That jump always impressed me because it looks like Frog and Bandit inside, though it was stunt people. Even more impressive is that they aren't wearing helmets and the car doesn't have visible roll bars. That ramp wasn't the kind normally used that gives the car a hard up launch, but instead a long slant which sends the car off soon to nose dive. Bouford's shooting is doubly impressive, considering he doesn't even need to use the sights. He really should give up chasing the bandit and start teaching people how to shoot from the hip.
Anyone else noticed they aren't actually keying the mic? I just now noticed it after watching this movie 30 or 40 times. Also that GMC 5 Star General that Snowman has is nice as hell.
The trans am in this movie is actually a 1980 turbo trans am, they only used it to try and sell trans ams because the turbo trans am was the better car to have than the other cars General Motors had at the time.
A long time ago when I was young and dumb, I got drunk one night and decided to do a jump similar to that in my car. Funny thing though the whole front of my car folded when I hit the ground. Oh, the car was a total loss.
