    Snipers have either the best or worst positioning in thegame. No in between. They are either taking pot shot from across a chasm, through a railing ,at and angle that would make a R6 siege player envious, or you turn the corner and they are standing right there with their back to you. I do like how their AI tries to "stalk" your party instead of rushing like every other special

    Crushers and Maulers need to be S tier for the simple reason that if you get hit by their overhead smash it will one shot you on Highest difficulty. When you get a group of them it only takes one failed dodge and you are in the dirt. Arguably my biggest headache has been the trappers pulling me into a horde or fire. It's so rough.

    • @SuperCatacata
      @SuperCatacata 7 месяцев назад +1

      Disagree simply by the fact that they must be point-blank to hit you, unlike disablers or snipers. And they also have the slowest and most telegraphed attacks in the game.
      If you get hit by that then that's more of a player issue than anything.
      It's much more understandable to get hit by a dog jumping from 20 feet away thru horde or a trapper than it is to get hit by those guys who need to be right on top of you to do damage.

      @@SuperCatacata What is the cue for a Chaos Warrior/Crusher attack? My problem with Crushers (and CWs in Vermintide) is that when I face them and they go for that massive overhead critical, they also keep charging forward and turning during the wind up. So I dodge once, twice, three times, run out of dodges and then die horribly. Can't figure out how I can tell they will actually attack.

    Slight disagree on the hounds; automatic weapon fire can stagger them pretty easy, so an autogun/Stubber/etc. can handle them ok, long as you can maintain accuracy.

    For me the S tier enemies would be first of all Bombers because they are the reason why your team fails the level they don't kill you all the time but if unchecked they will turn a defensible position into a killing ground. They are harder to kill when they are on higher ground specially on places where you can't traverse. Followed by trappers and flamers. They don't kill you but what makes them dangerous is once you get caught off guard you are dead. Yes they are easy to kill but when all of you are busy with the walkers/bullwarks/other specials these 3 can turn the tide. I always prioritize killing them on auric maelstrom/damnation

    • @RichardDangles
      @RichardDangles  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I agree on bombers, they tend to not really kill you directly, but force you into indefensible positions which ultimately is why they're such a pain in the ass.

    A tip for those having trouble with hounds and mutants the AI for the latter “Lock on” to a specific player when spawned (and will ignore others that are closer) and hounds have a VERY easy to notice wind up animation once you start to notice it that only starts when they have a clear line to their target, imagine a trappers gun sound but dodge when the hounds running sound cuts right before it’s pounce sound, another thing to do if your a Psyker is pack Smite and lightning staff so you can cc hordes with Smite and pick off lone Elites and Specials with the staff.

  • @Nugire
    @Nugire 4 месяца назад

    I agree with you list, though i would have placed the crusher in A tier for the combination of armour, health and damage they deal.
    2 things though:
    - I find dreg gunners more dangerous, since the scab gunners are easies to spot (green light + laser tracers).
    Scab gunners blend in way better. Also, the dreg gunner can actually melee with his bayonet.
    The dreg shotgunner is also a bit more dangerous that the scab, simply because of the bayonett he has. It means he never changes his weapon, so if you want to force him into melee, he still might shoot you.
    This is annoying as an Ogryn with a slab shield, since with the right skill you can force all shooters + the scab shotgunner to take out their melee.

    • @RichardDangles
      @RichardDangles  7 месяцев назад +1

      Most of my experience comes from Heresy and damnation. Playing with a full party of friends most specials/elites aren't too bad since coordination is so strong. I could see on a auric maulers/crushers being much more threatening especially when playing with pubs.

  • @GabrieltheDevil
    @GabrieltheDevil 7 месяцев назад +2

    I'm thinking the Crusher should be S tier. Fighting more than 6 or so at once in Damnation basically forces you to kite back, which especially in pubs, is not a skill that a lot of players learn until they are more experienced. Their overhead is devastating, which you covered, but they also move considerably faster than Maulers while doing their overhead. That, on top of being generally survivable as fuck due to having all Carapace Armor and a large HP pool makes them terrifying.

    • @RichardDangles
      @RichardDangles  7 месяцев назад

      I could see that. I haven't played a ton of auric/maelstrom, but on damnation they definitely seem to get to me more of a pain in the ass.

    • @SuperCatacata
      @SuperCatacata 7 месяцев назад

      The amount of rending/brittleness every class has access to now makes crushers a complete non-issue IMO. Vet can even oneshot them with a freaking revolver now lmao. You have much bigger things to worry about in an auric game than giant targets that can't hit you without you messing up very badly.

  • @last2nkow
    @last2nkow 7 месяцев назад +2

    I tend to group them by enemy type to work out my priority targets.
    Gunners - ranged weapon single target weapon units including the heavy stubber ogryn
    Disablers -anything that you need a second player to save you from being pinned by,
    Area denial -anything that makes area attacks that make areas damaging to stand in,
    Punchers -generally high damaging melee enemies that are not ogryns.
    Big bois- chaos ogryns except the heavy stubber dude.
    Not in that order, but then each unit in each is set in a tier list as well if there are two of the same type of threat.
    Bur for targeting in practice any list like this is relet8ve tot he situation.
    2 big walls of gunners is either the biggest threat to the team or around the corner and basically irrelevant to the two mailers and a flamer in the middle of this horde we are stuck in.
    You want to get to the bomber but if Pete the psycker isn't saved from that hound sitting on his chest we are a man down until we can save him.

    Mutants should be ranked at least at B tier for one reason: They are the reason people have "Maniac" as a bonus damage stat on their weapons. In other words, Mutants are a "nuisance" because you specifically take damage bonuses to deal with them.
