I wonder when Charlie will finally realize the Rashbaum sold him a bag of goods. The defense story was simply ridiculous!
After hearing these calls, I believe Charlie sold this story to Rashbaum. Rashy, however, believed it and offered him a ride home after trial. Huge mistake for any defense attorney to make such promises of freedom. If Charlie's claims are true, that is.
Yeah he did. Rashbaum was not impressive at all. Wonder if he gets his million dollar fee?

I almost feel bad for Charlie that his OWN MOTHER would ask him to put his life on the line like this.
Imagine killing someone, being tried in court , having your ex girlfriend knowing everything about the murder, the same ex-girlfriend you used to set up the murder, lying in court, being found guilty, and then spending countless time on the phone with your mother being upset that the court system didn’t believe your lies about being extorted.
Imagine further having a wonderful life full of money and material goods and losing it all because you set up your brother in law to be killed instead of supporting your sister with her divorce or encouraging her to make the best of her situation. He really had it all and gave it all up out of a toxic mix of arrogance and ignorance.
Doesn't get much more delusional than that. Of course, much of what they're saying on these calls is for the "public", should he get a new trial, which is not going to happen in a kajillion years (hopefully).
It's hard to listen to this guy's nonsense. His concocted story was ridiculous, and the amount of evidence against him was irrefutable. His biggest liabilities were his unchecked ego and big mouth. The guy thought he knew it all and now he can spend the rest of his life in prison pontificating to the walls. What a Loser.

I remember, I found a wallet on my way from school I went home and told my parents . My mother said take the money out of it and take it to the police station . My father said no, leave everything in it and take it to the police station . Sometimes doing the right thing makes you feel proud .

Right? Imagine the irony, of his grief and sadness, over not being able to be a dad! Of course, Brie had to fight him in court, to even have him acknowledge and support his child.
Charlie is incapable of seeing that what he’s done has resulted in Dan not being able to be a father or watch his kids grow. He’s only concerned about himself and not being able to be a father to his son. It’s shocking honestly.

why do i get the feeling he still believes he is still on the witness stand? The calls are breaking the fourth wall... they are actually talking to us. Not to each other.
They talk about Donna taking her Xanax or her pills A LOT. I can only imagine how dependent she is on taking pills for her mental symptoms. She's probably going through some level of withdrawal now that she's locked up. It is interesting to know that she is.now.in the same situation as Charlie is as he explains his reality of suicide watch, showering, commissary etc.
I think, after listening to all these calls, that Charlie has some sort of mental illness. Not the kind that could explain or excuse murder, but some troubling condition that bonds him blindly, unnaturally to his mother, and doesn’t allow him to see he’s been used by Donna and Wendy. He’s still seeking his mother’s approval and Wendy’s attention. I think one day he’ll wake up and realize he was used, but it will probably be Aha moments in some eye opening prison classes. Or during therapy if that is available.

He's not the one who came up with that absurd story. Cherley was. Im sure his lawyer tried to talk him out of it but Charlie insisted to all, for the entirety of the trial, that he was completely innocent. That the story he told is true. He has to be insane to think anyone would believe it, but dont blame the lawyer. Their job is to speak for the defendant but the dependent is the one who gets the final word on how the lawyer will plead and argue on their behalf.
And you just know, know that both of them felt he was guilty.
I saw Dan on a pod, and he did sell them down the road.

He is on the phone a lot, When you are on the stand the worst thing you can do is tell bare face lies about things unrelated, like doing cash work for friends, he was paid in cash so no paper trail for the IRS, and everybody would know that.

I’m trying to understand how people can question that this comment has to do with hanukkah. I celebrate Christmas maybe I don’t understand. Christmas time we go shopping for toys and things for kids. The more money the more gifts. I was trying to say that wendi now has more money and therefore more gifts. I was lazy I don’t know if gifts are exchanged for hanukkah so I guess that’s the reason why I’m seeing comments about jewish discrimination. No, prison does not have as many privileges as in jail while preparing for your trial.

Most people aren’t on the phone this much in jail! Not because they’re not allowed too but because it’s ridiculously expensive! There’s a charge for the start of every call & then a charge PER MINUTE. I can’t imagine how much he’s spent. Prison will be a rude awakening, only allowing a small time for calls. lol.
Donna...U are in agony ,talking to Charlie in jail.Imagine how Ruth feels and felt, at losing her son to a murder.Ruth can never talk to or see Dan....because he was murdered.Such a very sad story.So many children ,growing up without parents or a parent....and only coz not 1 of these dim wits stopped ,to think of consequences...before carrying the murder out.

Donna 12 people didn’t think it was “reasonable “ !! And 12 new people will also see it’s not reasonable ! His story was not believable !
If Katie would have rolled with Charlie's extortion story, they might have actually not been charged w 1st degree murder. But she would not roll on Sigfredo & I think she was pretty truthful. I mean her loyalty to anyone besides her kids is a bit crazy imo. Even though the extortion story still sounds fake they could say thats the reason for the 2 or 3 trips they made to find out Dan's daily route bc all they had was a name to threaten Chalie. Wendi got em though, Thanks Queen. Lets not be mad at her. She had a roided up hot head brother, a Mom who cried herself to sleep over her only daughter and getting him killed seemed so right in moment. Daddy had political connections & Charlie thought he was protected. She might have nodded & smiled but Charlie is who did it. Unless they get more evidence that is.

After listening to these calls and the wires, I’m completely convinced the hit was Charlie’s idea.
All of these calls show clearly who is in charge, and it’s not Donna and Harvey. Charlie tells them when to buy and sell stocks, when and where things need to be, etc. Don’t get me wrong, D&H are no parents of the year by any means.
Charlie wanted to be the big man who solves the families problems for his mom. And Donna was all too eager to sacrifice her son to get what she wanted.
Charlie is absolutely blaming his sister for being dumb enough to show up at the crime scene, and his mother’s emails for the reason it didn’t work as planned.
He’s also blaming them for giving him bad advice about “getting a fair trial.”
He’s never going to throw his parents under the bus, but the resentment towards the true mastermind, Wendy… he’s going to choke on that pill and spit it right out. And so he should!
They all need to be in prison for life.
