I've improved my cleaning process even further since this, as well as trying a new recorder. I'm still unsure if the new recording setup is ideal or not, but certain aspects definitely seem better. Thankfully, this (like MOST of the Siouxsie and Sisters of Mercy that I got back in 2015 from a DJ's old collection) is very clean vinyl to begin with. My copy of Hyaena is pretty badly scuffed, but it's a promo pressing, so likely one of the very first copies off of the press, and thus closest to the original mastering. Similar issue with my promo copy of Depeche Mode - Some Great Reward (ie: sounds great, but pretty noisy). Sadly, my copy of Erasure - The Innocents, which I picked up due to remembering when you played A Little Respect on the one radio show of yours that I actually managed to catch back in the day and taped, turned out to be a garbage Columbia House pressing. :(
What did you do to the recording? It is far cleaner than I remember this album sounding. Anyway, thanks for uploading it. I can hear the RUclips "swirl" combing. But overall good work.
Damn, excellent channel separation and overall sound quality

@@packgrog I'm 57, so my ears are so-so. But the sounds you're getting off of your vinyl are great.
@@BrettSchuchert time moves fast these days, doesn't it!? How did we get so old!?!?!
