken from our heart.RIP Your Majesty, you will always be in our heart. ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤♥️♥️
What an emotional tribute to The Queen. I Vow To Thee, My Country should defo be the national anthem of the United Kingdom.
Oh my God.. the first time I have cried.. My favourite hymn from school all those years ago.. lived in Canada since 1988. I am 61 now
You find yourself revisiting this, phenomenal, such brilliance in everything, and so very much loved ❤🏴🇬🇧❤
My dad passed the same year as the Queen in Christmas Eve 2022. This tune reminds me of him. I miss him so much 😢😢😢 take care of him Elizabeth xx
I still cry for her. I like King Charles and will support him, but we lost the most respected woman in the World my entire life. Requiescat In Pace Ultima!! 💔
That last pic of her smiling got me. Enjoy your rest Your Majesty. You earned it. God save the King.
As a Filipino, the late Queen was an inspiration of public duty. She has touched so many lives and I am forever grateful to have been born during her magnificent reign.
A very beautiful tribute to our Queen,RIP
Still shocked that she is gone. Grew up in Scotland and moved to Canada in my Teens. She was a Great Lady and will never be forgotten.
The greatest Monarch the world has seen. Say no more!
This hymn epitomises her as much as Churchill. She did her duty as was expected of her. Long live the king.
An amazing tribute to a beautiful Queen. Rest in peace
I am 80 years old veteran
Australia children lined the roads when our queen then a princess came to Australia on a comenweth visit the year 1953 here father passed away our king
In later years I went in to the First kings Reg
Now the Queens son and kings Grand son is our King.that makes me a proud man
God bless our Royal Family 🏴
That salute that William makes...❤
Yep. 💔🇬🇧
Those police officers on motor bikes outside the gates all sitting there with their heads bowed ……….. what a wonderful show of respect!
This darn song (and especially this particular version of it) always gets me to tear up...
Me too Dave.......and even here in Australia. It never fails.

It is the same version played at Churchill's funeral......and when the cranes were lowered, as the barge went down the Thames,........ Les Griffiths
This is the one piece of music that reminds me I’m English and that I’m damn proud to be. 🏴🇬🇧
@@TwyscapeAs an Australian I'm not English......but I am British.....and that's close enough.

@@lesgriffiths8523 in fact, when the colors were lowered when the gun carriage went past them, the first thing I thought of was the RUclips video of Churchill's funeral when the cranes were lowered when his coffin went past.
Her Majesty was more than a Monarch, she was an Icon and a symbol of all that was great about humanity. She symbolized what it meant to have honor, duty and devotion. She will be missed.
Magnificent tribute to an extraordinary woman. There will never be anyone like her again. RIP
Thank you so much for posting this most beautiful and poignant video! The music and the filming is wonderful. I miss the queen.
A bit of England has died along with her. Shes in our prayers, memory & love.

The Queens State funeral was the most incredible event I've ever seen. The precision of all the military forces was outstanding. When the sailors did that shuffle ...I can't describe it...I cry every time I look at the funeral. A lasting memory.
Was saddened to see this fitting hymn not used in ceremony, thank you sir for this fantastic tribute to her majesty
I think may be Diana used it at her funeral arrangements as she liked this song
@@davelawrence8627 yes Diana did!
Yes they tend not to reuse song arrangements that have been played previously at other royal events I’ve noticed ,the pipers generally use different tunes that the royals liked and not what
Necessarily we want to here all the time ha !
@@davelawrence8627 Yes, I thought the same thing, that possibly it wasn't used in Queen Elizabeth's funeral as it was part of Diana's.
Let alone the Last Post that was played at Westminster Abbey not being the same as that played by the RM Buglers at Prince Philip's funeral.
A beautiful snap shot of the last few weeks. The Queen was so dignified, so inspiring, so selfless. Thank you for being the head of the Commonwealth. God Save the Queen.
Hello Joanne how are you doing 😊
It’s been months since she’s passed. I have to watch these videos. It brings me a sense of peace. The World is not the same now that she’s gone.
Always in our hearts Your Majesty
Every time I watch this video it gets me. Every damned time. Thank you!!
A most elegant and fitting tribute to an end of an era. God blessed us all.
Wonderful!! In just a little over 5 minutes you captured the essence of the entire event!
