    Finally I understand the use of the little lever @ 24:50 on the battery tray! That lever is absent on the 3s granite and big rock, but they left it on the 4s Mojave. Only the Mojave chasssis is much longer, and so that lever is nowhere near the power module. As an engineer, the existance of that little lever on the 4s Mojave hurt my brain. Now I understand it's purpose in the shorter wheelbase chassis and that it is simply a carryover artifact. Because of your video, I will be able to sleep tonight! Lol! 😂

    Thank you. Very helpful video. I have the clicking when accelerating.
    I'm a big old noob, so i bought both F and R diffs, because since they're plastic, i imagine both will eventually break.
    I've never torn down my Granite before, and i see I'll need a longer 2mm hex for the drive shaft removal. D'oh!
    My diffs arrive in 9 days, so I'll have to get a driver with a long thin nose before then.

    Hello , back k to RC after a hiatus of life 😂. They’re so much better now , drones too , I only have a few of each , 3 , but they’re fun for me . A 1/16 hbx 16980sa has proven to be the car that got me to get a arrma Kraton 6s and rlaarlo cf onmi terminator . Today , after 5 days my Kraton 6s went weird and started restarting itself after it sat motionless while on , controller was left on as well . Had to abandon for a phone call and it was like 20 ft away so I couldn’t hear it until afterwards walking closer . I thought I needed a new servo because it would not power on normally with the sounds . It would make it half way through when it got to steering it wouldn’t finish the beeps . The servo ,str, needed unplugged for a couple seconds and now it fires up like it always has for 5 days . I wonder what caused it to lose the i itial connection and if it will happen next time I take it for a ride ? If anyone knows what causes this thanks . I do like it .mid like to be prepared so I ordered a better servo ( according to reviews ) .

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  4 месяца назад +2

      I’ve had that happen before, and it kept randomly not working, and inevitably ended up being the servo

    • @Hungrybird474
      @Hungrybird474 5 дней назад

      Yeah . That k6s has been a really fun truck . As long as it lands on four wheels I’m guessing . I thought I would have broke something more but I ve been kcrc ramping it and the granite 6-10’ high and got them landing nice. That rlaarlo is like a China junker now compared to the arrmas speed and performance on short grass . Maybe if it was larger . It does handle really good on pavement and zippy . 4.3” tall tire’s made a huge difference in short grass . Switching back next time . Sometimes when I make a change I have to go back to stock to make sure it’s better 😂

    Good Sir thanks so much for this video! As a beginner in rc I find this super helpful, got an Arrma granite around 20days ago and already stripped the rear input gear lol. I ordered the metal ones from Arrma and I lowered the ESC punch to 2. I think I should learn to drive before I do crazy stunts so my drivetrain lasts longer 😅 I have a question about the shimming on both diffs. I ordered the same that you have “ARA210007” how to tell if I need to shim or no? That’s the only thing that scares me about the installation on diffs. Anyway thanks a lot for the tutorial, I’m saving this to my rc playlist I subscribed to your channel :D

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  8 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks for the sub buddy normally I only shim the 6s diffs and when the differential is sitting in the housing, if there is play from side to side, when it’s fully seated, you know you need to shim it

    Very cool .. I need to bust mine open. Thought you might cut the relief hole for the spur gear while ya were in there and had the motor out. Should eliminate all the dirt that piles up?

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  9 месяцев назад +1

      I don’t believe in doing that at least where I run because too much dust in fine dirt especially at the motocross track piles up in there and eats up the gears

    On 3s lineup those screws that hold the differential output axles that are IN THE axle that is on the differential and idk how the hell do I reach those? You will have to buy a thin screwdriver I think or is there another way please? Screwdrivers are not cheap that I want and I’m scared to strip them out, I’m thinking to buy wera hex ones because they have an anti strip anti slip feature which is w cool. Help on how to get those screws another way.
