- I bought a refurbished Samsug Galaxy Z Fold 3 off of ebay in "good" condition for $500! In this video I will talk abot the refurbished Z Fold 3 I bought and show off the condition and talk about the ebay 1 year warranty that came with the phone. The Samsung Galaxcy Z Fold 3 I got on ebay is in relaly god condition except for one blemish, but otherwise I'm really happy with it. Definitely the Z Fold 3 is a great phone for another year or two and no huge reason to upgrade to the Z Fold 4.

I got mines for $800 from att with a trade in when it came out i don’t really care about the 36 month gab as ATT works the best in my area unfortunately I had to pay an extra $275 for a replacement because my old z fold 3 felt in the concrete while working 😅
Would be interested to know about the 1 year warranty process... beard some people have trouble with allstate honoring the ebay warranty

I purchased the same Z Fold 3.. perfect screens but scratches near the front bottom area close to the hinge. Thoughts on returning? Not sure if it would be covered by the Allstate warranty?

On the topic of warranty.. I wanted to share my experience with Allstate/Squaretrade.
If you get their $9/month plan - if they deem your device beyond repair, they will send you a check for ONLY what you paid for.
When I dropped my Fold 4 it dropped directly on the hinge, busting up the inner screen. Took it to an Asurion repair shop based on the squaretrade process, they deemed it beyond repaid, had to mail it to squaretrade, they deemed it beyond repair, then sent me a check for what I paid for my Fold 4.
After discounts and 2 trade ins, I paid $754 for my Fold 4. They sent me a check for $754. I can't replace a 1TB Fold 4 for that price as far as I know. I was under the impression they would give me MSRP so I can actually replace my phone.
I called and talked to two different people, I always got the same respone. They will only honor up to what I paid for.
As a word of caution - When you get your warranties. Make sure to know exactly what you're getting, or ask customer service what or how much they will exactly cover. Don't assume just because you have a third party warranty doesn't mean it'll work exactly as you might expect.
Now I'm back to my Note 10 plus, but I miss my Fold. 😕
I'm essentially going through the same thing and back to my note 9.Problem being I'm not going to spend a couple grand on a phone and wanna buy a used fold but I worry if any warranty will cover it if the inside screen quits working after a couple months like my fold 2 did. I loved it so much that I am willing to chance a 3

Repairs are a good percentage of the original 1000 I paid so now it's just a broken

Cool ! ..my choice was a fold 3 and with the difference in savings I picked up the OriG Duo for a compare / contrast of those formats. Best tech purchases. Fold 3 for consuming content. The Duo is best described as "reading the news paper while listening to the radio". I like the screens but the fold 3 dominates the visual consumption. Still cool as my first calculator with a clock.( fond smile from 1979). I paid the Amazon tax for like new and if I had got THE box I'd need bail money for stealing.
I would love to see a video with the best phones you can get with a headphone jack. And any speculation if the Google 7a might have one. My 27 year old son will only upgrade if there is a headphone jack. He currently uses a pixel 4a.

Adam, I've been looking at some S21+ & S22+ to buy on Amazon or eBay for TRADE purpose only, Since you've been dealing with this TRADE stuff for awhile do you think Samsung will give about the same amount of money for the S21+? I'm trying to save as much money as I can & buying one is almost 200 bucks difference. Can you give me you're thoughts on which would make the most sense?

Hey Adam. That blemish is just on the screen protector. I got one used had the same little blemish. Took the screen protector off and it was perfect underneath. Super easy to take off.
That's a screen protector that comes off right? I remember people were taking off a layer that was not supposed to come off
@@Sheenifier Samsung does indeed advise to not take them off. However, you can. Lots of people have taken them off no issue. Other people have had various issues. Most people just easily take it off no problem like the post we're replying to though.
It's incredible how cheap these things are on eBay. I bought one and traded in for fold 4, so effectively I had a $850 discount on Fold 4. Still questioning myself if it was worth to do the trade-in as the fold 3 I got was really pristine.
The Chinese brands are just no match, even if I can buy them in the states. Samsung is doing its best for portable tablet markets.
what?? lmao. The chinese fold's are actually innovative, they have better hinge design, are thinner and lighter, and have wider displays, though i doubt they have chips as good as the snapdragon 8 gen 2. Samsung wont be doing their best until there is acutal competition in the NA market, only recently did we get the Oneplus Open and the Pixel fold.

I Trade in my Z Fold 5 for the Oneplus Open and as you, I saw on Amazon a renewed Z Fold 3 in excellent condition for 449 dlls and I bougth it. That made me think about the money I spent on the Z Fold 5 for minimal upgrades. I can use all my Z Fold 3 cases now, the expensive ones. Love it!
That ebay allstate warranty is trash. It only covers a malfunction and doesn't cover any damage at all. I purchased a 2017 ipad Pro 10.5 and it had the warranty. The touch screen would randomly go out and it took 4 calls for them to finally approve the repair and send me a prepaid label. I sent the iPad in and they sent it back to me saying that the device I sent wasn't the correct one. I just had to open a PayPal case to get a refund
Just ordered one also from eBay , the warranty is what did it for me $519, for A+ condition with the Allstate warranty included, can’t wait to see what kind of shape it’s in , I’m hopeful

I'm looking at the Sony Xperia 1 iii. I am feeling the same way. I don't have a way to check it out before I buy it. I have the Pixel 7 pro, but I'm thinking I will like the form factor better from Sony. I'll have to get the insurance if I get one. Thanks again for the great content.

I just got a full three from Amazon renewed for about 435. The condition of my device is pretty perfect. I haven't noticed any issues and I actually really love it. I got it to use it as a secondary device / tablet but I've actually been tempted to make it my primary phone. I only issue is the camera is not as good as the phone I'm using and the battery of life is a little weak

Mostly, if they repair (open) the phone, the phone gets worse. Big chance of dusk particals inside the camera, or over time. Waterproof may be lost.

i just brought the z fold 3 on ebay this pass weekend for a little over 650 in mint condition
I got one two weeks ago for 240bucks and only thing wrong is a tiny pixel on the big screen that dosent really show. I dailydrive a flip 5.
Speaking of Samsung phones. Read a article this morning in Toms Guide saying new Samsung phones could be delayed because they were trying to figure out how to price them. Speculation was that Google pricing of their phones was the cause. Time will tell.
Not surprised; they’re going to all Snapdragon processors for their flagships so that means certain countries will have a huge price hike like the iPhones. 🤷🏽♂️ but people wanted to get rid of the Exynos chips

I got the z fold 3 from Amazon renewed for $540. Then traded it in to Samsung last week and paid an additional $500 for a brand new z fold 4.
Gotta be honest, I never considered something like that but it's a damn SMART idea if looking to buy a new Fold 4
I would go Amazon Renewed instead. 90 day warranty but for the Premium Renewed has a year warranty.
I got one for 400 it had a few blemishes in the screen but still had 2 months of samsung 1 year warranty so they replaced it for free now its a new phone. Also samsung will one time replace the screen protector for free for everyone. Just thought I mention that.
Got to pay off my Pixel 6 pro then trade it in for the pixel flip or the pixel 8
