Tim from Canada suggestions.. put the oil pan on a rollable dolly then it’s easier for you to transfer it from underneath the tractor. when you just fall like that chances are that there is going to be a spill if you put it on a dolly, then you can pull it to where needs to go. these are just suggestions to help you out with your jobs.
Appreciate you doing this video! Very informative as I got to change the fluids on my M7040 here over the winter. Changed the oil one time already since I purchased a year and half ago. Got to do the hydraulic filter and fuel filter this year with the oil! Thanks again! Have a good one!
Good video, thanks for posting. I did notice the pins on your loader arms are in the lower holes. FYI if you move them up to the top hole the lifting capacity will be greatly increased.
@@khtractors Sorry about that buddy, my fault, got it backwards. I have a 7060 was about to trade it off because of the lifting capabilities, the salesman thought about it and ask me if I knew about the "Power pin hole" I had no clue what he was talking about, The first time I changed oil in mine, the catch container had a small hole in it, what a mess!
Informative, indeed! I wish id of asked you to take some photos of your skid plates while you were down there! If you have schematics on them that would be better still. You're right about the underside's susceptibility to trees/branches. We do about everything the same except i like to spray some WD40 in the empty housing cover of the air filter and then wipe it out. The amount of residue left behind isn't enough to effect intake but can help trap minute dust-particles (I've been doing that for years - even on my chainsaws). Great video, Ben.
That’s a good idea on the air cleaner box! I don’t have any plans on my skid plate. Most things I build don’t. It’s in my head and I build as I go. I can get pictures though. Thanks
TIM from Canada suggestions you could always get one of those rollerball dollies that they use for doing car engine maintenance. do you know the kind the mechanics use in the garage?
Hello from Russell County!! Would the procedure be the same for a M7040? I have just purchased a 2012 model, and love it. I want to give it a good servicing.
I ordered mine from Messick’s online, you do have to pay some shipping but it’s convenient for me being 1.5 hours from my dealership. Thanks for watching
I just got my M7060 Friday! Thanks for helping me make the decision. I also have a Case CX37C. It has a thumb with british parallel threads, and I bought a Digga Auger with quick couplers. I need some fittings. CASE is no help at all. They were helpful until the day it broke, which was the first day I bought it, then I'm the unwanted stepchild now. I can't get anybody to focus on helping me with my quick connect dilemma. Any suggestions?
I’m not familiar with that style connector. Have you taken one off to go compare it with other brands to see if they might have a match? Surely more then just Case uses it. It’s a shame Case is like that, so many stories like this out there with them and New Holland. Good luck with your tractor!
@@khtractors Yeah, I got the grandcab and 12 speed, 4&1 loader, and top and tilt on the hydraulic ripper scraper I'm stoked! Nice addition. Very leery about the warranty, these people are so arbitrary I doubt they'd honor it if something happens major.

Yes that’s correct. 15 gallons of fluid. I change my hydraulic filters every year and fluid every two years. That just works good for the hours I put on the tractor yearly.
I’ve not had any experience with mine showing codes so I haven’t looked up clearing them. I do believe it talks some about the codes in the book. Sorry I can’t help you! Thanks for watching!
Have you tried parking on a hill to change the hydraulic filters? I'm at 55 hrs and need to change mine and don't know how bad the oil is going to come out.
I have pulled one side up on blocks and changed the filters. It stills runs out pretty quick. You’ll lose probably around a gallon. I do that every other year between changing the Hydraulic oil. I only changed the filters at 50 hours like your wanting to do. Good luck!
That's why I'm asking. I am new to owning a tractor and 2 days into mowing some brush I hit a limb just right and next thing you know I'm walking back home for more Fuel!! Lol. Good stuff I just did my fluids in my tractor thanks to you!!
A M6060 has a wet clutch that runs off the hydraulic fluid, (hydraulic shuttle shift). You don’t want that clutch getting damaged from contamination. Also the hydraulic oil is your gear oil for the differential and transmission. It’s extremely important to at least change the filters regularly. On the first 50 hour service my filters had collected a lot of metal shavings from the manufacturing process. Each filter has two big magnets in them. Hydraulic oil wasn’t as critical to keep changed on old tractors but in these it’s important! Thanks for watching!
I did one at 900hrs so probably next season. I do have a video on a L39 that I think includes doing the front axle. ruclips.net/video/LYDl0-inqIc/видео.html Thanks for watching!
It’s 24’x40’ with an 8’x12’ addition on the back. Yes we hired it to be put under roof but did the sides ourselves. Actually all the lumber except the post we sawed, and had the carpentry shop at my career center build the trusses. Thanks
Thanks. Went ahead and done mine. Fyi that plastic radiator plug does not come out all completely, iust enough to let a decent flow of coolant out. Also, you just push up on the overflow tank to get it to slide off it’s holding bracket. No bolts/nuts for it.
A little north of 600. It’s got that old green coolant from the factory. Manual says every 2 years which I think is probably a little too often but sometimes a guy just gets bored.
It’s possible. Check your fuses and then check your power at the pump with a test light or meter. Is the tractor not running? Also a 40 series has a mechanical pump just incase you have an older series. I think all 60 series has the electric pump.
Great video and very informative! What brand hydraulic fluid did you use again? I have a M6060 as well. Only has about 200 hours on it. I have already did the 50 hour filter change but was curious what fluid you said in the video since it was the same spec and cheaper than UTD-2. Thanks!

Thanks for the video. I just hit 26 hrs on my m7060 i just got last Thursday. Going to keep up with maintenance as suggested in the manual.
Be sure too change the hydraulic filters at 50 hours. You will see a good amount of mill shavings on the magnets with that one.
