I'm enjoying my z fold 3 in 2023. No issues at all and definitely don't see any reason to upgrade. Once Samsung integrates the S pen and makes the outter screen noticeably wider then I'll upgrade. Flagship cameras would be nice too.
Just bought an unlocked Z Fold3 with 512gb on swappa for $401. Ill rock it for a while but im keeping my S22 Ultra also. Probably will trade one of if them in for the S24 Ultra. I want to try the fold form without dropping $1800 for a new fold.
I had the 3 from launch and it was okay but the jump to the 4 is absolutely worth it just for the battery life and cameras alone. Definitely worth the extra money.
@autumnsfunworld9622 personally recommended buying the Pixel Fold over the 3. Unless you don’t like the Pixel Folds form factor, also you get over the bezels.
Using my fold 2 and yeah water resistance would be nice but I'm a heavy battery consumer. If I needed to upgrade I would go with a non Samsung brand and go for the Honor Magic V2.
My galaxy z fold3 was damaged in less than a year. The place where it folds cracked and made glass breaking sounds when I opened it and closed it. It was bad.
I am really sad to state that I really regret buying so called iconic model Galaxy Z fold3 at a whooping price of INR 1.5 Lac at the time of launch in Sept 2021. People recommended picking up an iPhone instead which I regret now. One fine day last year your iconic phone stopped working, first the flip screen went blank and slowly the other side also died one day. I am in Nepal, Kathmandu and there is no way I can do anything with the phone. I tried connecting with their service station here in Kathmandu but no solution. Solid waste of hard earned money.
Got my fold 3 refurbished for around 650$ plus 50$ tax for california. While I love it I agree, battery is ass. Also have a 1 year warranty for it so lets hope it lasts.
I think this is a great secondary phone, but if you work anywhere but an office you should have a second phone. I daily drive the S22 Ultra, I tried to use the F3 at work and within two months the inner screen broke and had to be repaired, which is when I got the S22U. I love this phone but until they make dust resistant foldeables I won't get another one. I also had the first gen Flip and that broke within 2 months as well.
When SAMSUNG upgrades the z fold to a BIGGER SCREEN & add the pen inside it I will buy it again..it's a Awesome Smart Phone I Prefer Android it's easier to operate Don't like the inside screen the middle can go Bad but get insurance it helps replace it. Good luck getting your own Samsung ZFold.
I really like my Flip 3. Mostly because of how much less pocket space it takes and how solid it feels in my pocket. On my contract I'll be returning my Flip 3 to my carrier soon. And I plan on buying either a used Fold3 with 512gb of storage or a used flip4 with 512gb of storage. I always kinda wanted the fold because the idea of having a small tablet with me at all times does sound interesting. But the narrow outer screen does seem less appealing. and the appeal of reduced pocket space will be entirely gone... But.... Thinking I will try a fold this time around.
I'm not too worried about lots of features and state of the art cameras etc. I want something bigger to take the strain off my eyes that doesn't feel like lugging a tablet around. Bonus if it doesn't keep lagging and crashing like my current phone lol. I'm easily pleased! I also need something affordable, so a refurbished older model of something works well for me. I may buy, so thanks!

It was an excuse to buy a fold 4 but to be honest there is no diference between the fold 3 and 4 to me because I always have it open. I think people would use the fold way more than they ever would a tablet plus making it a desktop means that I got a beast of a phone as a portable desktop device even though the front screen is cracked. If I coul do it again i likely would dnot have bought the 4 and just rocked the fold 3 with broken outer screen. Its a beast of a phone that makes buying a candybar seem lame lol
Hey, keep up the good videos. I have a zfold 3 in great condition, my question... do you think it's worth upgrading to the zfold 4 since I can't afford a zfold5 or is it best to wait for the zflold6? I'm asking because the 5 is basically an updated 4 with more upgrades coming or should I just wait for the z fold 6?
Hoping by the 6 they either make the outside screen bigger and better, or introduce an ultra model. This thin screen is beat by literally every other company that does folds.
The subtle wider outer screen coming from the fold 3 to fold 4 was a big uograde to me. Still great for one handed use. I just wish Samsung would go back to their roots and put the s pen inside the phone and make the front screen more wider. I'm excited about the one plus fold though.
Whoever purchased a 3 I've got some bad news for you.... I purchased mines 2 years ago. After a year and a half a "black line of death" appeared on the main fold screen and made the right handside unresponsive. I spent 1.3k on this phone 😢 went back to samsung and they said to refurbish and fix the phone it'll cost you 600 pounds! Which is abit pricey i asked how much will they buy my phone for in the condition its in they offered £20 at this point I was fuming but more gutted than ever. Maybe the damage happened due to the phone dropping or maybe its just a common error? I don't know just thought I'd share with you all!
Indeed at $450-$500, it is the perfect opportunity to test a Fold and find out if it is a format that suits you or not, for sure, it's a better deal than the Pixel Fold 🤧 I know the Fold is the perfect smartphone for me, but I'm waiting for Samsung to release a Fold with an external screen in the format of the Huawei Mate X3/Honor Magic V2 and a battery 🔋 of at least 4800mAh. With an external display in the format of the Mate X3, If your internal screen fails you, you have at least a fully usable smartphone.
I tend not agree with you my friend using z fold from last 1.5 years and I have a 5000 mah phone but my battery dies fast just because of I do heavy task like gaming and he doesn't do that things he use his phone for just pick up the call and whatsapp chatting and he got all day long battery life
The only use I found the bigger inner screen for is email, web browsing and its not really all that amazing for video compared to a regular phone since you can just tilt your regular phone into landscape mode and have sometimes a bigger video screen LOL. Other than that its pretty much pointless unless you do those 3 things quite heavily, its nice for gaming but all the Folds throttle heavily, Asus ROG Phone 5, 6 or 7 would be vastly superior for pure gaming, having dual speakers, headphone jacks, TWO USB-C ports which is mind boggling, and they are Taiwanese company so you wont feel guilty supporting animal abuse by buying mainland China products.
...why would anyone want this? (As a "nano laptop") Well because of S-pen integration, duh. That way you can write instead of typing, thus screen aint clogged up by on screen keyboard.
I definitely think that Samsung has been doing terrible on foldable hardware overall. Overall B grade cameras; not bad but not the best. The hinge not folding flat on itself is terrible. It shouldn't take 5 years to do what other companies did on their first shot. How come vivo (talking about the Vivo X fold) out of all companies make one the best foldables in terms of hardware on their first release but Samsung couldn't do it in 4. Samsungs archaic 2017 fast charging is stil what they are calling "super fast charging". Wow geez thanks for giving us one plus fast charging from 5 years ago. So far the z fold 3-5 have been a disappointment overall. The 5 is essentially what the 3 should of been. An ultimate refinement of the original z fold design. Hopefully the z fold 6 will bring way more improvements like an ultra sonic fingerprint sensor, larger camera sensor size, ATLEAST 65w of charging, and a s23 plus or an ultra size front screen. Watch literally any Pixel fold, oppo find n, or whatever folding phone and they all say something like "this front screen is actually way more usable then the z fold."
