For young Sheldon Cooper, it isn't easy growing up in East Texas. Being a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science isn't always helpful in a land where church and football are king. And while the vulnerable, gifted and somewhat naive Sheldon deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him. His father, George, is struggling to find his way as a high school football coach and as father to a boy he doesn't understand. Sheldon's mother, Mary, fiercely protects and nurtures her son. For 12 years on "The Big Bang Theory," audiences came to know the iconic, eccentric and extraordinary Sheldon Cooper. In "Young Sheldon," audiences get a chance to meet him in childhood, as he embarks on his innocent, awkward and hopeful journey toward the man he will become. Jim Parsons, who plays the adult version of Sheldon on "The Big Bang Theory," narrates.

The actress that played Amy Farrah Fowler also played Blossom when she was a child.
27:54 Yeah, I agree. A theory or guess I have is that when George died, it was so painfull for Sheldon that he started telling himself that George wasn't a really good father. And Sheldon started to see only the negative in George in order to cope with his death.
Then, in Season 12 when he watched the tape that his father interrupted his recording with his game. That’s when he realised he was a great father to him.
16:30 the fact that blossom is played by the same actress as Amy's still gets me 🤣
I used to have the biggest crush on Joey.
In Mayim Bialik's recent series, "Call Me Kat," there was an episode where the cast of "Blossom" stopped in at the Cafe owned by her character, Kat. She gushed over them, and asked whatever happened to the actress who played Blossom. They said that they heard she's hosting a game show now (and then she smiled at the camera).
Mayim Bialik's former TV dad on Blossom, Ted Wass directed episodes of The Big Bang Theory.
Funny thing about Sheldon not knowing the TV show Blossom, is that Mayim Bialik/ Amy Farrah Fowler played Blossom.
Funny thing is that nurse will move from Texas to California and meet sheldon and lenord during the big bang theory pilot episode 😊😊😊
The great Vernee Watson! She also helped Howard with his.....
robot arm difficulties. 😊
The show Blossom was a show back in the late 80's early 90's and was super popular. The funny thing about that is that the girl who played Blossom is the same girl who grew up and became Amy Farrah Fowler on the Big Bang Theory
Oh really
That's true!
Blossom premiered on NBC as a mid season replacement during the 1990-91 season. It replaced the short lived Ferris Bueller sitcom which was a spinoff of Farris Bueller's Day Off(1986).
16:29 you missed the meta joke here.
Blossom was played by Mayim Bialik, aka Amy!
1:30 get out!
3:45 too much information
5:40 we all know how that turned out!
7:00 even better!
7:34 Bazinga was born!
8:56 first of many Bazinga
10:00 Classic!
11:15 Creepy!
12:30 Good one Georgie
16:25 Maylim Bialik Blossom!
17:15 Dam! Georgie!
20:23 Sheldon and Georgie are deadmeat!
20:35 Here's comes the punches to the faces
21:09 Alf!
23:41 the crap!
24:42 That's bad!
28:20 Sheldon bad Reception!
31:45 Nice job Sheldon
32:36 Cool!
I wonder if the surgery episode explains why Sheldon was freaking out when Leonard was going to get his nose surgery
i think if they had gone with Ricky (Ricki?) dying from surgery i think that would have added a lot more weight and emotion to the TBBT surgery plot - but i think that would be a little too "real" and depressing
Nurse: Looks like you bit your cheek.
Sheldon: How do you know it’s not scurvy.
Me: 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"........because you're not a pirate in the 18th century!"
Bravo, Nurse Nora.
7:33, And yet, THAT became Sheldon's Catchphrase.
10:00, BAZINGA!
The bit when missy Veronica punch Georgie and Sheldon is hilarious especially meemaws reaction to Georgie getting punched
29:30 Fun Fact that Nurse is the same nurse we see in many episodes in TBBT even the very first episode
You notice that Nurse Robinson is the same one from Big Bang Theory every time they go to the ER
This needs to come more often
great reaction! I love the second and third one too. I have something called Cystic Fibrosis (it's a genetic disease that affects my lungs and stomach), so I have to go to the hospital all the time, I've had a few surgery's, but I don't think its as many as yours!
Can't wait for more and Spirited Away.
Love your channel congratulations on 60K
That’s the actor that plays the nurse in big bang theory. She’s hilarious.
I love that they referenced Mayim Bialik AKA Amy Farrah Fowler, in this episode is epic.
