I'm glad you enjoyed the vid, a lot of the time I think I'm just waffling on and sending people to sleep.

I do enjoy looking back at some of the cars I have raced, some good some bad and some real dogs, but now they are all part of my life.Thank you for commenting.

Great to hear your memories ,you stirred my old career memories, karts 100 class was as you say competitive ,but unless you had lots of spares with you, your race could be over too soon when wheels get tangled, you needed the latest fastest engines too,it was Not a cheap sport . look forward to more stories it's great to look back on old times .I too raced bikes and cars Happy days

I have enjoyed everything I have competed in from Trials bikes to cars, none of it is cheap. I am not alone with having stories about racing we all have and some might even be accurate.

thanks for the History lesson, your a very talented person & far too modest. Here's to the 1000 subscribers, even though i now live in the States i used to live not far from Cadwell park in Lincs

Cadwell is an epic circuit, particularly Hall Bends. Thank you for your comments I do hope to get to the 1k subscribers as it feels like a bit of a miles stone.

Great fun you have had! I got scared in fast cars (V12 etype, Lancia fulvia) always stuck with bikes. Competed in trials for years, then fancied a go at circuit racing, so to get a taste I enrolled with Jeff Crookbain bike racing school at Brands. It was fun, but it showed me how `risk averse` I actually was, and I left it at that.

I rode in a quite a few trails and found I was completely useless at it, switched to circuit racing and never looked back,

This brings back great memories, in the mid 80s I’d often go to Oulton Park with my Dad on the weekends. Formula Fords mainly but I bet I saw that Escort. Now wondering if Demon Tweeks is still around. I left the country 20 years ago.I live in Oregon these days. Thanks for bringing these times back to me!

Demon Tweeks are still around but have moved to Wrexham and are mainly an online enterprise these days. I have raced bikes Karts and cars round Oulton Park and have always enjoyed the experience, Thank you for your comments.

Nice stories, I'd love to hear about the Guzzi 1100 Sport and the Ducati 600 track bikes. My Mum and Dad did their courting on a Norton Dominator 99 back in the steam age, and my grandad had a Velo LE in his dotage (I'm told)

I may do something about the 1100 sport and the Ducati. Your Mum and Dad had great taste the Dominator was a top bike.

Sorry to hear of the problem with your V85 TT centre stand. The same component on my 1979 Spada 1000 still works perfectly, Progress ??? Enjoyed your stories of four and two wheel sport, biking is the thing we all share, keep sending your thoughts 👍

I'm sure the centre stand issue is not unique to me and will be sorted soon. The reason for the look back was because people were asking about the pictures, it is very odd to try and condense so many years into so few minutes.

I think many (most?) of us started w/ cars at one level or another. Id love to know how you found Moto Guzzi? Odd lot if you think about it.

I was loaned a Guzzi in the late seventies for about 2 months, I loved it but could not afford one. Fast forward to the 2000s and they are a) more prolific b) more affordable c) all my kids have grown up.

Exactly where I sit today! Of course, I'm fascinated with that delicious Gutzsi sound and just need to know if I'm appropriate for the bike.@@oldguyinshed1703
