I orders my blinds and while we were waiting for them I got prices for install on hanging them ($100 per blind) so while we were waiting on our blinds for delivery i decided to look on you tube and ran across your site on how to install the blinds I had ordered. I found your video simple and easy to understand and the install process seems easy enough for me due to your easy to follow instructions. Nice job. Thank you.
I'll just add a tip that you can use or not. My husband always uses the frog tape to tape a Dixie cup where he drills & it catches any sawdust mess. He's been doing it for years (we've been married over 42 years). Our home had the minimum 4-shelf closets everywhere. He added many shelves for me & I now have over 7 shelves in my main hall closet. He pulled the original four, filled the holes & drilled for the 7 where I wanted them. He got a Dixie cup half full of sawdust from all of the drilling.

I have 93 inches of window that I need blinds for. It’s 3 panes all next to each other - the outer lanes are 23.5-in each and the center pane is 46-in. So I’m going to have 3 sets of blinds all next to each other. My question is should I make each of those 1/8-in shorter than the pane they’re covering and space them 1/16-in apart from the window frame & the other set of blinds? I hope that makes sense. Thank you!

You said nothing about determining how far forward or backward to put the blind in the window opening. Many people have windows in walls with 2x6 studs making the positioning of the blind variable. You said you wanted yours to the front, but you have a very shallow window frame.

I disagree with you; hanging blinds is stressful lol. First, I had myself all turned around on how exactly how to turn the brackets the right way. I had to give your video a second look. Then, I didn't know where to place them in the window. I didn't know whether to go all the way back in the window frame when penciling in with the shade or bring it forward a little. The directions said to remove the tension pin, and I had no idea what that was and had trouble finding any information online about it.

Ive don't it with furniture.. I made screw holes just by pushing really hard and I'm screwing in the screw.. it worked, but I'm wondering if it'll work on the wall? Or is the wall much more harder thn furniture wood?

Thanks thanks thanks. I was looking how to take out our blinds. So I searched for a video that showed how to fit them. I came up with this and it was spot on to help me.

Great but we didn't see what the blinds look like when closed all the way . . How much light is coming through ?

The inside of that window looks like vinyl. Mine are vinyl and I have been told that I can void my window warranty if I drill through it. Are there alternatives to screws for mounting that won't overly compromise the width of the blinds?

James, I couldn't tell how your blind looks at the bottom of the window. I want to mount my blinds on the inside of the window, but the window is not very deep. The bottom sash does not leave much space for the blind to come down. I am not sure how to proceed!
