That blurple Lite is, by far, the prettiest color yet -- proud to own one. Battery life I have found to be fine -- in Airplane Mode, anyway.
Indigo. Blurple 😂 love that though.

Love my switch lite better than my regular switch. Fantastic console. Must have for any gamer.
I think the Switch Lite is better than the regular for handheld gaming but the regular is great (and needed) when you want to play in the bigger TV screen.
@@AJ-sm9db absolutely. I find that for me I play in handheld more simply because I can. It has a weird charm to it. But would still recommend a regular large switch for someone’s first switch.
Why is the lite better
@@Special_Agent_Frank_Horrigan
Better for looks, feel, and most of all “imo” portable/handheld gaming purposes. It’s honestly right up my alley.
@@UnsettlingDwarf true, unless your buying your first nintendo switch ONLY for handheld use, then you should still buy the lite. It feels more durable since it’s a single unit, and on the go it’s better. It’s also way cheaper, I was able to find a switch lite for $149.79.
Why is no one talking about this man’s editing, it’s top notch keep it up!
A couple weeks ago I preordered the switch OLED thinking that would be the smartest option to buy as I don’t own any(“new” system, bigger hardware etc) but after giving it a ton of though I ended up buying an almost brand new Lite with Pkm sword for 150€ and haven’t left it alone since then.
In the end, all I wanted was a portable, fun and durable device and the Switch Lite checked all those boxes 😌
Yeah I currently have a switch lite but still pre ordered the oled switch though I'm most likely gonna cancel it, as it is $350 and it'll just be too big as im able to put my switch lite in any bag.
That’s me right there. I’ve been watching ALL possible reviews of the 3 possible systems, leaning towards the OLED model (bigger/better/juicer screen, new hardware revision). The final decision was to get Lite which I do not regret. The quality to portability ratio is great. Looking forward to catching several flights with this console in hands! Zelda is BREATHtaking, worth the 5 year wait :)
I have pc who can run some of game pretty good, ps4 pro and i was thinking to get switch lite bcs of price and protability
I got my Switch Lite on day one of release and I can’t put it down! Totally worth it 💪🏾
How is your joysticks ? Any drift ?
@@fabiovinicius4833 not at all bro! It’s worked really smooth since day one 👍🏽
@@orlandomota6685 cool !! Good to know.. i got one yesterday.. a little bit afraid, but all good at the moment !! Thank you brother !!!
Dropped the switch lite the other day. I thought the consol was Chalked. When I looked at it it had a couple indents from the fall. But works like a charm. Added some character
I had to throw mine on the floor like 10 times at least to make that slow mo drop sequence. Also took it apart and reassembled it even though I barely knew what I was doing. This things a tank.
@@TechSpaceCowboy 😍glad to hear it
You video quality is 🔥. I thought yout got like tens of thousand or even hundreds thousand. And I just saw you only got 5k subs.
Keep it up!
im saving up for a switch lite atm, so im watching as many reviews as i can, thanks for the information
Great video mate, excellent production and enjoyed the discussion points. Appreciate your insight!
Honestly i impulsively bought a regular switch last month cuz i was gonna go crazy from the lockdown in Sydney. I initially bought a lite from Amazon but the delivery took too long so i cancelled that and bought a regular one from a store near me. I must say, I’m happy i bought the regular switch cuz docking is a nice option that i do use regularly too.
Very good review! I’m subscribing😄
I remember how next level having a backlit screen was when the SP came out 😂
Oh it changed the game forever. All my friends had those screen light clips that you’d clip on to light up your screen lol
@@TechSpaceCowboy Easily impressed children we were hahaha. You couldn’t sell me on that shit these days. Might get a Switch lite though.😂
Good times

You're fine :)
Awesome work Ryan. I've never had a Nintendo Switch before. Who knows, maybe one will be in my future :)
I'd make that decision sooner rather than later. Apparently the chip shortage will be hitting Nintendo harder by next year.
This is a great review and the fact it comes from a real user who has invested time to play it and do more reviews on it to showcase its pros and cons. I will say that although I play mostly portable, the OLED Switch is calling my name...at some point lol. But it will be really hard to get one...but eventually one I will...BUT let me add your scenarios are funny, your faces make me laugh 😄🥰. Keep it up.
I’ve bought the lite initially but end up getting the normal version, even playing exclusively handheld.
