Haha, goes to show how differently people approach games - for me it is usually the 'story" that's totally irrelevant in games when they have one (or pretend to have one) :)
Another one we play which also has no theme is DICE STARS.

Rahdo, could you please give the names of dice games you can recommend? I have a couple of kids whom seem to be picking up math quicker when we use dice. So if you have any games that you found a bit more immersive, using dice, could you please advise me of these games names?

Low numbers aren't that bad in this game since you need the exact numbers especially for the yellow and blue areas.

Odd that the purple section needs a dice higher than the previous one but has a 'less than' symbol on it.
Yes, that's exactly what that means.
Because the previous number is always going to be less than the one that follows it.
Ex. 4 < 5 is true but 4 > 5 would not be a true statement. So the wording and symbol are technically correct.
But I get what you mean, it’s implicit in the explanation and the wording doesn’t exactly synchronize with the score sheet.
You're right. I got the symbols confused.
Do I understand correctly that this is NOT simultaneous play? People do nothing while you decide what to do except when there are dice on the silver plater and even with that they have to wait for enough dice to be on there as well? This seems a bit AP inducing and the fact that players can’t even be AP at the same time... If what I said above is true, I think this is a pass. :-(
Julie LeBouthillier well your loss couse this is definitely the best roll n write out there.. i really love it ,played like 30 games in a row haha
JanFrensin not my loss. If you understood how AP my wife is you would understand that sitting there waiting for her to choose while I cannot do anything at all, not even think of my next move or strategy... would be way too painful and not worth our time when most roll and writes out there are simultaneous.
I get it, I played it with all players count but my favorite is solo so there's that :)
Julie LeBouthillier that's true, but it's surprisingly quick. I think it's a good 2 player, 4 player would indeed mean you wait. On the hand it's thinky enoigh but you can chat about other things while playing. Why not print off a few sheets from the publishers website and have a go yourself? You don't need to buy this game.
