I played along on photoshop and I'm pretty happy of how it turned out, 147 pt ! That's a 63 pt solo score. Also, the C monsters at 5:32 should have rotated the other way on the map, counter clock-wise according to the card's sign. See my cartography : zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=20/48/ce5b.png I think I used diplomacy 3 times and forgot to draw a windmill on the top right hand corner one.
Nice game for a playalong. I also got the title Legendary Cartoghrapher. Borderlands being the final scoring card made a big difference. Probably won't get such a hig score in the future
Could have used the search in the 3rd round to fill in the lowest right corner with forest. Not that it would help much, but possible. Also could have moved the two farm on the left down, and lost one less point to the monsters.
For the first one he got the coin at 9:27 The second one he took the coin at 14:34 Looks like someone has to pay a little more attention to the videos before reporting "goofs"
Thanks for the game, I am happy I got to play. But I think you made a mistake. Monsters in summer should move according to the arrows on the card - left and down.
If you are referring to 5:51, it was already noted on the Klingon Subtitles... Like Richard says at the start of the first video, please turn on the Klingon subtitles to see when he makes goofs! If you are referring to another situation in the video, please tell me the timestamp.
Like Richard has been saying for at least 1 year at the start of all of his videos (including this one), Please Turn ON the Klingon Subtitles, that way you'll know when he made a Goof, like that one you reported that was already noted there!!
sorry it's been a few years since i played so i don't remember for sure, but maybe ask here: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/263918/cartographers/forums/0 you're sure to get a solid answer :)
You and Jen don’t like take that and I very much don’t, so really like this game but passing your paper for opponent on monster attack to mark on it to destroy keeps me from buying. Any suggestions to make this not so harsh?
Would you like the game better if an inbuilt/house rule would dictate where to draw the ambush? Even if the outcome was the same? I'm asking because the objective here seems to be to give you a new problem to solve mid-game, which I actually think it's a nice twist. But because the maps develop in such different and dynamic ways, it is easier to have other players present you with the appropriate problem instead of adding a complicated rule. But you could house rule this by having every player draw his own ambush, but defining maxing out on empty attached squares and specifying minimum and maximum distances to drawn areas.
Played last night with friend. Already addicted. Tnanks for helping. Every 2-3min checked your video for help

5:38 The Ambush proceeds along the map counter-clockwise.

It would possibly help in filling a row or column for borderlands
22:20 CONCENTRATE!
Rahdo singing Meatloaf and Michael Jackson. Nice!
For the turns at 19:50 and/or 21:39 why didn't he put in the top right corner to complete a borderland??
probably because i was a dumbkoff :)
at 10:00 & 15:06, Rahdo forgot to gain the extra coin by going small tiles. Nice playthrough BTW!
For the first one he got the coin at 9:27
The second one he took the coin at 14:34

Forgot to get coin from the first mountain in the prior video, too!

@@PauloRenato23 You are right.
How many times have you played this through?
this video was the 3rd time i'd played it
During Fall, C was 20 points, not 17.

You could use the solo mode rules for the Ambushes. The downside is that ther wouldn't be anny player interaction
I was excited, but the take that killed it for me :(
You could just use the solo rules for the attacks in multiplayer.
Just don‘t put the attack cards in the deck!
