Love when the squad critizice or roasts one of the Inquisitor's crew and they say "This is an open radio channel."
@@Briselance well they are inquisitors are they?
@@Ring_student_yin_sang Aye. The squads are in Inquisitorial service, indeed. So they are at least a bit like inquisitors themselves.
@@Briselance yeah youre right
Well, they are Inquisitorial TROOPS, so working under ORDERS from inquisition. Given that they are also criminals, it's basically a "Prove your worth" scenario where they are expected to die, but maybe, (reaching rank 30), you are THEN given a job by the inquisition. So yeah, it's more of a gallows humour I think.
@@Ring_student_yin_sang I mean why should the inquisitors bother blamming if hte rejects are already on a suicide mission you know?

Hadron when in comm vox: insulting, sassing, V A R L E T S
Hadron when you speak to her in-person: polite, bless you and your weapons (mostly your weapons), significantly less varlets
Hadron is a certified introvert.
Are introverts insulting and mean sassing like that in public? If so, not a wonder that does a number on their popularity, even on a basic level.
@@Briselance Pretty sure the OP means this the other way around. Loud and willing to talk shit on the internet (IE the vox), subdued and restrained in person.
Also "not a wonder that does a number on their popularity" what does this. like... mean?
If youre basing your perception od introverts on a RUclips comment, maybe you should get out and meet more people. Just sayin' :D
@@Briselance You sound like you've got a problem.
I think what is meant is like what you guys are saying. You guys talk shit on the internet, but when meeting person-2-person. You guys are more subdued. So stop acting tough on the internet like what you guys are already doing.

I think the most impressive thing about Hadron is that they simultaneously portrayed her sass while also portraying her robotic nature. She’s not so robotic as to be lacking character, but she’s just enough to make her seem not quite human at the same time.
I love the line and am waiting to hear it ingame where she talks about being 392 years old, and angry for most of them.

Her sass? Well... most of the time, isn't she just putting the team down and being wantonly mean?
Always calling them varlets, or implying they are stupid or unduly slow while they are busy fighting off hordes.
The only time she isn't like that is when you go and find her at her workshop to have your armament improved.

“Use magic box to make place go boom” is probably the greatest mission briefing line ever.
Blood Dragon also has some good ones. One of my favorites is something like "Save a bunch of nerds. Do you care why?"
That's all the Ogryn squad needs
I had to Google what "Varlet" meant, it is shockingly less insulting than I thought it was.
I think that means she likes me
Same
I thought it meant "criminal" or something similar. Nope.
@@KillerOrca it really means servant so, yay I guess?
I'd assumed it was some sort of small rodent, like a hamster, weasel or lemming.
I think shes trying to be insulting as much as a tech-priest will allow. Every time she says 'Varlets' Like its synonymous with 'Idiot'.
I love how the characters will just start talking shit about her and she'll randomly chime in and basically say "I can hear you, varlets."
Zealot: "🅱LOOD FOR THE EMPEROR! SKULLS FOR THE GOLDEN THRONE!💯"
techpriestess: "ogryn please administer percussive maintenance to your noisy teammate"
"Take magic box from pocket. Point it at things until it goes green."
How to talk to an ogryn without giving them a brain aneurysm
My favourite one of Hadron's lines is when a PC asks to know more about her and she responds with being active for over 300 years and spending most of it angry. Can't recall the specifics right now, but every time it comes up, I laugh.
More specifically, this is her response to the PCs asking about her:
Hadron: [sigh] "So be it. I have been operative for 392.1736 Terran cycles. I have been angry for most of them."
I like her and the medical servitor. Which in turn is sad that the characters with the least human feelings/emotions according to lore are the most emotional and likable characters in the game.
Hadron is more likeable then the human NPCs by insulting you constantly.
Makes sense in terms of 40k since the Humans tend to be complete assholes to each other so I dont understand your point
Warhammer books do such a fascinating job at making the NECRONS more philosphically and morally complex than anyone expected, and they literally don't have souls. It's so beautiful.
@Wonders The point is that Hadron and the medicae Servitor are one of the few characters in the game that showcases more emotions than just being a typical asshole for the sake of the setting.
Funny enough the humies in 40k tend to be less humie than other creatures
There's a reason why the guardsmen and even some sisters of battle tend to like working with the Mechanicus, there's even some stories of Skiitari falling in love (actual love) with guardsmen
Hadron saying she wants to upgrade you is actually a compliment as she sees that you could be more and not just a waste of space
To the AdMech, augmentations are a reward for valiant service or achievements. So, offering to augment you is probably the nicest thing she'll ever do for you.
I love that the entire time you can hear her thinking "oh sky toaster, what I wouldn't give for some Skitarii right now".

