I've got over 2,000 Hrs on Witcher 3 and i can't remember how many times ive spent going through the story to the point i can finish the whole game in couple hrs
Have they fixes all the flickering textures and clouds in Toussaint? I got a few quests into BAW but then I stopped because of the issues, it's such a beautiful location and it's just a shame its so glitchy on the PS5 right now. I hope they fix it in a future patch.

Started the blood and wine storyline recently and I too noticed the clouds were flickering I wonder how long this has been going on ? And when are they going to fix it since it’s distracting specially if your horse riding
I played witcher3 mostly on the switch up until I got a series x and bought a discounted base game plus expansion pack (separately). I was happy I could play it again and continue into blood and wine but on 60fps. However, even if I have transfered the save file from switch to xbox sx, it says I’m missing a dlc contents like hair styles, missions, and other stuff… i hope I can solve this without buying the GOTY edition, any help is appreciated! Thanks
Isn't the whole point of HDR that the game just sends some data to the display and that the display will figure out how to display it properly? HDR metadata it's called. I don't know why you would need HDR calibration, but okay.
Mods need to be updated first, but you can reroll from gog when you go into extras then scroll down for different versions. I don't know if it's possible on steam and the rest of platforms though
I tried verifying game files after installing the new amd driver on a 5700 and now get a black screen with the start button faded on screen :( sad times . I will try after the after if it works I’m not …..😢

I just started playing Witcher on my Switch and was sad because it wasn’t as updated as on my PS4 so I’m SO happy this came right after I started a new playthrough

And the horse very irritated but overall is ok . Maybe i need to play witcher 1 and 2 before play part 3 . Just my opinion
Funny I have no new HDR option after update on PC its just not there... Also a shit ton of bugs are still present, visual ghosting trails when you move with RT on but more noticable in darker areas, shadows and lighting is still a mess and flickers with RT on, light/sunlight I guess glitches in caves and leaves dark orange lights in random spots where outside light shouldnt be or in corners and on webs, not purple anymore just randomly orange in some areas, dlss makes geralt look fuzzy in menu, and many more!!! lol
I wish they upgrade DX12 rendering stack. It's silly that Cyberpunk with much better RT is less demanding than Witcher 3 just because they use simple wrapper mechanics over DX11 engine. Console versions had decent upgrade on the other hand. PC is left with poor CPU performance and bottlenecks.
Why cant they just fix the damn sharpening option ? Its been bugged since the stupid update ,Im so pissed and frustrated with this whole thing ,why cant they just give us content without hurting the performance ? At least give us a fkin option to choose

they removed it for next gen (makes literally zero sense but here we are) but with patch 4.04 it has been added back in, however the effect is now almost imperceptible it may as well not be there.
For some reason, all sounds of nature are missing in my nintendo switch version. Animal/monster/humans sounds are all there, Geralt’s too. Ambient music works too, but damn… I can hear switchs little fan working while playing the game :D

There's still a host of glitches & bugs, surprisingly but unsurprisingly. Birds don't work right and the north Velen merchant didn't work after the patch but was selling before. Nonetheless, this game rules & CDPR continues to be user focused.
The best version is the 1.32 classic version, after trying the next gen patch I couldn't stand the glitches, bugs and performance loss. Just use 1.32 with mods and that's all you need.

When your in Toussaint and just before you meet Anna Henrietta, in the arena where you battle the Shaelmaar, you can't hear the audience in the arena cheering. The same issue also happens when you do the Warble Of A Smitten Knight quest where you help Vivienne break the curse that's causing her to transform into a bird. During the tourney parts of that quest, you can't hear the audience sound.
Already have Bugs on Nintendo Switch. Weather Sound Effects are non-existent. No wind or trees or rain sounds. That gives the game ambience for making it feel more alive. Who approves the updates before testing? Some employee should have tested this... Wth goes on in these companies. Other than that the game actually looks and feel better. Docked at least.
Well they did one bad thing in this patch. From this update onwards, if you tap the radial button (Tab for pc) , the game will no longer get paused. So, holding the radial button and toggling it is the same thing
HDR Calibration ftw! I love new settings options in general. Gonna look awesome on my OLED TV on PC. Been waiting for this since the next-gen update first released.
If you are on Windows 11 and calibrated with the HDR app and HGIG on. It should already be accurate. After 4.04 update, I checked the new HDR setting, and my sliders were already set perfectly.
@@supermanlift I'm on Windows 10. Haven't bothered upgrading to 11 yet. The default in game HDR sliders were set to 900 Peak Brightness and 300 Paper White. I set it to 1000 Peak Brightness and 500 Paper White and now it looks much more like what I'd expect of a perfect HDR picture. I'm using the LG C2 48".
@FuZzOtagE If anything is crushed, it's on your end. HDR is meant to be a straight upgrade on every level. Standard image vs. HDR looks flat and dim by comparison. The HDR image pops out of the screen. There's no way I'd be playing with HDR off when I have an OLED HDR display.
These developers need to find a way to patch without killing mods in the process. it's frustrating to have to have a freaking PHD just to get mods to work after every damn patch

STILL horribly blurring characters in dialogue scenes on ps5(said they fixed it two patches ago) and also constantly flickering clouds in Toussaint. Both issues only on ps5 and pretty damn hard to ignore and enjoy the same still…finally just bought the game again on series x and transferred saves so I can actually enjoy it
When you connect to gog I think its going to sync across all platforms where you have the game, but of course on every platform you have to connect to that gog account for sync to happen.
@@nooux1966 CP2077 runs for me much better than this remaster. It actually uses my hardware more efficiently unlike TW3 that has 20-40% CPU API overhead that you have to brute force due to the laziness of the devs.
@@lias1906 In the current build only by upgrading your CPU on the DX12 version of the game. If you compare the DX11 version of the remaster to the DX12 version at the same settings the DX12 version will use more of the CPU for the same rendering workload causing a CPU bottleneck in DX12 when raytracing is turned on even on the best CPUs on the market.