The sacrifice for portability is very small for a bigger screen.
Yeah, even if one has an inkling they’ll want to game on the TV the full switch has other advantages too
Literally was thinking of a switch lite TODAY and this dropped today lol. Great video definitely gonna get one!
Man I just traded some cush for this Nintendo LITE an I love it.
How’s that for timing? Haha.
Just got the exact one a couple days ago & wow I was so surprised of the quality and the games are so much fun . The fact the price is only $199 is kinda crazy
Nice content btw !
Awesome video! I was thinking about selling my lite and buying a Switch 2019, but the price diference is way to high for what they offer. Your video has convinced me of keeping my Switch lite.
I really love this system, the only thing that bothers me a little is the fact that I have to avoid playing some action games that goes hard on the joycons (astral chain, bayonetta) for the fear of possible drift. But in the normal switch it is the same situation unless you also get a pro controller on top of that so... Yeah haha my lite stays.
I’m waiting for the OLED switch. For $50 more might as well get the new hardware.
Plus I gotta review it for y’all…. Lol
No regrets with my switch lite
i want a steam deck lite, the switch lite is really the only thing that can be called a true handheld rn imo
I’m dying for the steam Deck. I hope it lives up to the hype
That is a very nice take on Lite.
Usually people just compare it to OLED not realizing Lite is a handheld-first gaming device.
Just got mine today blue was simply irresistible.
Somebody that likes games like me I loved my switch lite to buy the switch oled but now I've heard of the screen burn in I regret selling it great video bro you content is explained really well👍👍👍
The Switch Lite is my “take anywhere” Witcher 3 machine. Switch on anytime I want to be Geralt fit a few minutes 😆
This definitely helped. I may get one in the future.
People forget that price is the biggest driving factor of a product. Everyone’s obsessing over how good the Steam Deck will be even though it’s at least double the cost. Triple if you opt for the highest storage option.
Even better, the Lite has been out for 2 years so you can easily find used ones in good condition for £120. That’s a damn steal. Just buy a Lite and a shed load of games….
I have been heavily considering a switch lite. You sold me! 110% getting one! The info, the review, the detail! Exactly what I needed to know! that it is defo the perfect choice!!💛💛
Where are you buying it from ? And also do let me know about the cost
You’ll regret it when you start playing smash.
@@marshallosantos9035 what about divinity original sins 2 ?
Have you been enjoying the Switch Lite?
I bought a Switch Lite. I saved myself the money I would have spent on the Oled, or Normal version.
you earned yourself a sub buddy.
I almost bought the Grey light because of the price than magically I found the Monster Hunter Rise Deluxe Limited Edition console for $225.99 CAD on Walmart. WOW 🤩 that’s $154 CAD I saved and it’s cheaper than a light at $259.99.
Im so pumped too finally try Zelda Breath Of The Wild
Right now I am considering getting a Lite to supplement my Switch. Something smaller and a bit more durable for travel. The flex where the joycons annoyed me a bit, but I think its a size thing.
I own a lite; I'm trying to get an og switch so I can dock my games.
@Anthony Pinto I hope you were able to - it’s something I acted on recently myself. Got a regular Switch in April 2021 and I loved it but was starting to get increasingly concerned in how it’d fair during travel. It felt far too large to be portable in public spaces like in airports.
I recently bought a refurbished Switch Lite and I’m now making this my cozy games Switch. My other graphic-intensive games will now be on the regular Switch docked to the TV.
Having two Switches is a bit awkward but also somehow takes the guesswork out of things too. If you can get one of these systems refurbished or for cheap, it’d be worth having as a supplement.
If you haven’t already, get the Lite. I, too have a regular Switch but will only use it docked. The Lite is awesome as a handheld.
What i love the most in this video is his hilarious arguing with himself. His character is so cute😚
I just got a Switch Lite a few weeks ago and I love it. I wanted it for the extreme potability. It's super easy to slide in my bag and I like how solid it feels. I have an OLED Switch as well but I find myself playing the Lite more. Certain games I prefer to play on the OLED since I have some bigger joycons that are better for shooters and racing games where I need more precise input from the thumbsticks. Otherwise, I'm playing on the Lite. Thanks for the video.
