Big deal if you're comparing the fold 3 to the fold 6 so what, look how long it took to get there and they still won't put the spen in the damn phone. The Chinese phones are a lot bigger than the fold 6 and it only took two years to get there. At least they are listening to there customers Samsung could care less what we want it's take it or leave it we don't care.
I upgraded from my Galaxy S22 Ultra. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my Z Fold 6 so far. I jus got it last month. Only thing I miss is the better, AMAZING camera on my 22 Ultra. I miss the HIGH detail & also the 100x zoom! (I zoomed in on & captured the fckn MOON before! Crazy distance! 😂)

This is the type of review that should've been presented by ALL the youtube tech reviewers. You can highlight cons WITHOUT being completely biased or sounding like you're reading from the rhetoric. The Z line has been overly critiqued, even leading up to the leaks, but we are glossing by those same issues that came with the other phones that were released after the Fold (I'm looking at you iPhone 16 and Google Pixel 9). Thank you for giving a fair review without delivering a stale, lazy one that is basically someone else's opinion
That was an incredible comprehensive comparison from old to new. I myself have a Fold 4. I have just encountered for the second time, the screen protector lifting from the center of the phone. Outside of that, the phone has worked as it should. Well, I decided to trade in and get an ultra. To my surprise, I immediately was missing the capabilities of a fold phone. I contacted Samsung, and they allowed me to return the phone. I am now waiting for the 6 fold to arrive. One of the immediate disappointments was trying to unlock my phone with a screen protector. The sensor on the screen did not work nowhere near as well as the sensor on the side of the fold. I was also disappointed with there being one speaker facing your face versus both speakers exiting the side of the phone. Now, unless you're the poft marshmallow man. There should be no issue with allowing the side speakers to use your cupped hands as a form of redirecting sound, which ultimately helps with amplification of the sound waves. I also found it strange that the ultra 24 screen brightness just didn't seem to be as bright. Now, this, of course, is because if you're a user of a Fold device, you most often will use your device in an open position. The overall experience of searching through the internet and the format of which will be presented to you is far better than the format of any regular phone for that matter. Well, I hope my 2 cents help someone make a better decision. Well, there's one positive thing I did take away from experiencing the S24 Ultra, and that was how incredibly light the phone felt. The last time I had a phone in that form factor and size was a G NOTE, and when you had the G Note in your pocket, you were reminded it was there every step of the way.😂 We'll take care.I look forward to watching more of your content.

Coming from the Fold 3 this is a huge upgrade for me! I loved my 3, don't get me wrong, but there were a few things that bugged me all the time about it, that the fold 6 has addressed. I do wish they hadn't taken Live messages away. But , the Ai software more then makes up for it. Whether your an Ai fan or class it as gimmicky, I believe its here to stay and personally Love it! I use it on my PC for advertising and now I'm having too much fun with it on my fold 6. I found Noticeable differences in the Sound Quality and Brightness from the 3 to 6. Accidentally killed the Fold3 screen so I bought Fold6 few weeks ago. Can confirm everything said about Fold3 in this video. I enjoyed Fold3 a lot and didn't want to upgrade this year, but man, Fold6 does deliver huuge value comparing to the 3yo phone, especially about outer screen size, lightness, battery and the upgraded hinge design. Camera is faster, but I didn't notice any big quality upgrade as I liked the Fold3 colors reproduction a lot. The whole device seems much smoother and doesn't get as hot as the old one (can anything be hotter than SD888?).
I just got the fold 6. It's my first fold. I got the 1tb version on Samsung with my employer discount. It cost me 880.00 it is crazy how fun it is to play with.
Squaring off the phone made a huge difference. Even though it is relatively the same size as previous generations the front screen now feels good enough to use as a standalone comfortably.

I upgraded to the Fold 6 from the Fold 4. While factory resetting my Fold 4 to trade it in, the factory screen protector on the inner screen delaminated. 😅 Thankfully it still qualified for trade in. I am glad I skipped the Fold 5 and waited for the Fold 6.