the game still look like arse by a large margin when compared to witcher 3 1.3.2 with 80 mods. i updated my modded 1.3.2 to next gen 4.04 thinking it will look good now, by my surprise it still sh1t, so i went back again to 1.3.2 and mod the hell out of it again which took me a damn whole day, much better than stup1d ray tracing and blurry sh1t dlss super resolution and frame gen and direct x 12 they throw at next gen. for people who too lazy to mod 1.3.2, go do it, its not that hard at all, but do it manually + script merger manually as well if there are conflicts that cant be solved by the app. if too lazy might as well go play in consoles. pathetic af.

Just experienced an issue 2 hours ago where Geralt won't respond to controls after hitting the water. Diving and surfacing works but not directional commands.

Yes you can turn off fish eye effect now under options > gameplay > Witcher senses "fish eye" effect. When it comes to Geralts camera, you can toggle the original more zoomed out one if you were referring to that
i don't like this patch, my settings that i entered in input settings are being deleted, i haven't found the solution for this yet, help me or i will have to uninstall this game, this update was not needed, i can't downgrade before, steam won't allow it :((
Just log into gog on both platforms and thats it. When I did it, it just synced the save on both so when you go into your saves they should be the same.
@@LastKnownMeal still has problems when transfering my switch save file to ps5, but no problems when using my ps5 save file to nintendo switch. I need my switch save file coz my equips there are all max already.
There are still glitches in RT reflections. The purple windows were 'fixed,' but now have no RT reflections at all. I've seen the odd CTD when loading save games and into new areas.....I've given up on them ever having this next gen update right.
I can't tell if you are on PC, but if so, have you gone back to 1.32? I am starting to think that a modded version of 1.32 will be superior to this update, as next gen has introduced so many issues on both the DX11 version and the fake DX12 version...
Am I the only one having a consistent crashing issue on this update? I even had cdpr send me an email telling me what to do to fix these issues and none of them work I’m about to give up on this game even tho I want to play sooooo badly
Did you have any mods maybe prior to updating? If you havent already remove the entire main folder (backup saves even though its not in the same folder but just in case) and see maybe that fixes it.
i cant play the new update with 1 mod, I only have the "Gear Level Scaling for Next Gen" mod and now i cant play, i can without the mod but I want to use the mod

same issues here. The ghosting trails in dark areas made me crazy,thought my GPU was broken 😅

Characters are still slightly blurry during cutscenes on PS5. This NEEDS to be fixed, because this bug kills my immersion.

When in toussaint I noticed the sky is flickering for me I can’t tell if it was there before or if some of the recent patches brought this glitch on

Strangely, I got around a 13% increase on this patch. Runs at 75fps @ 4K on my 3080 now. Before that I had dips into the mid to high 50’s.
With RTX on? Or no?

RT on PS5 still runs like garbage. The Performance mode still looks far better.
I prioritize framerate on almost every game I play but i love RT on the witcher, the old Gen version ran worse anyway

the game still look like arse by a large margin when compared to witcher 3 1.3.2 with 80 mods.
i updated my modded 1.3.2 to next gen 4.04 thinking it will look good now, by my surprise it still sh1t, so i went back again to 1.3.2 and mod the hell out of it again which took me a damn whole day, much better than stup1d ray tracing and blurry sh1t dlss super resolution and frame gen and direct x 12 they throw at next gen.
for people who too lazy to mod 1.3.2, go do it, its not that hard at all, but do it manually + script merger manually as well if there are conflicts that cant be solved by the app. if too lazy might as well go play in consoles. pathetic af.

Just experienced an issue 2 hours ago where Geralt won't respond to controls after hitting the water. Diving and surfacing works but not directional commands.

What about the top notch swords? The special Witcher swords no longer upgrade when I talk to him and he went back to saying “welcome welcome”, what’s up with that? Is it just me?

Yes you can turn off fish eye effect now under options > gameplay > Witcher senses "fish eye" effect. When it comes to Geralts camera, you can toggle the original more zoomed out one if you were referring to that

Yeah, you connect to gog on all platforms you play on, it syncs itself and that's pretty much it

Started the next gen verdion a few days befor ethe update. For me this update just brought a lot of veggie popups and sky clipping....
Does the 4.04 update fix the tree texture from far distance? Especially when you are in a boat
But that's just the limitations of the game engine. It's as good as it's gonna get.

Just log into gog on both platforms and thats it. When I did it, it just synced the save on both so when you go into your saves they should be the same.

There are still glitches in RT reflections. The purple windows were 'fixed,' but now have no RT reflections at all. I've seen the odd CTD when loading save games and into new areas.....I've given up on them ever having this next gen update right.
I can't tell if you are on PC, but if so, have you gone back to 1.32?
I am starting to think that a modded version of 1.32 will be superior to this update, as next gen has introduced so many issues on both the DX11 version and the fake DX12 version...
Maybe they shoulda made the next gen changes themselves instead of taking existing mods and putting them into the game without testing them properly

Am I the only one having a consistent crashing issue on this update? I even had cdpr send me an email telling me what to do to fix these issues and none of them work I’m about to give up on this game even tho I want to play sooooo badly
Did you have any mods maybe prior to updating? If you havent already remove the entire main folder (backup saves even though its not in the same folder but just in case) and see maybe that fixes it.
