There is some good stuff in the covered market most years but I do most of my present shopping in the covered market. Good for gifts and for food. Check it out the next time you're in Oxford.

Excellent video as ever there's so much more to see in Oxford you will need a few more weekends to see it especially on the outskirts Blenheim palace Woodstock and a gondola ride is good a good one is Morse Lewis and endeavour tours and a good look around the university campuses

Did you make it to the indoor market? I've been going to Oxford for years (my brother lived there), we hardly ever went into Oxford. But last time I was home, I took hubby, and we discovered the indoor market, it was a foodie HEAVEN!!! Pre-covid, hope it's still as amazing.
My lovely home town , always amazes me that I’ve got all of that on my doorstep but never really appreciate it as much as I should . Great video 👍🏻
Loved the video, glad you enjoyed your trip to my home town. I live only a few minutes walk from the city centre & it’s still enjoyable to walk everyday into central Oxford & enjoy the architecture, some of the new buildings don’t seem to fit in with the style but I guess that’s “progress”. As other people have said there really is a great deal more to Oxford & it’s surrounding area.

Easy Hotels, with those colours look like owned by Easy Jet. I've often wondered how "Morse" and "Endeavour" ever managed to get filmed as back then would have been heaving with tourists. TV production companies do not have the budgets that film companies do to employ staff to keep the crowds away.
Things are filmed in Oxford all the time. They just fence off a section with traffic cones and maybe some metal fencing. I saw some of Harry Potter, Morse and a Bollywood film in progress when I lived there (which was over 15 years ago, but there were many tourists then too).
Are your parents still here and are they enjoying they visit with the weather as its summertime in oz

I stayed in the Easy Hotel in Birmingham city centre, my brothers choice, I would never stay in another, rabbit hutches with no facilities, I would much rather pay a lot more for a decent hotel with proper facilities.
