So sparkling! This effect is amazing and actually looks like it requires less blending than a normal power axe. Obviously you do need master craftsman brush control :D

That is a cracking axe! Love how Dante came out. Might even like it better than the NMM scheme that 'Eavy Metal did.
The Axe tutorial is a handy one. I never quite grasped how to best place highlights on an axe blade. Having it shown step by step like this really helps put it all together.

As someone newish to the hobby actually showing a rougher sketching phase, with the glazing and touch ups included, actually made this style of power weapon painting seem approachable. I'm excited to actually try it now. Thanks for the videos!

I love Sotek Green. It mixes really well with black and white. You can almost get away without the othe blues!
Exactly! You most definitely can do it just with three paints but I always try to simplify the steps and mixing only causes more doubts on people. Giving them definitive and very precise steps makes for a more repeatable tutorial

The close up shots you provide are so incredibly helpful and showing the paint consistency on your thumb vs others who show on a pallet which isn’t as helpful! Uhhh Temple Guard BLUE?? Blue? SMH

I'm trying to do something similar for my chaos terminators. Would you suggest doing the same order but with red/orange colors? Or would you use a different base color?
Exactly the same but with the red - orange progression

Hi Juan, always appreciate the content! One general comment, when you mention thinning your paints in your videos, can you clarify what medium you are doing so with? Between water, contrast medium, lahmian medium etc, there are lots of options these days and it would make attempting the same techniques a little more clear. Thanks for another awesome tutorial!
It's very easy for my videos and it applies to all of them
If I don't specify it's water
If I use something else it's always clearly noted

It was amazing. Did you have any art training? I tried to follow what you did exactly, but therr was no way I could paint such small lines even with my smallest brush. I couldn't even do the fades you had on the blade. I dry brushed it with three different blues I'm going darker to light towards the edge. It's all I could do. I've only been painting for 3 months and these videos kill my confidence. They're great though
I've been painting miniatures for over 20 years, I make it look very easy but these are advanced techniques.
You will get there, trust me.
