    Thanks for uploading this. It was helpful! When I saw that same message on the screen I freaked out because I had several kits on there that I created from scratch. I was hoping that changing the battery before pressing F4 would keep from losing the kits that I had created but to my dreadful surprise, it did not! Lost everything! I think I'll be buying a memory card to prevent this from happening again. As well as keep a few extra batteries on hand just in case.

      Did you ever get a memory card? If so where did you get it? Thanks

    Does anyone know... can the tdw-1 board be taken out and installed in another td10? I just saw a post saying once it's pulled out, it's useless... id hate to take my chances

    Thanks for the video, but this can be done in about a minute with less steps than this. You do not need to remove the mount from the back. Only remove the 8 screws underneath the unit near the front and back. You can use the mount (if it is still attached) to lift the bottom case off easily, swap the battery and replace the bottom and screws. It literally took me longer to write this comment than to replace the battery.

    Very cool! I love the Roland series of e-drums. I don't have any, but I do have the Yamaha DTXpress 2 and 3 series kits. I put them all together into one big double bass kit. I recently played the Roland TD-30 set,.. and man oh man ... I need that in my life. So responsive, so real. I was blown away by all the pad programming and sounds/loops/percussion. Thanks for the info and the tutorial. I'm sure when the time comes, I'll be able to check/change my batteries if need be. Glad to see another drummer in the TF-Fandom. :) How long have you been playing? Who is your favourite drummer? If any Transformer could be a drummer, who would it be and what type of music would they play?? Inquiring minds want to know! lol cheers.

      id like to say the easy answer would be jazz, but... maybe they all could just copy the beat pattern since they are machines. but breaking the beat and free styling might need a different mind. those close to humans. i started playing in 1984. but just a hobby. i have an axis double pedal and yes the td-30 is Niiice.

    I have an old T-10 that we have been gigging with for about a year. was looking for a spare in case it goes out which would be a show stopper. I was looking for a spare. I can find non-expanded TD-10s. Can anyone tell me how hard it it is to expand the TD-10 and where I can find an expansion card? Thanks for the great video.

    Greetings, I thank you for your video. I've owned my TD-10 since 2002 as well. I also have the expansion module. I love my TD10 and have used it to play live hundreds of times since 2003. It has been beat on, dropped, rained on, overheated, frozen and even disrespected by careless equipment handlers and it still performs flawlessly every time I power it up. I have put a ton of time into creating my personalized kits and never thought about an internal battery. Now I am alarmed to learn that someday I will have to use the knowledge you just shared with me to change my battery. I have the assumption that changing the battery will also loose all my customizations and the TD10 will default back to factory programming. Do you know if there is any way to swap the battery without loosing my custom setups? This is probably a question for Roland but since I am here I thought to ask you. So I thank you in advance if you respond. Take care.

      i think you have to use the special memory card to back up the data. i never had one. there might be another way with the midi, but i dont know.

    • @nmfireman
      @nmfireman 7 лет назад

      You need to back up to the compact flash card

    • @disf5178
      @disf5178 2 года назад

      You need the memory card (not a compact flash)
      Theyre hard to come by.
