I will never forget this film. It was 1963, 21 years after the film was made that I watched it on a NYC tv station only because my swimming lesson was cancelled at the town pool due to a rainy day. So back at home sad that there would be no swimming that day I went through the tv channels and by accident of bad weather a baseball game was cancelled and the tv station in it's place ran a show called "Rain Out Theater" which aired this movie. This film gave me the creeps as a third grader and still does I hope that better pre-print material for this film can be found some day so we can get better sound and picture. I think of the Bela Lugosi film, White Zombie which recently was scanned from a pristine print in HD which is breath taking in quality. One can only hope.

So enjoy these wonderful old movies. Lugosi is always a good actor. Nice to see these old cars, they all had class, the crash, roll and it seems like everyone ealks away!

Must be the 5th time I've watched this film. But then I have been watching all my favorites multiple times.
It's not snowing like the rest of the country but a cold wet night is just the right setting to invite Bela back into my bedroom, as long as he stays on the other side of the room of course.

Yes, J. Carroll Nash used to play Topper unless I'm wrong. Frank Morgan was the wizard in the Wizard of Oz but it was weird.

Actually no it was not a good movie back then either but bela lugosi had trouble getting roles in big movies so in 1940s he did alot of b movies

Just remember everything was new back then. Story lines, plots would have been more exciting and scary-weird. My parents were 18 years old then, just graduated high school and then dad was off to the Navy and WWII. My mom often talked about movies and entertainment back then. All was so new and exciting to them!