Georgie missed an opportunity in the baptism episode. He should've tried to convince Veronica to sin with him BEFORE they got baptized. That way her conscience could be clean afterwards. LOL!
26:31 this is exactly why i completely understood sheldon’s concern when leonard had to get that nasal surgery. Especially because I have that exact problem and unless it’s posing actual life-threatening breathing problems, I feel like surgery is genuinely optional in that case. It is a little bit of a risk to go in for something like that, which is why I feel like Sheldon was doing everything in his power to get him out of it.
Blossom was referenced, starring young Mayim Bialik aka Amy. Internal reference.
I've been enjoying your reactions to Young Sheldon, so thank you for them. As I've never watched The Big Bang Theory I should really get around to watching that now. It will also give me an excuse to see your reaction to that as well!
I am also someone who worries about being put to sleep when going through a surgery, I have had a few seizures in my life, as well as almost dying at first, so when I had to get my wisdom teeth taken out, I was freaking out about being put under, because I was afraid I wouldn’t wake up, I had a lot of people telling me it would be okay and not to worry, but it was still a fear that I’ve heard for so long, it’s also why I have to have a light on when I go to bed at night, which is also related to what happened to me at birth end for me it’s about feeling safe, it’s a mix of fear of dying with a fear of not being able to see, since I almost died at birth and was left with a vision impairment and physical disability. So I can totally relate to this feeling of being afraid to go under, I had to be put to sleep again after my wisdom teeth when I got my wrist really broken up after I got hit by a car, that was a much worse surgery as it was really hard for them to reset. My wrist and I was just as scared then too.
16:3p its a reference to the show Amy star when she was a kid
You know, Sheldon's time in the hospital is actually somewhat similar to a hospital trip I had before. Some time after I turned 13 years old, I started experiencing severe stomach pain and awful diarrhea (sorry if that grosses you out). I was being taken care of by my parents for some time, until they noticed it was really starting to become an issue and took me to the emergency room. I was there for several days, but, unlike Sheldon I wasn't the worst patient in the world. I was actually tolerable for the workers. Still, it was absolutely awful at first, since I literally couldn't eat anything for almost the entire day! So yeah, I've been in Sheldon's shoes before, just somewhat different.
Continuity fun : the nurse who tears Sheldon a new one is played by Vernee Watson, who was also on five episodes of Big Bang......usually as a nurse who fights with Sheldon!
Sorry about the twelve surgeries. Not fun.
I'm happy to let you know that I've recovered from my cold and I'm now back to my fun-loving self also I'm able to laugh with you again Cody whenever there's a funny scene during your reactions 😁👍🏻🤣💕. Also yay at 21:06 both me and Missy's favorite is pink 😄👏🏻🌸
You're not dumb, Cody! You knew what was coming in Big Bang Theory, SpongeBob, Icarly, and most of the movies you reacted to long before it even happened! You're as smart as Klaus Baudelaire from the Series of Unfortunate Events!👍😊
You know things that make you smart!!😁
I’ve only had one surgery and it was on my left eye because one of my neighbours original dogs bit and nearly tore it out. I was operated on that night and I was only 11 or 12. It wasn’t all bad though, my mom got me Toy Story 1 and 2 and Up on dvd.
My favorite Alien Life Form(aka ALF), known as Gordon Shumway on his homeworld Melmac.
Back then McDonald's had fried Apple Pies as opposed to the baked ones the y have now. The fried apple pies were so much better
The first time I drove a car was in the mid 70's in my friends father's Volkswagen and it was a stick shift, which was common at that time for cars to have that. We did it in a parking lot and I just could not get the hang of it. Later on I grasped the concept and always prefered to have one. You can just push it to start and shift into gear on a little hill and get going where as when your automatic one has a bad battery you need a jump start by another car or one of those portable devices. The only real issue with that type of vehicle is being stopped at a red light on a hill. I tried that in San Francisco once and it was a nightmare
yess finaly another awesome and fun young sheldon reaction from cody thank you cody😃🤙 see you in the next reaction video👀👀❤😊👍and cody happy monday and have a wonderfull and a great week💪😎☀️🤙love/greetings from the netherlands❤🇳🇱❤
21:22 Raj in TBBT got the same ufo lamp as Alf on the left side of his desk 😂
60+K Subscribers?
Way to go, man!
