Brilliant! I was on the fence about trying this but backed up and loaded the Master 50 set with only the minor glitch of setting the device ID to 17 from 10 (forget where I spotted that tip). Worked like a breeze after that. Thanks!
V-Expressions packs are available from their website vexpressionsltd.com and they support most Roland modules. Not sure of your level of success trying to use the TD-10 pack with other modules. Also, there are other companies and individuals that sell similar sorts of packs.
I haven't tested it, but can't see why the procedure wouldn't work. Be sure your VEX pack is compatible. If it's not compatible then it won't break your module, but might not get you all the kits.

Thank you for this. Great job! I'm just tapping back into my TD-10 kit and this was incredibly helpful.
This was great! Where can I download Drum pack s for the TD10 & are you able to install the TD 10 sounds on other Roland devices?

There are plenty of MIDI in/out to USB cables available on Amazon
will this work for the original TD-10 that is not expanded?

How do you get the V- expressions files?
Buy at their website www.vexpressionsltd.com.
Does it work for td12? Tks
I haven't tried on a TD-12 so can't say for sure, but looking at the manual it seems to me that it would work.
VDrumlib works well with TD-12
Pop them out from behind. Do not pull the cable
It was painful to even try, believe me. I hate yanking on cables!
