- In today's video in my New Home Update series. I am showing you how easy it is to install the Home Decorators Collection blinds from Home Depot! Installing all 5 blinds including my patio door ONLY toke me about an hour. No need to pay someone when you can do it yourself :-)
I wanted to be very detailed and show you up close footage.
If you are installing multiple blinds here is an easy tip. I suggest you prep all of your windows at once. This means mark and screw all of your brackets, then all you will have to do is clip on all of your blinds back to back and your done.

Anytime I need to fix something I watch RUclips. This video was the best of them all. It was very easy to follow. I don't need to know what each piece is called, I just need good visuals and instructions. Keep calling pieces "thingies." It worked for me and I installed four sets of blinds due to you. Keep up the great work! You are a real pro!

@@createwithchantelThank you, dear. So I closed on my home on Friday, but the builder was adamant about me not installing my own blinds in case it voids the new home warranty. I have to read through my warranty documents again because I really need my blinds in ASAP because I feel so exposed at night.

Thank you, Chantel! I just had my windows replaced and the installers informed me that the cordless blinds in my kitchen would be my responsibility to put back up. I was totally clueless and even the simple questions of where do you install the bracket (inside the frame,? above the window frame?) and why all the holes in the bracket made me question myself. I knew that installing the blinds couldn't be that hard but the more questions I asked, the more intimidated I got. I had started researching handymen figuring I'd rather pay someone to do it than totally mess this up. Your practical tips and pointers have given me the confidence that I can handle this by myself. So happy you posted this video!
Tip for your subwoofer! Aim the port to the left wall. It will sound better! Also great video!

The best and simplest explanation I found online to assemble these types of blinds. I was struggling to attach mine to the brackets and when I saw how you did it, it was a “cake walk.” Thank you for taking the time to produce this video.

Lol I got to watching this before I took the brackets down from my old blinds. With my screw driver’s dead battery I got 4 of 12 screws out. They’re too tight to do manually so I have to wait until tomorrow. But after watching this I think the install will be easier than removing the old! THANK YOU!

Thanks! You're a lifesaver. The brackets aren't like the old one at all, and it just didn't seem like they would hold it in, but I see they snap in instead of inserting them and closing the little flap shut.

I just moved into my house the last Tuesday. All my widows do not come with blinds, they are six of them this is my first home I'm not a handyman. I'm being honest with myself after watching your video I think I can install those blinds by myself thank you very much your video is well done.

So I brought two cordless blinds last year trying to get someone to put them up to no avail. And here it is another year and I'm tired of looking at the boxes. You see, I have blinds up already but I want to put up a new pair the ones I have are the old-school kind that you have to pull up and down using the string. I did some searching and came across the cordless kind and was happy and brought them and had them since. I decided that maybe I can do it myself and began to search on youtube to see who can take me step by step because it can be that hard to do right? and the minute I pull up RUclips after three searches I came across yours and grrrl! I was glued! you start off on point! I really enjoy watching you do this DYI You have convinced me that women can do anything!!! for sure!! why was I waiting a whole year! I'm ashamed. And you are very detailed! You were what I was looking for! now I'm going to put my blind up with confidence! I just need a good electric drill and stew driver. Any recommendation?
