Lyrics Below:
It glittered and it gleamed
For the arriving beauty queen
A ring and a car
Now you're the prettiest by far
No party she'd not attend
No invitation she wouldn't send
Transfixed by the inner sound
Of your promise to be found
"Nothing or no one will ever
Make me let you down"
Kiss them for me, I may be delayed
Kiss them for me if I am delayed
It's divoon, oh it's serene
In the fountains pink champagne
Someone carving their devotion
In the heart-shaped pool of fame
"Nothing or no one will ever
Make me let you down"
Kiss them for me, I may be delayed
Kiss, kiss them for me, I may find myself delayed
On the road to New Orleans
A spray of stars hit the screen
As the tenth impact shimmered
The forbidden candles beamed
Kiss them for me, I may be delayed
Kiss them for me, I may find myself delayed
Kiss them for me, kiss them for me
Kiss them for me, I may find myself delayed
Kiss them for me, kiss them for me - Видеоклипы

Mine too by far... just another level...
- one thing I love about Siouxsie is she's never sold out, she's remained true to herself and her art.

Her original punk fanbase had a different opinion circa 'Kaleidoscope'.
the thing was, she was the gothmother of music
Yet her music was still tuneful
And still does.
I adore Siouxsie. I'm 64 now and still find her hypnotic and mesmerising. She was my queen back in my punk/goth days. I still do my make-up like hers! 🤣❤

Not really. This is song is a massive departure from what put her on the map. She sold right out here trying to be more commercial.

@@M.C.P. Not Just quality, a segment that revealed she could sing, and look fantastic doing it.
@@nepntzerZer A more mainstream sound doesn't automatically mean 'selling out'. That's a childish response. It's worse to make the same album over and over again. Artists want to move on and evolve, not go over the same ground. Staying true to yourself means doing what you want even if your old punk fans won't like it.

Siouxsie And The Banshees - Kiss Them For Me (Official Music Video) 0429am 18.9.23 a what? i see she's still at it. which is cool, i suppose... an antidote to the kinder reich of nowadays trite musical formats, i suppose... all cruddy spliced samples and vile odes to whatever. this is more in keeping with the Cocteau Twins, though. so, i dunno how innovative this will be deemed... she seems to be stood onstage replete with guitars these days... anyhow, not much to say other than it seems like a magazine fuelled romp thru the ages these past few days...adios, old ham.

Truly blessed to have grown up during this amazing musical era...
Oh god her beautiful face.
Its not the face, its the hair. Shes been hiding behind that fricken punk frizzzzz all this time.
With 'that' make up she looked stunning, without it she was positively to die for.
she looks like her own aunt though
But your jealous opinion of her appearance is pointless, it's unlikely she ever wanted to please you.
Siouxsie was never hidden behind 'frizzzzz'; she spikey hair, big fkn deal. She looked wonderful then, she looks wonderful now. She's her own person undaunted by years in a misogynist industry or puerile judgement of her & her music since she first lit up the scene.
This is about the actress Jayne Mansfield, everything is about her, the lyrics, the heart shaped pool filled with pink champagne, the pink poodles, Jayne Mansfield, her desire to be a film star but the film industry broke her because she didn't want to make it their way.
You're damn right...
thank you !!!!
It's true. And the part where she says ' Kiss them for me, I may be delayed ' refers to her car accident in which she was killed.
Thanks for comment, i wondered a month ago why she died so young...
Yea. "Kiss them for me" was a film she was in with Cary grant.

criminally overlooked
song and album .
They have never been the darlings of the media, that's for sure and the masses ignore them, they do prefer other legacy bands, but the favorite artists of those masses love them. It's without any doubt better for posterity to be recognized by peers and artists: and on that point, the Banshees have got a very high profile

This short visit to “normal“ pop music was great, it always makes me wonder what other course she (and they as a group) might have taken if they had embraced more poppy stuff before. Who knows - it might have been amazing. They might have taken the New Order route with their own distinctive spin.

Wow! I've never seen Siouxsie looking so "conventional" [but still v- sexy] then realised it was lack of black mascara and more natural looking hairdoo. She's got it no matter what she looks like any way.
I think this is the most beautiful that Siouxsie was seen in ANY of the music videos she was seen in. This was a music video where she was seen with her most 'Natural' face. It is probably in her portrayal of the Jane mansfield character in the music video, where she just was able to naturally portray that character in the visual of the music video.
It's because she got married at that time ))
She upgraded pop music
She looks like a movie goddess from the '40s, very much in line with the lyrics.
She's half French if I remember well and I think she's letting her frenchness come out a bit here. But this single is very mainstream for Siouxsie as well as the looks.
I saw this iconic lady and her band live at Nottingham’s Rock City promoting their Superstition album in the early 1990s where this great song came from. Strange enough, I was watching a RUclips documentary on actress Jayne Mansfield the other night, which this song is dedicated to. Such a tragic end to such a beautiful woman, who could’ve reached her acting potential had it not been the misogyny in the Hollywood movie business back then. She wasn’t a dumb blonde either, as Jayne was relatively well spoken and had a very high IQ of 163.
I was there as well at the same gig!
Surely one of the most underrated albums ever. Classy.
Always original. Unique, talented and beautiful! Love always, Siouxsie.... and the Banshees, too
