@TheMusicalElitist Most studio recordings are these days. All edited cut pasted and triggered. Sad. Can't beat Big Figure's drums here for straight ahead rock and roll.
The best! And so vital for Feelgoods sound. Everybody is always on about the guitarists, but listen for example to "She does it right" The bass and drums are key...
What a time that was. We had Feelgood in Britain and George Thorogood in The States. It was a good time to be a young man. I'm 66 now and I still don't understand what went wrong. Young men still drink and fight but they don't own the music like they used to.
Love both the Feelgoods and George Thorogood; I think the influence of tehe Feelgoods has been underestimated. The Mayo years were as good as the Wilko Johnson years in my opinion.
I'm 61, been a feelgood fan since they started. The music isn't there any more and there are no bands carrying the torch. Down at The Doctors is a huge number in the band I play in. goes down a storm.
I'm french,I'm 68.Saw Dr Feelgood for the first time in june 75 at L'Olympia,Paris,France. Saw them in various lineups four more times.Saw Georges Thoroghood once, when he opened for the Stones in 80.Just love that kind of music.
Bloody hell. Never saw them with Gypie - never saw them at all after Wilko left - but really, I should have swallowed my pride, because this is FIERCE.
It was about ten years ago, I worked for a couple of weeks with a fellow carpenter who I got on with well enough, but a bit of a know-it-all; better at talking than listening. One time in the tea break, the foreman had the radio on and "Milk & Alcohol" was played. This guy piped up "No mistaking the sound of Wilko eh?" I had no choice but to respond with "well, you just have". I tried to explain, but he'd never so much as heard of Gypie Mayo and refused to back down. I remember that episode whenever I see or hear this lineup. They were great.
Kevin i feel the same as you with regards to this fab song , these guys are so vibrant and lively ,,, The feet move freely ,,, ive always adored these genius guys lol xJane x
my YT music sub played the Dr today and it was first time i heard them since their Adelaide gig back in the 80's. Met a girl there who asked me if I rode a motorcycle. I said I did and asked her name. She said "Lucky"....
Двтжения и поведение на сцене мне напоминает Панк но техника каждого каждого вокал и оранжировки все красиво сильно и серьезно .выкладка полная. Кайф! Спокойно не посидишь
You know this came out around the same time the likes of the Bay City Rollers and the Osmond Brothers were big stars don't you? Plenty of "pretty boy" music stars back then. Probably more than now!
@@glennlilley8608 Ummm, the year that Feelgood had their only No 1 album in the UK ("Stupidity" in 1976), the biggest selling single was a Brotherhood of Man song and the biggest selling album was ABBA's greatest hits. So yes, at the same time in the same decade.
Lee, a true rock and roll maniac. Very influential!
Tight Driving Rhythm & Blues.
Actual drummer, no autotune on the vocals. Great.
Are you saying that drummers nowadays are "fake"?
@TheMusicalElitist Most studio recordings are these days. All edited cut pasted and triggered. Sad. Can't beat Big Figure's drums here for straight ahead rock and roll.
Lee and Gypie - simply brilliant. RIP guys
The Big Figure & Sparko were SO TIGHT... man alive...

I 'm 57, I could n't agree more. Good luck brother " strange times indeed, most peculiar momma" as Lennon put it.

Exacto tenían un directo muyyyy bueno
Love Lee's jacket xx
Got to say, takes a brave man to say he likes a glass of Malibu, but to wear a jacket and pull it off, respect!

No BS, rock and roll!
ah, les vestes de Lee, toujours supers.........................
RIP Lee
Grandes por siempre irrepetibles
For many of us this track was the bridge out of punk rock back to the blues.
Can Watch this over and over 💪😎💥
Best version.
Oh! So there's another?
Wilco or Gypie?? You can love them both...👍👍
Had baby Jane on 12' single....loved original feelgood. Saw few times

Only Lee was left, difficult soul. RIP
Die Band zündet sofort und da gibt es auch kein langes Zögern .
I'd rather watch the Feelgoods than the Stones.......
A estos locos los ví yo hace mucho tiempo. Que no pare esa rabia inglesa
Seen quite a few of these with that jacket, what show ?
Love it. Amazing band.
much better than the strolling bones!!
Fucking good. Great band.
R.I.P. Gypie Mayo...

GReat tune, shame the Gypie period didn't last a bit longer in my opinion.
Shit hot rock n roll.
Adorei ver esta banda quando vieram á cidade do porto infante Sagres do melhor
I think the guitar has a very distinctive early acdc sound to it in this song.
What a fucking gem!
Diamond i love your comment , i feel the same as you ,, these blokes are electric lol Jane xx
Big Figure and Sparks be looking good.

Orignal: Otis Clay - Baby Jane
Anyone know the make/model of that red guitar?
Lee was a helluva harmonica player.
Nether years. Still, long ago.
I think that The Hives are Dr Feelgood fans!
Fab baby 👶 fab.....

Goin at it
Whatever happened to Baby Jane?
!!! а еще Milk & Alcohol класс !!!
i like
Wonder what happened to Big Figure and John Sparks after they left .
Mary Jane 😊
Ta!
Harp is in the key of D second position, if you make out the song to be in a, in case anybody wonders:)
Wondering about how live this performance is...the harp lingers at around 1:24 yet Lee's singing again.
Baby Jane........
Pity us young uns (40s) won't ever see them get back together
check out Charlie croker and the providers on you tube, the croker, bubble car, 991/2, can't get enough and others are top tracks
I didn't realise Bill Murray was a drummer !!
It resembles me a little bit to AC/DC Live Wire
Imagine what that stage must've smelt like!
With a different sounding band this could be a great punk song.
When groups were natural looking and not pretty boys like today's bands 🙄😂