I'm upgraded from the 3. It's the only one I saw from since the 3 worth the upgrade. I'm beginning to think every 3 to 4 models later is where the upgrade really is a step forward.
More like the fold 2, It's basically the same exact thing as the fold 2 Just slightly changed with the same damn hardware. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves and I should be ashamed for buying both the five and the six. If the vivo or xiaomi was here in usa I would have bought them instead. One UI is just too good to lose though

I feel it's not different enough for me to spend that much money, so I'm seriously considering the Magic V3. At least it's bigger (main and inner screen), thinner, lighter, bigger battery and you can use the pen on both screens!
As for fold 4 users.. i have noticed. Starting fold 5, no more settings for swipe notifications down from your power button.. This is due to hardware.. fold 5 and fold 6 using different types or sensors for the power button.. It's not a big deal .. but it's help even a small gesture. Just swipe rather than need to swipe down and cross your fingers all the way up the screen.. comment if this is handy for you❤

2 weeks ago (Oct 24) I bought a fold3 brand new for £529 uk. Up until now fold phones always interested me but i was too scared to drop £2k on a newish technology so I waited.....Now I cannot imagine going back to a slab phone. My only regret is not getting a foldable earlier. I'll keep my fold3 until it dies and then I'll get whichever iteration is current. To end my comment I will say that the fold3 performance in October 24 is still excellent and I would say to anyone considering getting one just go for it. You won't regret it.
Another reason for the screen not opening all the way that i found (at least with the fold 4) is that as the phone heat cycles, the glue that keeps the debris brush in place inside the hinge starts to fall apart. I pulled a full thread out of mine and im sure it wasn't from any clothing, and found other people on reddit finding the same threads coming out of the hinges

iPhone was using the CPU for the render, while the other phone were using the GPU hardware codec. Not a real comparison. You need to disable hw acceleration when encoding videos.
I just got my fold 4 inner screen replacement yesterday - can definitely confirm the crease is extremely small and the same as a new fold 6. Your thoughts seem correct, I'm guessing the crease will 100% be more prevalent over time.
To get the most battery life out of a samsung phone, turn on adaptive charging, and in modes and routines, in the sleep mode, turn off fast charging and fast wireless charging. You won't even notice that you're charging slower anyways since its supposed to properly figure out when youre sleeping based on your phone usage, and fast charging at night is useless since you're sleeping 6+ hours.

I'm really not convinced to upgrade from my f3 yet. If they could really improve the dimensions on the screens I'd consider the upgrade. Until then, the improvements just aren't worth it to me yet. My fold 3 has been great.

Great video, but are these phones still having issues with the screens cracking at the hinge point? It was a real problem with my F3 and Samsung refused to fix it after a year. They are a good idea but when folded the screen is to narrow to use daily, honestly the S24 ultra is the way to go IMO, thanks

It seems like pretty much the same with minor upgrades over the 5. I dont see the huge reason for an upgrade, especially for a tool i just use to watch videos, text, and make calls with.

I'm sticking with my tank of a phone, Fold5. I have an ultrathin aramid fiber magsafe case, and my phone has hit concrete three tkmes specatcularly with nothing but a slightly cracked camera lens that doesn't affect photos.
The camera on the s24 ultra is the reason im not going to upgrade to the fold 6, i had the 4 and man soon as you want to take a pic you realize your camera sucks, so you go watch RUclips with the screen open to feel good about yourself 😅
My launch Fold 3 still opens flat just fine, but I don't open it in dirty environments and I'm always very slow and careful when opening and closing it.
Fold 4 user, preordered fold4. Had to have inner screen replaced every year. Mostly have main screen open as usually at home. Galaxy AI works great on my fold 4 (it did get almost all of the same options as 6) since it got 6.1.1. It's got 90% of the things fold 6 got, but I appreciate this comparison alot. I am on the fence with getting fold 6 or going with Pixel 9 pro fold for my upgrade next month. I absolutely love Samsungs echo system for multi-tasking and tweaking every bit of my phone. After 2 years the fold in my fold 4 is almost non-existent, but that's because I keep it open like a tablet when ln its not in my pocket. Pretty much the only thing keeping me from staying and getting 6 is that front screen. It's a bunch w8der than my 4 but still annoyingly too narrow. I wish Samsung went wider like the Pixel 9 fold, because I truly will miss the Samsung software and how great it works with everything I do on it.

The big problem the inner screens still separate. I loved my fold 5 , but the screen separate on 2 of them. When reading on it. It happens allot.

I think the flex windows was in the "labs" section in the settings of the Fold 5. Very nice to have when it came to watching movies.

Although it looks much nicer, agreed, having the square corners heightens the chance of screen breakage, if dropped.

