@@avidadolares sure, there is still plenty of great music for kids today, but as a tail end millennial I can tell you that things are definitely not as carefree and laid back today, even compared to when I was a child. 9/11 literally changed everything. When I started elementary school the doors were never locked and we could pretty much wonder wherever we wanted at recess. After 9/11 the doors were locked and we were kept much closer to the school for fear of having to evac us if something else happened. We never worried about school shootings, to the point that during hunting season a lot of kids kept their guns in their trucks because they were hunting even before or after school. A lot of us carried pocket knives on us all the time and it was never an issue unless you took it out at school during a time it wasn't appropriate to do so, and even then you went to either the teacher or the office at the end of the day and got it back. To put so much effort into doing this with modern music...it's akin and stinks of the Indie snob claiming "I heard them first and..." at your local starbucks.
This band have a unique sound there is no one like them.
One if not my favorite song from her..... It is groovy beyond words.
She's mystical and haunting, and her voice is addictive.....
I am too old for this, but I really am addicted to her.... She is my drug....
2020 and still one of my favorites to get the day started.
Excellent choice
Can't beat a bit a Siouxsie to get you going in the morning :)
...and end with Spelbound... ideal life...
Won't you come out to play?
2022 not 2020
I've loved this song since I was a teen, especially the grimly beautiful, dark, sick sound to it, it's like dying Autumn leaves wishing well upon the Spring babies?
She is amazing typically right for the 80’s 🥰
Always loved Siouxsie (aka Miss Susan) and her Banshees! A masterpiece of video and music. Cool sound and Venice in 1984! Bought the EP in April 1984 - still have it and it has been played well. Paul was right when he said this was the best cover. Do listen to John's original and smile, together.
I'd just call her Siouxsie.
I love how Robert is in this as a banshee
This is one of the best covers of any song ever.
Siouxsie the original, unique beautiful Bromley girl.
The Bromley posse! I worked in Bromley when I lived in England and I used to daydream about any one of them wandering past the shop I worked in or even coming into it. Fab! 🙂💎
I love the song and I'm a passionate Beatles fan but... this version is superb
I agree!
I'm absolutely the same! I'm a complete Beatles freak, but OMG this version...
Bought the single when it was in the charts. I was eleven - that feels quite impressive now! Lol x
nahhh, I gotta disagree on this take.Too synthpopy, and I love synth pop.
Hi Giulia I think this would be considered the quintessential cover of 'Dear Prudence' and just a great cover of a Beatles song period.I'm a passionate Beatles Fan too-have the remastered boxset.
Agree with the poster. Great tune.
Best cover of a Beatles song.
I love the era with Robert Smith as the guitarist. they're great musicians and they came together and made this!! this is amazing!!
I had a teacher that looked and dressed like her. She was awesome!
@matty bahaha probably
was she prude ?

Thank God we had great artists like this 🌠⚡💫
Still adore this version, so many years later. They did a great job.

Love the mix of darkness and light. I discovered Siuoxie and the banshees thanks to this song and I didn’t know back then that it was a cover. Dark, sexy, talented and super creative. At that time they were from another world to me.
Having a little retro binge on Siouxsie. Excellent nostalgic songs.
This version is so haunting and beautiful. They outdid the Beatles.
only listened to three songs from this band and I'm already entranced. kickass music vids too!
So am I! I've only known the band's name for ages and listened to "Spellbound" a few months ago thanks to a David Bowie's video --> Bauhaus --> Siouxsie and the Banshees. Never too late to discover incredible bands/songs/sounds and I love The Cure, so weird! 🤔🤷🏽♀️😅
Look up the song : "She's Cukoo" up on Spotify if you use it.
My fav Siouxsie hidden gem.
This is a time capsule for me... I literally just burst into tears.
Love² peace justice Tucson Arizona Sonoran desert 🌿
Love you
I don't often prefer covers to originals but, well, here we are...
this is much better than the original !
The original is completely different
An other one is "the man who sold the world " from Bowie and later Nirvana. Both incredible good. But in general you are right.
I was in Minnesota last fall watching the leaves on nice kind drive with beautiful blue sky and perfect sun and this came on and murdered my inner turmoil thanks for making this incredibly beautiful piece of artwork
This is not just a cover of the Beatles, John Lennon's masterpiece, but is a testament to the fact that Siouxsie showed she could OWN THE SONG. IT IS HER SONG.
Just Like Janis Joplin owns Kris Kristoffersons....Bobby McGee
Nah mate pretty sure it’s johns

