    This looks awesome, I really like how cards are used over dice. I'll definitely be checking this out.

    This is such a relaxing game. I usually have "transport tycoon" soundtrack on while playing this. This game works fine solo as well.

    Not sure if you take corrections for Rundowns, but for fence-building , the fence doesn't need to be built on the same street that you write a number in for. Rulebook quote: "The architect has written a 5 on the third house of the second street in order to start a 3-house estate. Then they built a fence between the first and the second house of the first street, therefore splitting a 3-House estate into 1-house and 2-house estates."

      aargh! i *HATE* it when important rules are delivered in examples instead of the actual rules. since the rules themselves say "Allows the player to build a fence between two houses on the same street", i think it's reasonable that anyone would interpret 'same street' as ' same street where you wrote the number'.
      thanks for the heads up!

      rahdo completely agree the rules need a re-issue! I didn’t understand the pool rules properly until I watched your video since that rule is filled with typos.

    Benoit, on bgg, said that they thought really hard about changing Bis for the US version but in the end they decided to leave it in as a nod to the culture that the game from.

    How is a rundown different from a run through?

    • @rahdo
      @rahdo  5 лет назад +7

      oh, sorry i missed your question! basically i'm trying to keep rundowns under 15 minutes by quickly going through a turn or two, while runthroughs tend to be 30-60 minutes, and include extended 'final thoughts' sections

      @@rahdo Yeah it was more of a "will i like this game, let me see a quick turn or two" versus "I don't understand this rulebook". This rundown made it quick to understand the concept but there were a few details in the rules that weren't explained which we came across. But for the most part this video made it quick to start, thanks!

    What is BIS an abbreviation for? Assuming it's a French thing but interested in the translation.

      Bis derives from latin. In latin bis means twice, or two times. For this reason it is used in europe for a place with same numeration. Here in italy is very common.

      Clumsy Dad if you have iOS, you can download the companion app then bypass the paper sheets completely. Still use the cards but no pen and paper needed and scoring is handled automatically.

    Great game, but shameful company. They did not treat their backers properly. I would never buy a DWG game anymore.