I got joycon drift on 4 joycons of the OG Switch and after a year of having my lite. I do take care of my things but the original joycons get drift soo easily. My lite was understandle after 100s of hours in different games. It also wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. I just took my lite to a repair shop and got it fixed. I don't bother with the regular joycons because I don't play the OG anymore.
I'm getting one for Christmas....I'm super excited ☺️
I love my Switch Lite so much. I am planning on it being the perfect companion to my Steam Deck (when it arrives!)
I have my gameboy color for 20years already and i just fixed the screen burned which is the only issue for not being played for years and now it works fine!
I have an og switch and a switch yellow lite and im picking up my lite more maybe because of portability and im playing paper mario right now
GREAT VIDEO! I JUST GOT SWITCH LITE
Here i am excited for aya neo pro to drop this month.
The Playstation 2 had a huge impact in the gaming world just because of its huge library of games, even if out of 1000/800 that leaves you with 200!! amazing games...the Switch dont have the numbers, the PC does by a mile and then some,PC games from all the way back the 80s to now and also the console world from then to know.
Yeah, but as I mentioned the optimization of those games is important. Most modern PC games weren’t specifically coded for mobile-readiness like Switch games are.
i grabbed the lite first and like it a lot but recently got the oled for the bigger screen and can't be more satisfied love it, oredered like 3 new games a case and a hori pac-man split pad pro...i do like that steam deck but prefer the option to buy physical games this way if i got a game i don't play i can sell it or trade it in for another, when you download games you stuck
Yeah! I'm gonna get one. My last Nintendo product was the first Game Boy! The last two Zelda look crazy. (I'm a PS guy by the way)
I prefer Switch Lite to the full fat Switch I don't need all the additional features it will be a companion console to my soon to be Series S and later PS5. It gives me accesses to their exclusive library mostly 3d/2d Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Smash a few 3rd party titles, relatively cheap if you shop around can find a cheaper price and the ability to play on the go either bus journey or car trip. I like the design and accessories and will most likely buy both physical and digital games. Steam deck to me isn't as comparable more a mini portable PC capable of console like experience and very expensive.
I'm thinking of getting a lite but I'm so afraid of drifting. is it as common as they say?
I haven’t experienced it at all
I absolutely love my switch lite!!
Same. I just got the switch lite and im getting more and more games then the feels to play it on my tv is getting me there. Yikes
I used my switch lite for a year straight no drift. But I needed to dock me switch, so I still traded it in.
I love Nintendo and with how crazy this gen in term of high tech competition is hope Nintendo can survive this gen and don't end up died like sega. Basically Nintendo Switch is 10-15 years behind its competitor especially with steamdeck almost here.
Already sold over 103 million sales
@@angelvillegas9604 Yeah, I think the sales speak for themselves. Nintendo have been able to come up with a Hybrid, flexible system (the regular Switch or OLED, that is) that can be used a few different ways. Couple that with their awesome exclusive games & I think people start to care less about their ‘behind-the-times’ hardware. Would be nice if they did focus on that, though. Would make for an even greater experience.
@@AJ-sm9db well hopefully switch 2 chances that.
I want it because I always play handheld anyways and i mostly play single player games like breath of the wild
at this rate i dont need new switch pro cause we all know steam deck would just beat it
what i need is many many new AAA game port to switch dont care bout the graphic texture as long as its smooth performance and i can play together w my friend especially cross play
beautiful as a person and in your content
I would buy the Lite over the regular size Switch if it had TV out. It doesn't, but that's of course why the OG Switch is available to buy.
It wouldn't make necessarily make business sense for Nintendo to allow the Lite to have TV out, because they make more money by upselling to the regular model. But I still hold that hope for the future having been exposed to the PSP (which all models besides the 1000 came with TV out).
Really wish it had tv out. A lite and a pro controller is all I need.
@@TechSpaceCowboy Completely agree, Ryan.
The nintendo switch lite dialga and palkia edition will be mine
I’m thinking about getting it too!
I have the switch and s lite. I mostly use the lite as it's better for me in handheld mode. Never did hook up the switch to the TV that much. Switch is a little too large to hold for a long time but I'm really intrigued by the larger screen on the Oled but not sure if the sacrifice of the better feel of the lite for me. Anyone get the Oled from the lite. Let me know what you think.
I have the OLED and yellow lite (tempted to buy the blue one it looks cool) I play a bit of both tv and handheld but leaning towards handheld gaming lately. The OLED screen is beautiful but I love the comfort of the lite. How is your experience with the switch lite?