Fun fact.. early in the series of TBBT, they are thinking about getting a new friend. After rejecting Robert Downey Jr. Raj suggests "the actor who played Blossom" and cites that she is an actual scientist irl. It was at least a season before she appeared, so I wonder if she was in talks already to join. Ugh it's horrible having a special child that gets all the attention. The dynamics of my wife's family are deeply screwed up as her brother was born with Spina Bifida. Needless to say, the attention levels were highly skewed, even now at 50 (yes, he has truly beaten the odds to still be with us). George is definitely portrayed differently. The character described in TBBT was a total caricature, but then they had to show it in YS... it needed to be toned down. Based on where the show currently stands, they may have toned it down too much (no spoilers), but there are more eps to come once the strikes are over
lol scrap that, jsut watched it. S1Ep13 Raj suggests TV's Blossom as a 4th for the physics bowl quiz competition.
I've not been to church in years, but is it common to ask God to ignore someone else's prayers?
Lol makes me think of Mel Gibson. In the fantastic film, we were soldiers, he plays a colonel who prays with and for a soldier under his command who waits for his child to born and as he does so he ends it with "and lord, as for our enemy, please ignore their heathen prayers so we can blow those evil bastards straight to hell"
Did anyone else pick up on how Missy was acting during the Imagine this scene? When she was trying to do fractions? She was asking for each and every detail and missed the entire point of the exercise.
Much like Sheldon did in TBBT everytime leonard or Penny would tell him to pretend or imagine something.
I was thinking the exact same!!
21:10, Alf is back, rip

Now including Benji Gregory who played Brian Tanner. 1978 - 2024
I wanted to wait until you said it and you have. Yes, George is a great father. It wasn't until later season of the big bang theory when Sheldon started to understand and acknowledge his father. He did his best he screwed up sometimes but did his best and took care of his family.
21:09, Who'd you expect, Marvin the Martian?
IDK if they still use the same "knockout gas" that they used in the 80's but I can't have it. I had a bad reaction to it when I had my tonsillectomy. Since then, anytime they've needed to knock me out they've given me an injection instead of the gas
26:09 I've had 1 surgery in my life (2 if you count the wisdom teeth removal). I actually have no problem with being put to sleep for surgery, mainly because you don't dream during it. It's like, just a second after you're put to sleep, you're being told that it's over. The reason why surgery scares me is because of the agonizing pain afterwards. I was prescribed Oxycodone after my surgery just in case, but I was too afraid of becoming addicted to take it. But, one night, I was in so much pain that I took one and it *didn't work* (to this day, I wonder if I was so afraid of being addicted that my mind made it not work on me).
I hope you don't mind me saying so, but I think it's amazing that you've been through 12 surgeries without getting addicted to painkillers. You're amazing, Cody. ❤
This episode is very good, great reaction Cody.
Them: talking about surgery
Cody: surgery scares me I've been through 12
Me: 😳 oh my god....
I had surgery when I was a little younger cause of acid reflux or something like that I forget so it made it difficult to obviously eat but I still have the surgery markings on me still to this day so
I've had i think 6 surgies total where I was put out but I honestly dont remember 4 of the because they were all before I was two and were on my eyes for congenital cataracts that kept growing back. Then i had tonsils out at 6 then had to have my bad eye removed finally because of glaucoma building up the eye pressure.
McDonald's pies were awesome back then! They were deep fried! Tasted Iike delicious lava! Lol
6:59, I'm sure Sheldon didn't mean to do that.
I guess he had a very weak Stomach as a Kid or something.
Wait ain't mary the cause of sheldon being the word *fragile*
Wow Cody I am so sorry to hear that you went through 12 surgeries
I think when you finish another show, you might like to watch Blossom.
12:00 Veronica is super cute change my mind ❤😅
26:24 whoa, I haven't had any except getting my wisdom teeth out, that's crazy
26:24 that’s the worst part about surgery. And that makes sense now with the situation with Leonard having to get… nasal surgery…? I don’t entirely remember. I get why Sheldon was so freaked out now. I had to get two surgeries done and it was the scariest shit I have ever been through, forget nearly drowning, keep those blades away from me! I remember the doctors talking about risks and I really wish they hadn’t, 20% chance it wouldn’t work, 10% chance it would kill me, and about a 25% it would permanently affect my vision (I had to have two separate operations on my brain- one of them was in the very back of my skull, so that’s where the threat to my vision came in) and even though the problem is ‘fixed’ I now have a speech impediment that I didn’t have before.
