- Welcome! This time around we're taking a look at the empowered blade of dark justice. It takes me back, making a video about a sword. One of the early Painting With A Pro tutorials was on the famed power sword, this time I'm offering a second approach to creating these much sought after weapons.
Take time to make time to paint this weekend!

I just discover this video 2 years later but it help a lot...
After seeing most of tutos for this kind of result, yours is just the best and I can finally end my Stormcast weapons.
Thanks a lot Sir !
Learn something new every time I come to your channel. Thank you for taking the time to teach. 🤘🏽
First time i see power sword painted this way, not that i'm in that hobby for long, but it's excellent and quite the most realistic way to portrait the power weapon from the books.
Thank you, Plol! Glad you like it :)
Sam, 5 seconds in and this is gold. You the best
Aw thanks man! Glad to hear that :)
Sword safety tip...pointy end towards the opponent. 😉 great channel and demonstrations! I love seeing the wet pallet paint and brush technique in top right corner as well!
so sick man, such a great teacher, been watching your work for sometime, i started painting 40k because of you, ty man.
That tiny hook on the synthetic brush gave me anxiety. And the final product gave me feelings of inadequacy. I absolutely love this channel.
Powerful!
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
I've obtained a lot of knowledge from you Sam. Thank you.
Thank you, glad to hear that!
Thanks Sam
You're welcome, Chuck!
Awesome!
You had me with the grin.
😎😎😎
Sam, time to start selling "Not too Shabby" merch...
Throw some "Decent" merch in there while you're at it!
Haha, I'll have to make a word cloud shirt or mug 😂
I'm gonna try this on my Silver Skulls Bladeguard. Except I use purple for all my power weapons - is a nice contrast to the gunmetal armor color.
Sounds like a plan! Any color is good, really. Should look cool!
This paint job just got 1000% more Metal
as someone who doesn't actually play these games or know what a "Power Sword" is it's fun hear what the various bits are...
Sam! Saw your inst updates and i thought that you really should visit Althai region! Im certain that it will blow your mind!
I just looked up the word and saw the Althai mountains, beautiful!
@@SamLenzArtwork SAM!!!! Im very pleased to hear such things from you! Though i have a question: have you tested "ammo by Mig" paints? Specifically figure colors. They are PERFECT for wet blending and glazing! I hope you can try em out asap!
Strongest intro maybe ever
You are 100% correct on "less is more": most of my power swords had been like crystals (lightsabers?) with lightening in them. The arcing metal sword looks so much better to me. Making use of the shiny nature of the metallic paint as a base: it pops well. It fits nicely with what I was already doing, just MUCH less. It is a bit more pleasant to the eye by not being so "busy".
Thanks, Brad! Glad you found some good info in this video :)
Alloy speed wizard!
Awwwyeah B)
what for a wet palet do you use sam?
Im.us8ng a Masterson's pallet. The black sponge comes from a foam carrying case. Soon there will be a pallet released from game envy called the excelsior. I'd recommend that pallet as it has a lot of cool features.
Interestingly the sword you held up at the begining of this video had highlights all the way across the blade yet we only highlight opposite sides of a blade. Weird 😂
Where'd you get those synthetic brushes?
I only wish I could paint a power sword in 15ish minutes 😂 amazing job Sam !!
Haha, years of practice. Thanks man!
Anytime dude, have a great weekend
Ah yes, the crevices of power..
damn demonitized an hour in?