You need both cause Nintendo exclusives are sick but other than that then steam deck is the go to :) i love em both
Yow I'm still on the fence as to which one to buy coming from a 3ds I wouldn't mind getting the lite at all right now I'm thinking if I had the to buy the OLED plus one game then I could just buy the OG switch with two games or even the lite with Four FOUR WHOLE GAMES that's insane really considering the lite mainly cause of that price the OLED right now is a far cry especially with how difficult it is to buy one online plus living in a third world country doesn't make things easier still can't decide between the OG switch or the Lite though I am leaning towards the Lite
Which one do you finally get? Lite or OG?
@@brosplit still haven't gotten yet but going for the OG
I started with the switch lite but I have long fingers that made it abut difficult to hold giving me finger pain having them so cramped together if the switch lite was a bit bigger it would be perfect for me but I think that defeats the purpose or the portability so I stick with the regular switch but I have to say I hate that joycons wiggle so so much omg 😂
So I have a PS4 and I'm not getting a PS5 anytime soon cause I still have a lot of games on my library that I never played. I'm thinking about getting a switch lite or the regular one (v2) on black friday cause there's a lot of great games I missed on the last couple years.
On one hand I should maybe go for the lite cause I already have the ps4 to play on the tv, but on the other hand I would like to have the ability to also play the switch on the tv for some of the bigger rpgs (the witcher, zelda etc).
I really don't know what to do 😅😅
Hopefully you’ll work out what’s right for you.
witcher 3 on dock is Awful pixelated graphics
It's been 2 yrs since I saw the switch lite and review until now Can't decide what to buy, og or lite😁😁
If you’re on the go at all, you should be considering the OLED or your lite in my opinion. In my recent OLED switch video I go over this stuff a bit in the end if you wanna check it out
@@TechSpaceCowboy let see if i can vet another bucks for oled
What Shall I do? I just got a lite on my birthday which was 11 days ago and I’m allowed to get the oled model for Christmas.
What do you mean you’re allowed to get one…?
@@TechSpaceCowboy since I just got one for my birthday I asked to get the new oled for chirstmas and they said yeah

I’d kill for that
I have the OLED version which we play with my son mostly docked.
I have traded iPhone XR for a Switch Lite aaaaand this was the best decision ever.
Wait only 6k subs?? I thought u had millions. When did u start?
Slightly over a year ago. I’ve worked very hard to try and have good quality videos
@@TechSpaceCowboy i will support you ❤
Almost sold mine recently because i have a rog and barley touched my lite but after turning it on the other day i decided to just keep both 😅
I like this dude's logic. Similar to my thinking that this is the lowest barrier to entry to an ecosystem I haven't been apart of since I had a wii and a 1st gen 3ds. Low barrier to entry, low risk and able to play this while my gf and I "watch" whatever British show she's obsessed with this week.
Already have a V2 Switch but don’t know why I’m considering getting a Lite.. lol I like my V2 Switch but not a big fan of playing handheld mode on it. Feels off. The lite reminds me of a gameboy that I usted to have years ago. Which is the main reason I got switch to play Pokémon BD.
Know this is an old video but I gotta say that joystick drift is extremely easy to fix by yourself unless one is at Forrest Gump level of intelligence. You can buy spare extra parts online for extremely cheap and opening the console and changing the sticks is ridiculously easy. Probably wont ever be needed though.
RIGHT
The Steam Deck is gonna mop the floor with video games 🎮 😇 can't wait to get one. Buuuuut the switch lite is reallllly user friendly 😍😍😋
I’m so fricken hyped for the steam deck. I’m hoping it docks into a display and plays seamlessly as advertised. Would seriously disrupt the gaming space if it does well.
How is the Deck not user friendly? It has a preinstalled user friendly OS. Just because it has other features like being able to install Windows, doesn't mean that the average Joe won't be able to use it.
@@ivanbenja4 Switch lite is half the price to be fair, but the steam deck looks objectively better so far.
@@khailils446 Switch Lite is incomparable in terms of power... Same as the regular Switch. And the cost usually lies in the games.

I have a switch lite, it's good but a little bit uncomfortable
It will survive because it's blurple!!!
2000hrs is 3 hrs a day 😮 i wonder how many hours i have on xbox
Love the Switch Lite.