26:12 ive only been through one surgery so far and that was for my wisdom teeth. It was the day after Easter Sunday and i was in 9th grade (i was 15 and im 26 now), just got my braces off and the orthodontist said the wisdom teeth needed to come out right away or it would mess up my teeth. I was so nervous lol when they put the heart monitor on and noticed my elevated heart rate they asked if i was nervous. They put the IV in, and the mask over my nose. I look over to the side, the next second im looking forward, very drowsy and gause sticking out of my mouth. My mom said that as they were bringing me out of anesthesia i was sobbing. Apparently my reaction to coming out of anesthesia is im a cryer.
I can relate to the fact surgery is scary cause you never know what could happen when your under. I mean trust me I know I had 4 surgeries
I've had kidney/bladder issues since I was a child and had to have my left kidney removed when I was 7. Then I had an accident on a scooter and broke my tooth and it went in my lip and I had to have it surgically removed when I was 13. I have various health issues like Gout and Diabetes as well, but never had 12 surgeries, jeez.
12?! that's a lot. I was counting on 9
I'm 34 years old I just had my 15th surgery in December and it's still scares me every time
I'd find God for Isabel May also
She is so good in 1883.
24:22 he only a fragile boy because of your coddling
Yknow if Leslie was in young sheldon I bet she would call georgie dumbass #2 and sheldon #1
26:50 don't most surgeries these days use an IV to put you to sleep? That's what they did with me. I thought gassing to sleep was obsolete
I have had 19 surgeries so far. For me the scary part is getting the iv. Hate needles.
Someone that would have had 19 surgeries would have had to have massive amounts of blood work. Even going through chemo w/o a surgery you need tons of blood work. Weird that you talked Iv's instead of the much bigger needles used to draw blood.
@@Onthebrink5 as a child I had more thing go wrong with iv, like infection and my hand always swells up. But drawing blood is a mental struggle as well. But Iv is worst.
@@karindwarswaard Someone that hates needles doesnt rationalize the better ones. You hate IV's not needles.
@@Onthebrink5 you need a needle to get an iv in. After the iv is in, I'm good. But it is fine if you don't believe me.
@@karindwarswaard That is fair. it was just a little confusing. I have to get things called phlebotomies every week. It is a GIANT needle. I have never had any problems with needles probably because I have never had any problems like infection like you have had. I still do not believe that it is a needle problem and is more of a people problem. They messed up and you paid the price.
0:54, I'm not gonna ask
Dang. Bad day for the Copper boys.
only 12 sugeries? rookie numbers i had atleast 25 before 18 but i also drove my face into a tree at 100mph at 17 broke my neck back and pelvis and the cherry on top was the stroke the next day. thankfully i was already comatose for most of them then there was the two a month from november 07 to febuary 08 bone flap went in 2 weeks later my body rejected it so it came out for 2 weeks then went back in for 2 and the right side of my face was reconstructed in sugery moral of my experiences dont drive while tired but fun fact they tried to "pull the plug on me but i started breathing on my own. since then ive added doctors to my list of who not to trust but damn sheldon has to stay 3-4 days for a gallbladder removal? hell the only reason i had to stay over night is because i live alone so there was no one to check in on me after my gallbladder removal i woke up took a pee and walked my crippled ass down to the cafe to get milk to sooth my throat from the irritation of having tubes down there
I bet Cody won’t pin this
Missed ya
I think two and a half men was one of his best shows but it’s not reaction friendly
Technically they didn’t get baptised properly because the bible states you need to be on a clean Crystal stream or river so that it can purify you and Carry the sins down stream into the ocean or something along those lines
The dog again
"im good a math until letters get involved", well then you aren't good at math at all.
TMNT 1990
👍👍👍👍
Yeah I’ve actually went through surgery myself this year with my wisdom teeth, i was so scared and worried and i was really anxious about it, cause i have hadn’t done something like this before, so i was very nervous for it also, i had to get 4 of my wisdom teeth removed so that was fun, i was so scared of going under because I was afraid that i wouldn’t wake up again from it. But i survived it though, i still remember waking at at 5am in the morning like very Earlier and traveling to the hospital that day.
Have a priest bless you before surgery to ease you. Sorry , I know how to feel.
No offense but I’d never let a priest near me again sorrh
I believe I had 15 brains or degrees. My opinion aren't just wanna get it over with. And move on.
You have never watched alf
No?
