In this episode of Shaping Your Journey, my special guest John Beck talks about his journey growing up in a small town in the US and playing drumset in local bands and then discovering his passion for percussion. Following his studies with William Street and getting his Bachelor's degree, he performed in The President's Men Band and then became the long-term chair of percussion at Eastman School of Music. His students include Steve Gadd, Leigh Stevens and many others.
