I have an HP EliteDesk 705 G3 PC with an AMD A8-9600 processor and it has an AM4 socket on the motherboard. Can I upgrade it with an AMD Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5, or Ryzen 7 processor because Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5, and Ryzen 7 processor also supports the AM4 socket?

I have an old HP laptop called HP EliteBook 8470p core i5.
Can I install the Wi-Fi card from my HP 8470p Core i5 laptop on the HP EliteDesk 705 G4 SFF?

Most likely not. The wifi cards often are keyed differently than the m.2 ports on the motherboard. I would recommend an inexpensive usb wifi adapter.

I am also using HP ED 705 g4. You may use the m.2 2230 for wlan but you will find yourself looking where to place the antenna. 😅 That's why I use PCI x1 for my WiFi 😅

I personally wouldn't want to recommend something I haven't tested. What you can try, is making sure the chipset is compatible with the CPU you want to use. What I don't know is if HP locks the BIOS to only work with certain CPUs to prevent this kind of thing. In the hopes that you would pay HP more money for a different skew instead.

The ryzen cpu is socketable so it should be good to transplant into other motherboards.

Saddly no. I think it's locked in bios to not have any upgrade cpu path

Maybe. You would need a 12v psu as the conversion happens on the motherboard.
