    I think it is a safety feature. The blade falls off when what you are spinning is not defrosted enough. Happens mostly when the liquid separates as it freezes- leaving the ice layer at the bottom of the container. We’ve used our creami every day for a year. Waiting at least 10mins before spinning has been best. Fantastic machines! 😋

    Hello our price Amazon Canada ranges from $226 to $329 for the Creami, delivery May 17-23. the deluxe model $600 delivery June 9-19. Definitely not a $50 difference.

    I wish the machine would just do two spins automatically.
    The big issue with the creami is vibration/shaking causing the blade to hit the side of the container and shaving off thin plastic pieces. There really really should have been a recall, it's not safe.

    • @Modernist_Pantry
      @Modernist_Pantry  Год назад +1

      yeah i had to send my original one back for that. I give the replacement a firm grounding grip when it's running and it hasn't happened since. Definitely the kind of bad design you'd expect from a first draft.

    The same thing happened with our original. Unfortunately the machine continued to spin, melted the connection point on the blade, smoking and sending black flecks into the ice cream. Ninja has been good about replacing it(was under warranty) hoping it doesn't happen again, because we LOVE our creami

    • @Modernist_Pantry

    Thinking about buying one of these. Sam's has the 305 on sale for $120, and it comes with 3 extra canisters. Amazon has the Deluxe for $230. Only 2 canisters but it would work out to the same volume as the "original". So, for $110 more I can make all of the drinks that I would love to do...but dang...at nearly double the price!
    I would prefer the Deluxe - duh - but I think you've convinced me that the $120 model is probably a better deal.