2 weeks ago (Oct 24) I bought a fold3 brand new for £529 uk. Up until now fold phones always interested me but i was too scared to drop £2k on a newish technology so I waited.....Now I cannot imagine going back to a slab phone. My only regret is not getting a foldable earlier. I'll keep my fold3 until it dies and then I'll get whichever iteration is current. To end my comment I will say that the fold3 performance in October 24 is still excellent and I would say to anyone considering getting one just go for it. You won't regret it.
Another reason for the screen not opening all the way that i found (at least with the fold 4) is that as the phone heat cycles, the glue that keeps the debris brush in place inside the hinge starts to fall apart. I pulled a full thread out of mine and im sure it wasn't from any clothing, and found other people on reddit finding the same threads coming out of the hinges
The software compatibility is definitely worth it. I'm coming from a s21u

iPhone was using the CPU for the render, while the other phone were using the GPU hardware codec. Not a real comparison. You need to disable hw acceleration when encoding videos.

I just got my fold 4 inner screen replacement yesterday - can definitely confirm the crease is extremely small and the same as a new fold 6. Your thoughts seem correct, I'm guessing the crease will 100% be more prevalent over time.
To get the most battery life out of a samsung phone, turn on adaptive charging, and in modes and routines, in the sleep mode, turn off fast charging and fast wireless charging. You won't even notice that you're charging slower anyways since its supposed to properly figure out when youre sleeping based on your phone usage, and fast charging at night is useless since you're sleeping 6+ hours.

I’m currently using the full Apple ecosystem, including the iPhone 12, Series 9 Apple Watch, M2 Mac, and AirPods. I’m thinking about getting the Z Fold 6. What are your thoughts? Recently, so many people have been purchasing iPhones, which is why I’m not considering the iPhone 16 series.
I'm really not convinced to upgrade from my f3 yet. If they could really improve the dimensions on the screens I'd consider the upgrade. Until then, the improvements just aren't worth it to me yet. My fold 3 has been great.

Great video, but are these phones still having issues with the screens cracking at the hinge point? It was a real problem with my F3 and Samsung refused to fix it after a year. They are a good idea but when folded the screen is to narrow to use daily, honestly the S24 ultra is the way to go IMO, thanks

I have a theory:
He uses the Bible on all the devices because it's free to obtain, won't get copystruck in the video footage, and is useful to demo a generic reading experience on all devices.
Might be less faith based and more just a logical conclusion. Could be both. Idk if that's where your mind went/what you were implying, just where my mind went. Maybe that's a me issue lol

He could just as easily pull up the news or a Project Gutenburg app that's loaded with copyright-free reading material, but he always chooses a Bible. Unless he said something specifically, it's more reasonable to assume he's a man of faith.

It seems like pretty much the same with minor upgrades over the 5. I dont see the huge reason for an upgrade, especially for a tool i just use to watch videos, text, and make calls with.
why don’t we have a hi res display that uses zero glass? seems to me that we should be working on removing glass from our displays so we can have a truly roll up display.

I'm sticking with my tank of a phone, Fold5. I have an ultrathin aramid fiber magsafe case, and my phone has hit concrete three tkmes specatcularly with nothing but a slightly cracked camera lens that doesn't affect photos.
The camera on the s24 ultra is the reason im not going to upgrade to the fold 6, i had the 4 and man soon as you want to take a pic you realize your camera sucks, so you go watch RUclips with the screen open to feel good about yourself 😅
It's aight it just can't compete with what's around it, but that's the problem, if you're paying this MUCH then you should have also the best cameras

My launch Fold 3 still opens flat just fine, but I don't open it in dirty environments and I'm always very slow and careful when opening and closing it.
It's like a time machine in regards to their camera's. I love the concept but I couldn't downgrade my camera for it.
Fold 4 user, preordered fold4. Had to have inner screen replaced every year. Mostly have main screen open as usually at home. Keen to know if inner screen will last longer in fold6, otherwise I'll have to go back to a slab phone. Any tips for inner screen life from other fold users appreciated please.

Galaxy AI works great on my fold 4 (it did get almost all of the same options as 6) since it got 6.1.1. It's got 90% of the things fold 6 got, but I appreciate this comparison alot. I am on the fence with getting fold 6 or going with Pixel 9 pro fold for my upgrade next month. I absolutely love Samsungs echo system for multi-tasking and tweaking every bit of my phone. After 2 years the fold in my fold 4 is almost non-existent, but that's because I keep it open like a tablet when ln its not in my pocket. Pretty much the only thing keeping me from staying and getting 6 is that front screen. It's a bunch w8der than my 4 but still annoyingly too narrow. I wish Samsung went wider like the Pixel 9 fold, because I truly will miss the Samsung software and how great it works with everything I do on it.
