For young Sheldon Cooper, it isn't easy growing up in East Texas. Being a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science isn't always helpful in a land where church and football are king. And while the vulnerable, gifted and somewhat naive Sheldon deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him. His father, George, is struggling to find his way as a high school football coach and as father to a boy he doesn't understand. Sheldon's mother, Mary, fiercely protects and nurtures her son. For 12 years on "The Big Bang Theory," audiences came to know the iconic, eccentric and extraordinary Sheldon Cooper. In "Young Sheldon," audiences get a chance to meet him in childhood, as he embarks on his innocent, awkward and hopeful journey toward the man he will become. Jim Parsons, who plays the adult version of Sheldon on "The Big Bang Theory," narrates.

@@ulito4739 I never said that Mary did worse than her. I just said that Mary is a hypocrite for saying lying is a sin when she has lied 50,000 times
She even lied earlier this Season, first episode of it, so it wasn’t too long ago the last time she lied either. Not to mention, when she said she wanted Mandy to have the wedding Mandy wanted, when Mary really wanted control over the wedding herself and even baptized Mandy’s own daughter behind her back.
That doesn't make it not true though.
I think the Cooper kids learned underhandedness from Mary, and Mary might have learned it from Connie.
Possibly George too, but everyone else seems better at getting away with it than him.

Sheldon being able to clean that room so well was great especially considering how well he did Bernadette and Howard’s closet.
As for the self soothing debate, i think it varies between parents and the child. Its like the alcohol for teething, me I don’t see the harm but others are an absolute no.

I wasn't keen on Connie starting a gambling room either and knew something would EVENTUALLY go downhill about it that would involve the cops eventually.
I didn't like the doll either so I couldn't blame Sheldon with calling it "Nightmare" Chucky and Annabelle taught me enough about Creepy dolls too, So I'm with ya on that one.
I also hate Mandy's mom, too. I don't agree with leaving a baby alone crying him or herself to sleep, that's really messed up.
Overall, I love your reaction and honestly can't wait for the next one.

Ive never got to follow a show while its being released weekly.. Young Sheldon was my first show. Man this show was really something special. The Final episode really made me wish it would never end

I’m glad that Mandy and Georgie are trying to break that cycle though. Not every unhealthy cycle can be broken every day. It’s definitely important, but it isn’t always easy
