ive been on youtube at work for 8 hours so far searching for information to LS swap my 87 suburban on tractor tires and 2.5 tons, or build my small block 350. came across your videos and everything was explained perfect i have no other questions. how u dont have a million subs i dont know. i will buy you a beer brother. thank you
I know this video is about the Holley Sniper but, I couldn’t help seeing you still have the stock radio. I just added Bluetooth and low pass amp RCA jacks to mine. It was really easy to do.
I put a genV LT 5.3 in my third gen camaro.... stage 3 Texas speed cam 6l80 transmission.... waiting for my harness so I can start it for the first time
91-92 are my favorite years for that generation Camaro I bought a 91 RS 5.0 when I graduated high schoolOnly problem was the insurance was as much as a car payment
I would have given you a part number but Id hate to have ya order the wrong parts for your setup, mine were for a 5.3 to factory clamshell mounts.. good luck with your build, feel free to reach out with more questions!
Love video. This is something I want to do if I get a 3rd gen or gbody. I think going with a sniper efi system is better than stock intake style. Love how you can adjust everything your self
That’s what I’m going to do as well I’m using the factory clam shells as well I’m going to use a turbo 350 transmission with a 3500-3800 converter and a stage two summit cam I’m copying Richard holdener setup on the 6.0 build witch should net me around the 550 hp zone I’m hoping to keep the heater box and all
I just got a 6.0 and I’m starting to get all of my parts together for a swap As well did you have to change the oil pan and can you put a link up for the engine mounts that you used
@@KravasGarage What year.I have a Medium Quasar Metallic blue 92 25th aniversrey Camero Z28 T TOPS all original with 19 thousand original miles.I ordered the car new back in 92 and I am very lucky to hold onto it since new. They only built a little over 5thousand Z28 for the 25th year.It definitely turns heads.I have other car's in my collection but my Z28 is my only Chevy.
@@KravasGarage I love that you are still running the stock rims, but that also might be a problem for you too. I swapped to a 275 rear tire and it makes a big difference. Also you could try a LCA relocation bracket to help the stock rear squat. I ended up with the Hawks Motorsports 8.8 rear and it has three positions built in, I still need to figure out what works best
Do you have or can you make a parts list? I have a gen 4 5.3 that I am putting in my 1990 Camaro and it would be nice to have a parts list so i can figure out costs and know what all i will need.
Hey man I was wondering if you have a full list of what you used to swap a 5.3 vortec engine into your Camaro. I have a 92 camaro rs 305 V8 and want to t56 swap and put a 5.3 vortec engine into. I would appreciate you helping me out .
Just stumbled onto your feed man, awesome content. I’m running a similar set up in a 79 c10 just carbed. Still learning how to tune the 6014 and what works best with my cam and such. Any pointers or tips would be appreciated
I have the same car and am on the road to putting a 5.3 in it. Are you worried at all about the t top body warping? That something that I am worried about. Just looking for some reassurance haha
I have a new set of Spohn subframe connectors that I will be installing soon, may do the wonder bar and a triangular strut tower brace as well. I plan to do an install video for this!
add sub frame connectors, all the bullshit about t-top cars being weaker is bullshit.the reason they didn't have 350s and t-tops in some third gens was only because of weight and the gas guzzler tax.
My th400 was built as a three speed full reverse manual valve body, therefore it's a manual shift. So no need for a kickdown. If you needed it, you would install the Holley sniper with a throttle cable bracket that accepts the kickdown cable.
Yes, the Sniper handheld and laptop are only needed if you wish to make any tuning changes, or datalog, however the handheld doubles as a nice performance monitor so i mounted it on the column..
The last things you should be worried about are a) trends, and b) comments from viewers.
It's your car. Do whatever you want.

Do you happen to have a full list of parts you used? Eventually I will put an LS in my 3rd gen firebird, might as well get a parts list together.
I don’t think he’s gonna respond 😂
@NM 1985 ZIA I already completed the LS swap, so I guess I didn't need him to.
Oh man, ol son. I'm from Iowa too. Currently starting my first ls swap on the ol 3rd gen Is how I stumbled across your channel!
Nasty build! Love the car & 5.3 setup. The sniper and msd is sick!
Saw the third gen instantly subbed 🤘🏼 third gen life! Car looks great!

I appreciate this work. Thanks for posting.
That's a bad @$$ setup bro !!! Thank you for sharing !!!
I got the exact same seats and interior in mine.
She sounds healthy
Love the car. Wish we were neighbors
I really wanted to hemi swap a car but $$$ was a big issue. Can’t get cheaper than a 5.3, nice job man

Bout to get my 83 z28 t-top underway soon..
Nice job
Good job man!
That car would be so fun with a Tremec 5 speed. Sounds awesome man!
Tried and True
I would really like a 5.3 stick third gen
I just got a 6.0 and I’m starting to get all of my parts together for a swap As well did you have to change the oil pan and can you put a link up for the engine mounts that you used
Yes I changed the pan for ground clearance and I went with Dirty Dingos swap mounts.

I'm down in Georgia. I just bought a 85 with a 350. I definitely need engine work. Are you close to Ga?
I'm running a T-56 with a 3.73 rear. I had a 4.10 with the original motor but that gear is too tall for a RPM happy motor.
Good to know, I've been tossing around the idea of 4.10s with taller tires for traction issues, but am going to try them with the 3.73s first!

Only thing I've changed so far is the startup settings.. as far as overall tuning I just let it do what it wants!
Pennsylvanian I see
vary nice i love it have you been to the track with it
I need a energy swap I have a1996 z28 I’m going with a 5.3
I’m wanting to is my 90 z28

Are you able to keep the stock gauges working if you want too?
It can be done, I haven't researched much, the hardest would be to keep coolant temp and oil pressure, the rest are easy.
hey, [USERNAME] Nice video! 🤩
Nice build what gears in the rear
Thanks, 3:73
What shifter?
Did you hook up a kick down cable with the 400

TH400 doesn't use a kick down "cable" like the TH350. The 400 uses an electronic kick down switch.
New sub here.
Thank you!
Just put A built 700 in it
Can you drive it without having to bring the electronic stuff with you?
Yes, the Sniper handheld and laptop are only needed if you wish to make any tuning changes, or datalog, however the handheld doubles as a nice performance monitor so i mounted it on the column..
