    Nice vlog, i am just rebuilding my Nuovo Falcone. I have done some modifications as well including an oil feed towards the camshaft housing and in the camshaft i have made drillings(EDM cutting) for extra lubrication of the cams. Also I replaced the alu bushing in the camshaft for a oilseal wich keeps it in place with a steelring. Keep on goiing, cheers from NL.

      I haven't thoroughly tested my Falcone oil feed mods but so far what I have done is proving to be an improvement over the standard system.

    Have confidence in your recommendations. I ride a BMW K1300GT (160hp et al) as my main do it all bike, and following your recommendation have bought a 750 Breva as a spare/alternate bike. I love it - so much character and a contrast to the bog BMW. I love the excitement wondering whether it will start or not (start switch on the handlebar needs some finesse to make it connect). Belting channel - you keep going.

      Thank you for your support, take a look at the clutch lever switch they can play up and a squirt of WD40 sometimes sorts it out.

      Breva 750's kill oil. The pan spacer adds .9L, nearly doubles the oil life.
      The V7II got 25% bigger fins that made the oil life about what pre 2011's were supposed to be.

    another fine video- great tip about the oil pressure improvement and your favorites bikes and I totally agree with the comments about our world now and how a shed (or hobby) is perhaps the best escape

    I had a customer with a V85tt that was pretty lean. Relocated air temp sensor from between cylinders, to by steering head. Is much improved. Cal-Vin's like this as well, no wires to solder either.

      That sound like a very simple solution, although I not experienced any untoward mixture problems.

    Hey Guy! I'm just back from the Isle of Wight with the fam! My NGK spark plugs started breaking down after coming off the A34 southbound which was far too static in 29 degrees of midday glory. Thankfully my brother-in-law is a mechanic, was travelling down the following day and said he'd pick up some new plugs en route. I still don't understand how they didn't have 'lids' on or (I just google searched the correct terminology) ... 'terminal nuts'.. but somehow we managed to salvage one from an on-site lawn mower and another from KSR Performance who's 21 year old lad will be blowing up a Kawasaki 400 at the next TT race! Huzzah!
    How was your weather? It looked like a Tale of Two Cities on the national weather overviews, the north from the south!
    Any thoughts on Iridium plugs?

      Compared to your trip mine was quite boring, I rode to Scotland got a bit wet going and had beautiful weather for the return. I try to use Iridium plugs whenever I can get a suitable match as they seem to last longer and are more reliable, this may be down to quality control as they are more expensive. Anyone who races the TT are a special kind of lunatic that I respect very highly.

      @@oldguyinshed1703 I love Scotland so much I named my daughter Skye! My old school pal used to run the Loch Duich Hotel so spent some good summers there over the years before he packed it in and moved to Hereford.
      Ah Quality Control, nuff said! I mean, to be fair I'm only 1k away from a service interval, but I'd like to treat my steed to the best things where possible! New plugs got me home fine; just the valves that sound a bit out of sorts now. 😊

      We were getting 15 minutes on a old DT2MX with ngk. Switched brand and haven't had to change a plug since.

    Just wondered if you've experience of the Saches Electronic ignition for one?
    I've a militare 1974 version.

    You don't want them quiet. Quiet means you're running the closer of the two valve clearances, which can lead to dropped valves aka the Beetle flat four engine. Volkswagen solved their dropped valve problems by running bigger tappet clearances. Think the guzzi problem is due to massive pushrods retaining heat after the rest of the engine has cooled down. The valve stops seating, gets cherry red and soft and the valve head then breaks off. 'Course if you don't work the engine hard you're unlikely to have problem.

      Just picking up a civilian model next month. Scarce on this side of the pond. I have 3 that I keep up for a customer as well.

      the thickness of the teflon washer was determined by measuring the distance from the quill to the case this can be achieved in a few different ways. I will get back to you when I can confirm from my pal who actually took the measurement. I believe it is different from one bike tio the next.

      Hi again. Measuring the washer thickness. Remove cover, over the quill place a thick solid spacer of a known size, place replace cover locating quill, measure gap between engine and cover, subtract gap measurement from spacer measurement to give washer thickness. Be generous with washer as a tight fit is preferable. Hope this makes sense.

      I sadly had to exchange it for the V85TT because I was struggling to maneuver it out of the garage. The replacement is much easier for me to live with.
