    Ben, I too was so impressed by how well that shop vac did, night and day difference. Saved a bit of cash and avoid a huge mess. Valuable tip to be sure. Have a great day, and as always, thanks for bringing us along. Cheers.

      Normally that oil would gush out without the vacuum where the filters are mounted so low. I was pleasantly surprised! Thanks for watching!

      Every 50 hours is soon. I did do my first change at 50 hours. Can’t hurt anything but I’d be changing oil 6 times a year at least 🤣! The book calls for every 400 hours or once a year on this one. Thanks for watching.

    Great job on the fluid changes.The vac was the trick for changing the hydraulic filters.This spring I think I would pressure wash the engine bay.The M6060 will love you for that, just a suggestion.Have a blessed day and be SAFE.🚜👏👍❤️🙏

      It’s just dirty around the battery compartment area. The engine is clean. I don’t wash up there because of the electrical connections. I do blow it out with air occasionally. Appreciate you watching!

    I just came in from the shop after doing the 50hr service on my mx5400hstc. This is my first hst tractor and the fluid kind of got away from me before I could get the new filter on. Sure wish I’d of seen your video before I started. The misses is going to pick up some fluid on her way home from work😡. Your tutorial’s are very helpful for some of us!!

    Ive heard of the shop vac trick, ive never changed just the hydraulic filters on the 7060. The manual said to change just the filters at 400 hrs but i ended up changing the hydraulic oil and filters out at 300 hrs just to be pro active. The shop vac is a good idea considoring the udt2 is something close to 20 bucks a gallon! then i did the hydraulic oil change i put the tractor on the trailer, drained it into a funnel with some cleat tubing on it going to 5 gallon buckets worked out well for the 15 gallons that it took.

    That was pretty cool, Ben. Ok so stupid question. Does the oil go into the vacuum?

    • @khtractors
      @khtractors  2 года назад +2

      No the fill port is high enough to keep the nozzle out of the oil. It works like holding your thumb over a straw and lift it out of your drink, the liquid stays in the straw until you move the thumb. Just creates a suction inside the housing. I was impressed with how good it did. Thanks for watching!

    Love the maintenance videos and yes Sir Rottela is the best I have a 2000 f350 with 401,585 miles on her. Pulled equipment and hay it’s whole life bought it new. Have changed oil with Rottela t4 every 4000 miles. Never had the valve covers off and yes they leak. How much oil does the 6060 hold

    • @khtractors
      @khtractors  2 года назад +2

      Rotella is great! The M6060 holds 15 quarts I believe of engine oil and 15 gallons of hydraulic oil. That’s why I don’t like changing the hydraulic oil as often. Appreciate you watching!

    Another good video, What about those new tire chains? Don't think i have seen them before....and i always worry about wear on tires when i see chains...also i don't know if your m6060 is covered or not because of the year but mine just got recalled for bad injectors....they tested and replaced them all, even covered the haul bill both ways, mite want to check with the guys over at Abingdon. can't hurt to ask

    • @khtractors
      @khtractors  2 года назад +1

      I’ve heard of injectors causing issues. I think it started around 2017, so I’m probably ok. I’d say it would have already showed up as a problem by now if it was going too. Another RUclipsr I keep up with Hillside Acres had to have his replaced. I’ve had the chains since 2015, just rarely use them. Appreciate you watching!