Easily one of the all time great covers of any song ever.
This song means a lot to me because I listened to it during I time I felt very disconnected from myself, so though it reminds me of that time, it also has a special meaning that makes it better
Ive always thought one of the best Beatles covers ever .....brilliant
watery guitars, reverb up the wazoo, just a wall of ethereal perfection..this is the 80's music that makes me wistful.
You know who the guitarist was?
This band is truly original. I love them
this band brings great memories for me and my brother was alive then and he used to say he didn't like soiuxsie and the banshees but I'd hear him singing their songs when he thought no one was around godbless you soiuxsie
🙏❤
Absolutely LOVE this version. Brilliant!
I always enjoy Bob Smith's appearances in Siouxie videos. ;)
love love love this!!...takes me back to my teens in the extraordinary 80s,....I prefer this cover to the Beatles original.
if you find the time machine call me I ll go with you
xadiko69 wouldn't that be lovely? id go back to the 80s in a heartbeat if I could. ..and yes id pick you up on the way!! ;-p .. great times they were.
Remembering and continue to enjoy this great music it´s what i do to travell in time, just like if was hours ago, dancing with my self and reading from your words what i feel exactly at the same time, it´s good to know every person in the world can enjoy and feel the same things! Saludos desde México. a 48 yrs old kid.

Fiona Cahill bitch !! you are listening the original versión ?? cant find it ?? or you just talking shit ??? however this sounds more digitalized ! but souixie never cant write and play this masterpiece songs and albums like The white álbum ! the beatles are of light years of distance than this band period.
I just recently discovered this band via Johnny Rotten's autobiography, and I have to say, they're pretty amazing. I love how they balance gothic imagery with Siouxsie's whimsical and some times harsh vocals. They sort of remind me of The Cure but on another level. I love this band.♥
They were a huge influence on the Cure, since Robert Smith was the Guitar player in this band for a bit... he's the only one with Black hair in this video
Justin Cook Nice. :o
Justin Cook nope both bands start at the same time, they were friends that's why he played guitar and definitely the cure had their own thing
Justin Cook enjoy it! Excellent music. My favorite song for many, many years. I may be wrong, but this is a Beatles song.
Robert smith was a bashee
My teenage years revisited, I thank you x
the ultimate cover of one of the most underrated Beatles songs
This is the only cover that captures and expands on the feel of the original.
Why does this make me nostalgic even though i just found it lol😭
Was a little guy and the school librarian used to let us watch music videos on a massive old betamax machine in a back room and this had just come out, BOOM, it was like my mind had just exploded, a beautiful lifeline away from the dour mediocrity all around me,I could be my own person and there she was doing it with more artistry and assurance than I was ever told possible. Love and respect Siouxsie Sioux.
My sweet city in this video..
don't care for this much; her pronunciation of the words to the song
Siouxsie Sioux had a historical look. Besides a great singer.
A faithful rendition that still bears Siouxsie's distinctive sonic stamp. One of only a handful of decent Beatles covers. Thanks for posting!
siousxie's voice is so good on this!
Best version of that Beatles song ever!!!! Love it!! ♥️♥️♥️
I love this!!!! A bit better than the Beatles version!!!!!!
It simply gets better with every 'gear change'. Brilliant cover.
I'm a massive Beatles fan, Dear prudence is a favourite song of mine. I don't usually like Beatles covers but this is an exception, I think it's a brilliant cover!
One of the best voices of the era. One of the greatest bands of all time...
Siouxsie and the banshees.....great sound....great track ..and video...it explores and isn't afraid....dear prudence.... Melanie 32 🌈❤️
Best. Beatles. Cover. Ever.
One of the best covers ever . . . much better than the original
Now that’s how you cover a song! They made it their own. I love both songs equally.
Talk about music comes to new usage.
This is great now
L'âge d'or de Siouxsie and the Banshees , magnifiques Gipsies psychedeliques , vous êtes depuis vos débuts et pour toujours dans mon coeur , avec ou sans Robert .
I love her voice
It's so cute seeing Robert Smith tumbling around trying to hug everybody. :D
She captured the soul of the song staying Siouxie .............extraordinary.
Je l'adore, c'est un vrai délice pour l âme
Siouxsie is so beautiful.
i feel like crying and i have goosebumps when i hear this version, superb musicians

Anos 90, baladas sem fim, loucura, curtição, e essa música no rádio do carro. No último volume !!
E o sonho acabou

Even though original version has a special place in my heart, I love this version as much as the original.
Beatles are my fave band and love Dear Prudence. But I also love the 80's and the Banshees cover is sublime. Love it. Video is amazing too
What a stunning goddess Siouxie Is🇬🇧🎨🖌️
