Klang: Malaysia's (Alleged) Most Dangerous City

Formerly (and, in our opinion, mistakenly) dubbed ‘The Most Dangerous City in Southeast Asia,’ Klang lies west of Kuala Lumpur along the eponymous Klang River.
Join us for a splendid day exploring the city’s exotic bird trade, selection of Pakistani antiques, and picturesque mosque, Masjid Bandar Diraja.

Sadly you missed the Old Klang City. It's called Little India Klang on the other side of the river, that's what the locals have been telling you along the way. The Fireman Captain probably worked at the 1890 Klang Fire Station on this part of Klang (guided tour available). To summarize things you've missed:
    1)Sultan Abdul Aziz Royal Gallery
    2)Little India
    3)The former Chartered Bank building
    4)Royal Klang Club
    5)Alam Shah Palace
6)Church of Our Lady of Lourdes
    7)Klang Convent School
    8)Tengku Kelana Indian Muslim Mosque
    9)Sri Nagara Thendayuthapani Temple
    10)Klang Fire Station
    11)Raja Abdullah Warehouse
    12)Mangrove Point

They're telling you to cross the river, Klang is huge and there's another old town just across the bridge which you pass several times. There's old colonial buildings including the magistrate Court, and post office, train station, the Selangor royal palace and famous coffee shops, like really good coffee there.

You need to come back to Klang again. Klang is huge and is divided by the the river. The north side, which you have visited and south side, which you have missed. Many of the important sites in Klang are on the south side as per some of the comments here. And i can't believe u guys were in one of the best restaurants serving the town's iconic dish, yet missed to try it. In terms of safety, the town centre is pretty safe. Next time come back to Klang by the komuter train. It stops in the south side and the epicentre of all the must visit places in klang!!!! Have a pleasant trip around Malaysia and do come back to Klang!

Not all Malaysian Chinese can speak Mandarin unless they went to Chinese vernacular school in Malaysia so they speak their mother tongue such as; Hokkien etc or simple English and Malay.
