FILM DESCRIPTION:
Folk hero the Bandit has fallen on bad times but comes to life when he is hired to help transport a pregnant elephant to a Republican convention in Dallas. Arch-enemy Sheriff Buford T. Justice catches wind of the deal and resolves to spoil the Bandit's comeback.

Ole Buford T. Justice. Never ceases to make people laugh all throughout the movies.
In the original,he hated the script & told Hal Needham that he was just going to wing it.
Needham got out of The Great One's way,he ad libbed something like 80% of his lines & comedy history was made.
Two great cameos by Terry Bradshaw, and "Mean" Joe Greene. Also, Joe Klecko makes a cameo as a trucker in this movie too.
Bradshaw and Klecko also appeared in Cannonball Run which also starred Burt Reynolds
He actually was a trucker in the off season when he was younger, that was his truck.

Here’s a lesson from this scene: NEVER mess with a big guy like Mean Joe Greene, and Buford found that out the hard way.
exactly and especially considering Joe is a Hall Of Fame legend, I may be a diehard Eagles fan but I certainly know Mean Joe was a guy u never wanted 2 face on Sunday when he was mean during gametime but in a good way.

I roared at the bussing joke when this movie first came out. A lot of people today probably don't get it.

Always enjoyable. But notice the sign visible through the rear window is also upside down. They put a tie on him that is sticking up and the film is shown upside down. Bloopers can be just as fun as the movies themselves.

AN ERROR IN FILMING THIS SCENE.
Notice in the closeup after Joe Greene flips the car over, the "No smoking" sign on the way behind them is also upside down.
Ergo, only the camera was turned upside down, and Sheriff Justice's tie was propped up to make it appear they were inside the upside down car. (Otherwise, the No smoking sign would be right side up.)
Now who's dumb as a stump after Mean Joe Greene turned the squad car on top of the roof. I guess Buford T. Justice will listen to Junior next time before the squad car gets turned up-side-down on its roof. Tiffany Deaton