@@SeventhSeraphOfficerRevolver No, she's specifically invoking the Emperor and the Golden Throne. There's a very thin line between practices of heresy and faith, which is intentional on the part of 40K. The only _real_ difference is who you commit those acts for.
Yeah.... I think a certain someone on a different throne approves a lot....😅
I read Hadron as Hardon for a while, thinking her name was a pun, plus everyone loves the tech mommy
To be fair, if she's really human, and given her sass, she definitely wrote the latter way more times than she bothered counting.
Her name comes from the Hadron Collider, the largest particle accelerator in the world.
Not everyone, actually.
Hard-on Omega, missread of course, but 200h in, she is still Hard-on for me.
Despite being the least human mission leader we have, when speaking to her in person she's usually very encouraging.
She recommended your execution seconds after meeting you.
The little "look! i did it!" head nod at 2:58 is great
I was kinda dissapointed when there wasn´t a "Varlets, have you tried the sacred rite of turning it off and on again?" in the game (I know she has a similar one, but still)
3:36 "your repeated failure is making me....testy."
I don't know why that line is so cute to me
My favorite conversation is when the Ogryn starts talking about how he thinks she's listening in on his conversations and she pipes up with a, "No I'm not, don't be ridiculous. "
I wasn’t too much of a fan of Hadron until she said the line after you leave her forge (usually after you do an upgrade) “Go, we both know you will return”. She’s often robotic but she is still capable of an astounding range of emotions for a tech priest of her age and rank. She’s impatient, condescending, sassy, and hot headed but she does seem to genuinely care about the rejects.
In my personal headcanon corner of the 40K universe, those sometimes-eccentric Tech-priests who deliberately take positions interacting with the meatbags (wrong franchise I know) sometimes maintain more social skills and emotional range not just because it suits them but because from a pragmatic standpoint it genuinely is more efficient to be understood and not start fights with people it’s a waste of energy to fight with. These same Tech-priests, however, tend to annoy their more purely mechanical-minded brethren.
(I have one who was downright *friendly*, and this got him yeeted off to a Rogue Trader’s ship so more typical Tech-priests don’t have to deal with his annoying antics like smiling, laughing, occasionally deigning to eat and drink, and Omnissiah forbid…*small talk*. Of course, this obviously works out for the Lord Trader and his crew to have a Magos-Explorator with them that they can actually get along with and like, so it’s a win-win.)
@@nerysghemor5781returning back to this with the newer missions, Hadron interacts with an enginseer in guiding you to stop the stim production and she seems to be genuinely irritated with his completely out of touch ramblings. She is gentle with him but also continues to nudge him basically saying “dude, chill, gotta focus on the mission at hand.”
So, for those that don't know, 'Artificer' is a rank within the British Military in regards to the repair and maintenance of 'small arms' which includes the autocannons of jets and shit. It's a step up from Armourer which deals only with guns if I remember correctly.

Well she aint exactly got a lot of competition does she?
Bodyguard ogryn is best boi.
Hadron knows how to keep the attention of others in distracting combat. Folks tend to focus on the insulting while comforting words offset a person's mood and sets them up for failure due to a lowered guard and combat efficiency, sometimes confusion. Only when duty ends do you get to embrace the tranquility of victory through a moment's respite
Wondering if we'd ever get a skiitari class of sorts.
A failed Mechanicus thrall of some sort would be a great future reject. Scooped up by the Inquisition just before they are rendered into a Servitor. Either a Skitarus or an entry-level tech priest. Heck, I'd even take life as an Electro-Priest even if that would be some overlap with the Preacher. There's a lot of potential there.

She's like the anouncer from tf2 with extra sass
Another good line is when you're leaving her forge sometimes she'll tell you don't hurry back.
