Glad there are some salvageable components. That's quite an intricate supercharger design. Cool how it comes intercooled from the factory. A lot different than my Eaton M90gen III supercharger.
Great save Dave, I would have been freaking out. But eventually I would have been it’s dead now unless I dig into it. Break it down and see what I can find. Great content.
Was hoping to see the "rotors" come out. The main concern seems to be that it might have suck in part of the broken throttle body. A close-up inspection seemed to be in order... Oh well, I'll just assume :) Thanks you for the video. Thumbs up.
@@Junkyard_Dave I don't get it. I usually have to look for you. I did get to catch up on all your videos today while I was waiting out the tornado here in Houston lol
I Got One Thats Noisy At Idle. It Sounds Like Dry / Worn Ball Bearings. But It Feels Smooth By Hand With Belt Off. I Feel Like A Very Little Bit Of Play When Rocking The Supercharger Pulley Back And Forth. If I Do It Quick Enough I Can Get It To Make A Little Knock Sound. Im thinking The Idle Pulses Are Making This Knock Sound At Idle Making That Sound. I Thought Maybe It Was A Worn Coupler But After Seeing Tear Down It Doesn't Look Like This Style Has A Coupler. (ive only been inside a m90 lol)
And the bypass throttle is just a stock 4 cylinder throttle body from any dodge same gen same with the map sensors srt4 use the side ones just keep in mind other dodge parts work on the blower way cheaper than ordering hellcat parts
If those rotors are out of time, my guess would be those shafts maybe benout outa line by few 1000 due to the abrupt stop, that Teflon coating shouldn't have any marks that tells me she's bent, by few degrees
do you have any spare supercharger lids from the hellcats and if so how much would you sell it for cause im seeing them go for 2k but honestly i would not pay that much
Dave, you may have more overall Mopar knowledge then any of their engineers. They should be coming to you for suggestions on how to make improvements to all of their cars.

Looks like you didn't destroy the supercharger!!! The crash almost did, but it looks like it's OK and you can rebuild it.

Let's go dave I hope you can still use her!!!
Should be usable
Good save Dave, a few minor parts and you're back in business
That was interesting, Dave. I never seen the inside of a Dodge Hellcat supercharger.
I just picked up a HELLCAT I'm trying to learn as much as I can ,,Very informative. I wished you had shone the better gasket and plate you spoke of.
Keep up the good work you is doing I like how u break it down in parts 👍
You should throw em for a loop and do a Camaro/chevelle etc..LS swap
You should start MOparYARD with all the good extra parts when your done with the build lol 😁
Nice to see how one of those work.

how can one tell the difference visually when comparing the old supercharger to the new ones? I cant seem to tell them apart, anyway you can point me?
Any recommendations on things to look for when buying one of these off marketplace, a check list if you will?
Brooooooo, YT has kept you out of my recommendations for like a month. Wtf.
Dave is too tall for them. They always looking at his knees
@@Shiftheads His swaps are too powerful for YT.

Hey Dave, why not use the guts out of that one to rebuild the Trackhawk supercharger?
Check out ZPE Griptec blower pulleys
Dave I love your vids, but I need to see some mk2 golf action ! Please
Hello, what would be the best site to find parts for the Hellcat blower?
Thanks
Is it possible to fix a supercharger with locked up rotars?
How do you replace the bearings in the snout
How long does a 2018 hellcat supercharger typically last? (Not raced, not beat on at all) how much does it typically cost to have on rebuilt?
How reliable are these if taken care of and not beat on? How many miles can you expect to get off one?

Well done

Do you have any good cooler bricks? I’ve been looking for a pair
shaft could be slightly bent causing it to feel tight ... just a thought
I did a runout it's straight
Fantastic video
Thanks
Good info here Dave.
Are you going to put a motor back in the Durango?
No it's a 2017 I'll put the original one in when the built one is ready
Absolutely awesome video. Thanks
it is sure a good $core Dave, thanks for sharing this disassembly .

I think you can get them from dodge
Bro the lid are all over Facebook for under 4/500
you need to clean that garage bro.
Yeah time is the issue
You going to finish any your other cars and stop pissing about with superchargers
Your videos are starting to be boring

Yeah there are a few youtubers that they should listen to but dont
