News story quote from the officer: “It was strange. As I’m lying there I’m thinking to myself this actually did happen. I didn’t even know what to think about at that point,” Goodyear said. “It didn’t seem real as it was happening.” She was brought to the hospital, where she was treated for her minor injuries. But once she was discharged, she visited the student to check up on her at home. “She came down the stairs saw me standing there and as she was walking toward the door she was getting teary-eyed, and you could see it and when she got teary-eyed, then her dad started getting teary-eyed, and we all started at that point,” Goodyear told the news station.

@[RAIN spd] #shorts the car was supposed to stop since the woman was signaling the car to stop but it didn't
She’s such a hero. She threw her out of the way even thou she knew she would be struck by the vehicle… prayers she has a good recovery❤️❤️
I feel bad for saying this because I have this weird skill where I can see things most people would missed.
1. The girl didn't look both way while crossing the road.
2. The girl dodged the car, but the lady in orange overestimated and pulled the girl. The pulling cause a whiplash that caused the lady to spin and eventually losing her balance.
3. The driver was probably texting / distracted.
🐻
@@condorX2 the kid didn't look both ways because there was a lollipop lady right in front of her who had signaled the oncoming car to stop.
the girl was in the same position as the officer before she was pushed away, if the officer hadn't pushed her away, both of them would've gotten injured, also im not sure what your trying to prove??
@@johnxina7797 It's simple.
Try pay close attention to the white line the lady is standing on and the car bumper.
Now watch how the kid crossed it before the lady pulled the kid arm. That's right, she was trying to sling her.
It's not push many would mistaken for. She was pulling and the extra kinetic friction caused her whole body to spin and then she dropped to the ground from slipper road.
The car didn't hit the lady if anyone is wondering.

This is why, despite people telling me to just walk into the crosswalk because I “have the right of way” and “the driver legally has to stop”, I just can’t. I want to be absolutely sure the driver sees me and is going to stop for me. I’d rather make eye contact and get a wave than just assume.
Exactly. I have a lot friends and know a lot of people that just walks without looking or they look but still goes ahead because they think just because they have the right of way, the car is going to stop. People need to realize that there’s bad drivers and evil people. And I keep telling them that ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE CAR WILL STOP !!!
I learned that years ago, when a car was also inches of hitting me. I used to be that person that assumed the car will stop. And that literally scared me and gave a wake up call.
It really is a dumb argument. I don’t really care who wins the court battle if I’m dead
Super Amen to that! Better safe than sorry any day.
I always tell my kids, look left and right and left and right and left and right again. Look at the driver ALWAYS before walking across the street.
sometimes the cars keep coming drivers dont give a f to pedestrians, its in the handbook they have right of way, and the car cant move until they reach the other side, i always let pedestrians go, the car back out of parking lanes, and let people merge to there next exit, but sadly people dont want to the same becuase they think they the only person that has to get somewhere

I am currently learning to drive but being a pedestrian for so long I have developed a disdain for some of the car drivers. I find some.of them.impatient, rude and dangerous. “She came down the stairs saw me standing there and as she was walking toward the door she was getting teary-eyed, and you could see it and when she got teary-eyed, then her dad started getting teary-eyed, and we all started at that point,” Goodyear told the news station.
