B898EUM - 1985 Bedford TM 4400 TechMaster 14.0 Litre 6-Cyl Cummins Turbo Diesel Truck
Drove one in the 80s for 2 hours on a road test and loved it
Still looks like it means business. What a great Truck 👍👌
Had one of these for two weeks back in 85. 290 cummins, fuller roadranger. It was a beast. Boss had it on rental/demo. Was a truck that could've made a difference to uk haulage. Timing, cost, availability. I don't know why it didn't make headway. I wasn't happy when it was returned but.....
I was blessed with a scania 142.🤔🤔🤔with all the toys.
Bedford was still a lovely truck and I would've been happy to keep it. Felt right, like it was just right. One of the BEST
Had one with the V8 Detroit , fantastic machine
Never drove one of these, but was told they had a reputation for being over thirsty. Still looks good, mind.
Drove one of these in the early 80s on hire from ryders truck rental bright yellow had the detritus engine short stick 4 over 4 box fully loaded tilt no problem beast
Beautiful good machine ❤
Drove a TM with a Detroit V8 from England to Italy back in the 80's, and hated it.
The bloody thing fired up backwards when I came off the ferry in Dover*
That was certainly a great catch, I often saw a bitumen tanker come into the yard where I worked and this was the tractor unit, now only if we could have also seen the Bedgord on the left of this TM Bedforc, have a great 2025, bext regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
Put a 14 litre Cummins in most things in its day was brilliant
Been nice to see inside the cab
awesome truck 👍👍🚚🚚
Great video Dave
They were bloody excellent trucks much better engineerd than your Usaual British truck of the period they drove better and were more refined can't understand why they weren't a roaring success
What hp cumins
400 Cummins & single drive would equate to low level flying
