    Thank you for bringing this issue to everyone's attention! And, we're glad you chose the Banks Monster-Ram as your solution. Can't wait to see the next video. Keep 'em coming.

    It looks like you have done the EGR/DPF/DEF delete on your truck. I have a 2021 as well. What setup did you go with? And what kind of differences did you notice? Thanks!

      Whatever gives you that idea 😁
      The set up is a 5” downpipe back stainless exhaust system with a muffler. Ez Lynk auto agent tuner with 5 position SOTF. Of course all the Banks goodies too.
      The truck was fun before the updates and now, LOVE IT! I spent a lot of time looking for a good company to get the tuner from. Highly recommend the Diesel Dudes based in Canada 👌

    Pd diesel has fleet of trucks and does not have these problems. How do you know you will not have same issues with banks?

      This failure point is eliminated completely with the Banks Monster Ram replacement. This failure tends to occurs around the 100k mile marker for the stock system. However, I think that this failure is more common when the grid heater is actually being used and the bolt sees a lot more use. Heating and cooling with the harsher climates.

    • @repairvehicle
      @repairvehicle Год назад +2

      @@thejourniganadventures7391 , you have heating elements that will break off on banks and drop into and destroy your engine. With bolt you can wiggle and see if it loose and with banks you are screwed

    • @thejourniganadventures7391
      @thejourniganadventures7391  Год назад

      @@repairvehicle the heating element on Banks is configured completely different. The bolt is what fails on the stock set up. The heating element is designed to withstand extreme heat and clearly the grid heater bolt was not designed to withstand the constant stress of extreme heat over a long lifespan.

      @@thejourniganadventures7391 5 years warranty on banks, clearly designed for short time. But you keep convincing yourself that you made right decisions, he needs more people like you to make money of them. If it was better designed than factory then it would better warranty than factory. Bolt is a lot thicker than heating element, I wonder how many heating cycles it can handle being thinner before dropping down inside the engine. Thicker material handles heat cycles better than thinner, physics 101.

    • @thejourniganadventures7391
      @thejourniganadventures7391  Год назад +1

      @@repairvehicle actually having the heating element in my hand and inspecting it before install it appears to be made well. If you feel some type of way about the Banks equipment I would suggest taking it up with them or get ahold of a heating element and run a stress test perhaps? The factory warranty is the same exact thing for the stock setup if you choose the 5 year/100,000 mile extended warranty. So not sure what you are trying to imply there. Not everything has a lifetime warranty lol
      Regardless, I personally have piece of mind and love my purchase. No need to convince myself of anything, I am a happy customer. Giving my honest feedback based on my own research and inspection of the parts I purchased. Nothing is failure proof, that’s just the truth in everything in the world today. You say the bolt and stud are thicker than the heating element but you are entering into an entirely different realm when it comes to metal compounds and material resistance to extreme conditions. Just because something is thicker does not mean it is stronger. You could take a 1” copper rod and a 1/2” piece of rebar and see which one shows signs of failure first in destructive testing.
      I appreciate your comments though! Thank you! Love the interaction and the conversation.

      I get 21-22mpg at 75mph on my 2018 ram 3500 cummins, completely stock truck with air down tires for smooth sailing like Cadillac. Off course truck with regen more, drop in air pressure. Why do think banks never posted hp gains on his website, because it’s opposite.

    Hi there, I just got emailed by someone who told me you were giving my plans away me chicken coop for free. They sent me a link to the video where you build the coop and I do see that you have a link to a google doc where you have my plans posted for free. The plans are copywrite and not to be distributed for free or to resell. I put a lot of time and money in developing those and they are big part of my livelihood. Please remove the link to the free plans. Thank you.

      Oh gosh! I am sorry! They are not supposed to be in that folder. I was dropping in the items that I created and have a separate private folder for plans I have purchased. I even went and ensured that I added the link to your video for people to get your plans. I will have this removed immediately. My apologies for my mistake.

      @@ThirdCoastCraftsman it is no problem! I made sure to list where anyone that watches my video can go and get your plans. I even had someone comment on my video saying it was click baity because of the free plans. Which I do have for the items I built myself. I even told them that these are not mine and I can not list them for free. I am not one to take someone’s idea and slap my name on it. I ensure to give credit where credit is due.
      I am glad you brought this to my attention. I should have checked it myself but after I dropped in my items I didn’t look back into that folder again. I have a separate private drive with plans I have purchased that is solely for myself. Thanks for the well wishes on the channel! Slowly growing and trying my hand at this RUclips channel business. It is certainly a lot of fun but there is much to learn.

      I went with the EZ Lynk auto agent 3 tuner from The Diesel Dudes. Highly recommend them. They were quick with answering all my questions and providing support for the software. The delete kits (EGR and exhaust) I bought from DPF delete shop. I went with the 5” stainless steel exhaust kit with the muffler and I polished the exhaust tip myself.
      Truck runs great and it made a huge difference on the performance. I love it.