Switch talks with its games
don't know whythee is a compairison the steam deck is a tiny computer the switch lite is a console that play only nintendo stuff. leave me do my photoshop stuff on my steam deck
This video was more of a switch lite review and not an argument to which is better. Me personally I’d get the steam deck over the switch OLED since it can literally play any and every game. And if you can’t play a game there’s usually a workaround. Sure you don’t have to worry about that on switch but it also doesn’t have the game catalog that steam has. Not to mention the emulation you can do to where you can even play switch games on steam deck. I don’t think there’s a reason to actually buy a switch other than for children or the exclusives but even then you could just play them steam deck. Steam deck also has way better and more comfortable controls. My hands never cramp up unlike switch and even worst the lite. Games also run and look way better than switch.
It is called switch lite final review
Do you think Nintendo is going to create home console
If they do it’s at least 2-3 years out. My guess is they’ve started working on the next gen after the Switch line.
Nintendo is a notoriously difficult company to predict though, as none of their console releases seem to follow any logical pattern.
The prospect of having your steam library on the deck is very appealing, but I guarantee you the novelty will wear off instantly. If you have a large steam library then you'll probably already have a gaming PC in your house. I want a steam deck, but I know that it will be a lot heavier, clunkier and much warmer to play than the switch.
Portability has never been a USP for Nintendo anyway. Their USP is their exclusive catalogue of games. Steam Deck Enters the marketplace, yes, but not the game because it is not an alternative for a nintendo switch.
Ps5 and switch lite team
I had joy cons drift
I'd love to buy a lite but don't want to start a new Island on Animal Crossing 🤔
You can transfer your save. I’m not sure how, I’ve never done it. But I know it’s possible
Even 3ds is still worth it 👍
psvita more worth
I have the gray switch lite and I love it much more than any switch “ no detachable joycons” guys are you stupid ? It’s the switch lite
I Rather Play Adult Games Simple As That.
Talking about durability, Valve is not designing a product that's not gonna withstand a drop on the floor either.
Nevertheless a throw on the floor

In sales it won’t come close to outselling Switch Oled but I hope Steam Deck does well
I'm super excited for the Steam Deck but I heard you won't be able to play all the steam games on it.
They are two different games steam deck isn’t even a console thus shouldn’t be compared to one if anything it’s competition will be other PCs they aren’t trying to target the console market

I was actually looking for an dishonest review. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers right
I have one of those for the steam deck if you’re interested
You mention how durable the switch lite is for several minutes, only to explain that the joysticks are super delicate and need a special case to hold because they can get damaged just by getting caught on your back pack.
Also you use Nintendo's track record with handheld disability pretending that the ds and 3ds didn't have the most delicate, easy to damage, bumpers in the world. Also the damn plastic stylus could damage the damn plastic screen
Nintendo sales calculator for 10 dollar.Lots of shovelware on eshop.Steam deck has 50000 steam games.Full back compat.Only thing stopping steam deck to success is comfort and battery life
The real problem with Lite version is non detachable joy cons
I think the people experienced joy-con drift were drunk!
‘Tis a great way to play
@Mark nah some people just dont take care of their things! 👊
neither is true. After a year of having my lite, and taking care of it, I got joycon drift. Honestly it wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. I just took it to a repair shop and got it fixed easy. If I remember correctly it was $50. Cheaper than buying a new pair of joycons.
@@Whoareyoupeople900 Just curious but what kind of shop did you get it fixed at? 50 isnt bad. Better than sending it to Nintendo and having to wait a few weeks to get your console back.
Nah they just don't care about their things. I've had a switch lite and now I have the v2 switch... Two sets of joy cons... No drift at all... I bought the BinBok LED controllers and the left one started to drift off and on... Sometimes it driffs sometimes it doesn't lol 😅 I have no clue why 🤔
"switch games comes with portability in mind" laughs upscaled from 480p
Please don't buy this thing. If your paying for online which he never stated the value of the switch wil slowly increase you can get a steam deck the category of games are a lot cheaper and you can play almost every console out of the box including switch games. The value of the steam deck is a lot fucking better than the value of the switch. With 2 ways to upgrade the storage to the console. By comparason the lite and the OLED switch is shit by comparison. I had a lite and a got rid of it. When I get my hands on steam deck its goodbye switch.
Nintendo switch lite waste of money get big one tv. 100 more
