    Interesting how Shad's scythe was purely a cutting weapon, Nate's flail was purely blunt force, and Tyranth's club was a mix of both.

    • @Project129
      @Project129 11 месяцев назад +60

      Honestly, Shad’s can be both. If he held it reversed it would act like a Goedendag. Would almost suggest that as the main use against foes and use the saw blade as a tool for post-fight dismemberment.

      yes true but i would also like to point out that Tyranths weapon is not the best at either . so which is more important? do u need both blunt and sharp? or do u want a specialized weapon that can do one thing really well? as good as the flail is i would pick the saw on stick cause zombies are very unpredictable and keeping distance while dealing damage is very important so i think the saw stick wins

    Interesting side note; there's this idea in the zombie apocalypse subgenre that silent weapons are the best because there are *always* more zombies and you don't want to alert the hoard. Taking that into account, the saw-club has a rather unique drawback, given that the blades can ring loud enough to hurt the user's ears.

    With Shads I would suggest mounting so the "shtick" runs along the backbone of the blade with a blade in reverse too.
    Nate needs to make a flail like a whip with multiple small chains and a longer handle.
    Tyranth should add more blades and an end spike.

    Shad has EXACTLY recreated my favorite pruning saw, complete with the forward lean, long blade, and grabbing hook.

    "Hard to control", that's why flails used in war were primarily built for two hands over one; more control and easier for it to reach over shields, which is the flails big strength.

    • @JD-128
      @JD-128 10 месяцев назад +1

      It would be less, I feel. The longer the handle, the more torque the heavy end exerts on the user, meaning less control and less acceleration for the same amount of muscle put into moving it. You saw the difficulty of supporting it from the light end with the short handle; that difficulty is multiplied with length.
